Hi, I was trying to use Flash tool and Don't know what happend but My Phone is completely DEAD right now even power button is also not working no screen is there (just blank phone).
I am having UMI X2 2GB rom, 32 gb internal memory, 1.5 GHZ (MT6589T) Model.
I tried to use SP Flash tool to recover my phone. Firstly I tried to format the phone, After that I tried to run the correct scatter file for MT6589 (from one of the ROM Posted under UMI-X2).
Drivers for the SP Flash tool is loaded correctly (into my Windows 8 Pc). I was previosly getting error as follow : SP FLASH TOOL ERROR: (8200)
[Platform Error] The load and target are inconsistent!
Now, after searching a lot I found that its something wrong with SP Flash tool version.
So I downloaded SP Flash Tool V3.1304.O.sn119 version. After that I am trying to "Download" the rom (with the correct scatter file for my ROM). but its only showing me RED Bar (with 100%) and after that it does nothing. Its neither showing me any error nor its continuing the process.
I am in serious problem here. Please help me out.

I have the same issue.
A couple of days ago the phone just started turning off / locking up when off, and having great difficulty tuning on... i.e. pulling out the battery for a minute or a few times.
Now the phone won't turn on at all. They only sign of life is the charging animation when you plug it in.
Prior to all this, there appeared a window in Chinese with some options. my GF (who's phone it is) just pressed something, no idea what. But she said something about 'drawing on the screen'??? sound like something locked up and the previous frame wasn't deleted from the frame buffer before redrawing the new one... I have no idea.
Anyway, I tried going into recovery to see if there was anything I could do there, unfortunately everything was in Chinese, so not much help. for some reason now, the recovery isn't even working.
Now I can connect to the phone via SPflash, but I get the above response: '[Platform Error] The load and target are inconsistent!'
Some other ROMs I tried give me this response:
'The load to be downloaded is for MT6589;
The target platform is MT6582_S00'
Which is quite suspicious.
Any ideas?

I really need help from someone! It's been a few weeks (months) that my phone is dead, after I make flash a wrong ROM. The problem is that now the following error appears when I try to flash another ROM:
BROM ERROR: s_ft_nfb_download_code_fail (4014)
Fail to Download Image (s) to NAND flash.
And when I try to format the phone this message appears:
BROM ERROR: s_da_NAND_unknown_err (3040).
Is there any salvation for my device! Please any help would be appreciated!

I solved and I encountered the same problem .. I went to web to find solution for this error but I found nothing. that lead me to this post. I spend whole day to try to solve it luckily I solved mine.
Solution.
update your sp flash tool.. or use an installation version of sp flash tool.
make sure you uncheck DA checksum. then flash.
this might solve your problem. if not or went into boot loop.
2nd
format the bad blocks then flash
3rd
plz use tested firmware with complete files including userdata and secro.
4th solution is later my pc went to hanging...

hi friends i am new at this forum and need some help, before this, I usually figured everything out by reading others thread or googling. But now I need your help guys. I recently try to flash my i ball cobalt 4 with the stock rom of the same version [downloaded from needrom.com],But I probably did a mistake and I was messing up with bootloader. The result is that my phone wont even start. No bootloop, no recovery, nothing. Display and everything else remains dead.
At least is phone still detected by computer when I connect it as mtk usb port[it is on META mode now i think]
Also in Smart Phone Flash Tools phone is still visible.
But when I try to flash or format anything it gives me this error message:
It says:
"BROM ERROR: S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032)
[EMI] Enable DRAM Failed!
[HINT]: Please check your load matches to your target which is to be downloaded"
I already tried different versions of SPFT and also stock cobalt 4's ROM's from diferrent sources.cleaned mtk deivers many times by using usbdeview according to tutorial. but sadly did not get any success.
My OS is Windows 7x64.
Please guys, this is the first time I'm asking for a help, because I am really desperate and I don't know what else try to make my phone flashable and working again. I googled, searched lot of topics, everything what I was capable to think about. I would be super gratefull for help.

BTW: I heard some phones can be turned to some kind of "service" bootloader mode with connecting two contacts on main board of phone. Do you know if iball cobalt 4 have this function?
one more thing is that when i selected scatter file first time in spft it gave me an error invalid scatter file so i had to delete scatter file's first line[ie birdtoolminver3.4].so is the scatter file is problem of mentioned error.

I've had the same problem. The problem is the usb port or a wrong rom Image. I have 8 ports And 2 works. And the image must exactly for your prozesor. S905w, S905x and other have been installed. Try your luck here forum.freaktab.com/forum/tv-player

I am doing exactly the same thing you said, loading the firmware, press start then connect the A-A USB cable. but it failed by flashing at 1% with the error

If you are getting a low Power fault are you connecting the power source while you were trying to flash because maybe that's needed as well
I had the exact same issue with an x96 mini that I just got. There was nothing I could do to get past the 'Romcode/Initialize DDR/Download buffer/Read item data failed' error. Tried different cables, different computers, win 7, win 10, win xp. They would all give the same result. I think the newer x96 minis are locked some how so you can't flash anything on it. I couldn't even boot libreelec or coreelec off of an sdcard. That's why I tried flashing atxperience and that's what bricked mine.
In the end I ordered a new box and won't try to flash it.

Hi I have the same problem.
I bricked mine while trying to install magisk because I lost the faulty root that the box came with while trying to fix it with kingroot but magisk just made it worse.
Were you able to get past the error:- [0x10103005]Romcode/Initialize DDR/Download buffer/Read item data failed
connect usb to usb and start the program and load image file , keep shorting the point to ground until it recognize the port and will burn the image

while shorting the pin i can successfully connect the box to my pc but the usb burn tool fails at 4% with error:
"romcode/switch status/identify/error result"
any advice?

I'm struggling with the same problem. I found what may be an alternate image for the 1GB/8GB hardware.
T95R-905WB-1G8G-TW00023-R1648.zip - I can't post the link for this, but if you google it, you can access the cached version of a page that has a link to a google drive archive.
I have the 2GB/16GB version, so this doesn't work for me. I end up failing with a NAND error furthing into the programming. I'm still looking for a way to get my box working again - another image or a way to change the RAM/ROM spec in this image.

I have the same problem. Here is the story:
I bought X96 MINI Amlogic S905W, 2GB/16GB, Android 7.1.2. It worked fine one week. Then just stopped to work. The problem is when I plug in the power cable, only the red light is on and the device is dead. The seller told me I have to try pressing the AV reset button 1 - 2 minutes with tooth pick to reset the device. Nothing. Then the seller said I have to flash the firmware with USB burning tool. I tried with two different versions of USB burning tool (2.1.2 and 2.0.8) with several .img files. But every time I get this error, that is discussing here. I cannot find any solution. I still don't want to disassemble it, because it's new ...
By the way, is there any other procedure to "wake up" the device, without flashing the firmware?
I have the exactly same problem. Flash always fails with read data item failed error in my bricked tanix tx3 mini with all the roms I tried so far. Is there any way I can flash twrp in this device? I made a backup in twrp before i started the process. I was able to flash atvx rom only once with erase bootloader unchecked. Since then I am not even able to enter recovery. Device gets connected in flash mode but always fails with read data item failed.

Tried rooting my phone, the oukitel k10000 max, with sp flash tool and it hard bricked straight away, download and recovery don't work but windows recognizes it's there when I plug in with usb so theres hope, I just can't seem to find a solution that actually works in any way, also I didn't back up nvram or dram so now when I try to flash it gives me the (4032) error code for dram, seemingly can't flash anything at all. Help would be greatly appreciated, might even wire some paypal dough if someone can help me get it working again? Also my drivers are installed properly as far as i can tell, i installed them in the disable driver signature verification start-up mode.

Anyone wanna help me with my K10000 Max? Tried installing the stock rom with Magisk installed, with the Smart Phone Flash tool and it completely bricked my phone. Black screen and wont even respond to the power button. When connecting it with a PC, Windows complains about not recognizing the USB device. Do i have a 200€ brick now that i can toss in the garbage? Please help before the wife finds out and kicks my head in!
EDIT: Disconnected the battery and the phone gave little signs of life again and was actually recognized by the flasher software. Tried to flash a stock image again and it gave me this:

EDIT 2: Figured it out myself! In a deep despair, i tried like a 1000 different roms but nothing worked. Even the backup rom that i made before i first flashed my phone didn't work, giving me a different error, something about the chipset. Today, i wondered why the scatterfile said my rom was for the 6735 chipset, as the K10000 MAX is a 6753 device. Changed the line in the scatter file manually and tried to flash it afterwards and i nearly **** my pants when it actually started flashing the phone. Flash was successful and now the phone is working again. Now i just need to find a working custom rom for it.
