HMS Core connects developers and users to facilitate efficient application development
HUAWEI AppGallery is an application distribution platform pre-installed on Huawei phones, dedicated to providing rich, high-quality, and safe applications to users in more than 170 countries/regions around the world. As of Q2 of 2020, its global monthly active users (MAU) have exceeded 460 million.
HMS Core is a hub for Huawei Mobile Services and serves as a toolkit for app development on Huawei devices.It is a bridge connecting developers with Huawei users. HMS Core focuses on three parts: development, growth, and monetization. Each piece has various accessibility (Kits and APIs) that aim to help developers achieve efficient application development, rapid growth, and flexible monetization and accelerate developers to provide Huawei end users with high-quality applications and services.
In the development stage, HMS Core allows developers to develop applications quickly and efficiently. After the developer’s app calls the interface of HMS Core, it can use corresponding functions that are part of the HMS Core, saving a lot of development work. In the monetization stage, HMS Core’s Ads Kit, In-App Purchases , etc. can help app developers realize multi-channel monetization.
Quickly publish games to HUAWEI AppGallery Connect
Starting from v2.4.1, developers can access Huawei HMS Core with one click through Cocos Creator, and upload games to HUAWEI AppGallery Connect with one click.
Directions:
Developers can enable SDKHub in the Cocos Creator service panel and configure the corresponding SDK presets.
When building, select HUAWEI AppGallery Connect and select the configured SDK preset.
After the build is completed, you can upload it with one click through the upload window.
Help games break through the boundaries of imagination
On June 29, Huawei released HMS Core 5.0 based on enhancing the original capabilities of the service and added multiple services in various fields such as graphics and media, further improving Huawei’s core-device-cloud high-quality software and hardware capabilities, and making it open to global developers.
HMS Core 5.0 is geared toward the game field and can meet the five subcategories of game developers and publishers, including basic development, network acceleration, game innovation, operational monetization, and game security, and help game developers innovate their experience.
In the field of game development, graphics rendering technology is indispensable. The Computer Graphics Kit (CG Kit) provided by HMS Core can make developers’ applications more exquisite and rendering efficiency, and offer more immersive 3D graphics rendering effects for mobile games.
Cocos Creator will be integrated with the underlying algorithms of CG Kit, based on Huawei chips and equipment, to release greater graphics rendering performance, helping game developers create high-quality, innovative applications that enhance the gaming experience.

Up to now, Huawei has users in more than 170 countries around the world, and 1.6 million developers have joined the HMS ecosystem.

On September 11, the Product Executive of HMS Core's HUAWEI Analytics Kit spoke at an App Service sub-forum, to introduce global developers to the service's analysis capabilities. Features of HUAWEI Analytics Kit range from simplified SDK integration to intelligent product analysis, flexible event analysis, and rich multidimensional analysis reports. When combined, these allow developers, as well as product and operations personnel, to easily understand their users' behavior, and make informed decisions about how to market and optimize their apps.

Free Cross-platform Services
During the keynote speech, the biggest highlight was arguably the fact that the Kit offers both cross-platform and multi-device analysis. With unified analysis of Android, iOS, and web products, product and operations personnel can view aggregated analysis reports for different platforms and devices, and drill down into analysis reports for certain platforms or devices. This means they can gain comprehensive insight into user behavior across different platforms and devices.
Diverse Analytics Models and Flexible Event Analysis
HUAWEI Analytics Kit can automatically collect more than 30 types of events, including app crashes, installations, uninstallations, updates, in-app purchases, and ad clicks. What's more, the Kit can generate dozens of multidimensional analysis reports based on more than 500 custom events, helping developers to customize events related to their services to comprehensively measure the performance of their apps.

Flexible Audience Segmentation for Targeted Marketing
With HUAWEI Analytics Kit, developers can segment audiences by event and user attributes, or generate audiences based on retention analysis and funnel analysis, with one click. This helps them quickly implement hierarchical user operations.

The generated audience can be used to set filtering conditions for each analysis report, which enables developers to analyze an audience's behavior features. Audiences can also be used by HUAWEI Push Kit, A/B Testing, and App Messaging for more precise marketing, closing the loop from insight to marketing.
Prediction Service
The keynote speech also saw HUAWEI Analytics Kit's Prediction Service being formally revealed. HUAWEI Prediction Service uses machine learning algorithms to predict which users are likely to be lost, and which are willing to pay, helping product and operations personnel plan activities to prevent user churn and improve payment conversion. Based on the prediction results, product and operations personnel can then use HUAWEI Push Kit, A/B Testing, and App Messaging to run refined operations across multiple scenarios.

According to Qiao Cheng, Now: Meditation has implemented differentiated operations and driven the growth of operation indicators based on user attributes, behaviors, and preferences provided by HUAWEI Analytics Kit. Qiao believed that thanks to HUAWEI Analytics Kit, they will hit a new record this year in terms of user operations.

"Thanks to HUAWEI Analytics Kit's real-time monitoring function, we can now see the number of new users in real time when testing assets, so we can adjust our assets as needed to improve the experience for new users", said Yang. By using the funnel function, Tower Defense Empire's developers could see how many new users they were attracting, observe the conversion status at each stage, and locate issues which were causing churn. They could also save the characteristics of their lost users as an audience for further research. According to Yang, HUAWEI Analytics Kit's filter and comparison analysis also helped them to perform user segmentation analysis and multi-dimensional drill-down analysis, so they could verify each version update.
The team at Tower Defense Empire believes that the analysis and application of data is indispensable to their continuous development. In addition to real-time analysis, funnel analysis, comparison analysis, and user lifecycle analysis, HUAWEI Analytics Kit also supports cross-platform and multi-device analysis, helping developers to focus on user insight and strategy optimization. Developers do not need to spend time on developing analysis systems and processing data, which means they can use this time for other tasks and be more efficient.

up.
2. Then integrate Huawei Ads SDK by following these steps.
3. And you’re done! The Android SDK can now automatically detect if the OAID is available to be used.
Please note, if both GAID and OAID are available on a player’s device, then GAID will be used as a primary device ID, though both will be collected and available in features like the Player Warehouse, Event Export, or Raw Export. With the Apps Up contest in full swing throughout Asia Pacific, Huawei's ecosystem development team joined forces with MAMPU to host a three-day online workshop for Malaysian developers.
The workshop started with an overview of the brand-new open capabilities in HMS Core 6.0, and then moved on to an in-depth analysis of the core features and integration process for HMS Core's ten capabilities, notably Account Kit, Push Kit, Ads Kit, and ML Kit, with regard to development, operations, and monetization.
More than 240 developers participated in the workshop, a marked increase over the previous year. 43% of developers in attendance expressed interest in submitting entries to Apps UP, while 62% of developers indicated that they would like to integrate HMS Core capabilities. This workshop was reviewed favorably by a staggering 90% of attendees.
That level of passion for HMS Core will no doubt continue, as developers were curious to learn more about security-related capabilities and upcoming HMS Core capabilities and tools. Attendees indicated that they were interested in seeing more integration demonstrations and practices, as well as local case studies, at future events.
HMS Core technical experts also participated in a Q&A session on app development and monetization. The HMS Core team will constantly help build a sustainable mobile app ecosystem for Malaysia through capability upgrading, which is attentive to developer needs.
