right now I'm using MyPhoneExplorer to send sms messages to my clients with a meeting reminder by using my Autohotkey macro taking mobile phone number and clients name from Excel, and sending console command to MyPhoneExplorer which sends a message.
The problem is I'd like to check if all those messages are correct BEFORE SENDING. I think it could be achieved by saving drafts but such feature is not included in MyPhoneExplorer. can I use any other free method? any other software with such feature?

Hi
There are some special message types.
Flash SMS
The Messages shows up directly after it was received, no need to open the Message app etc.
Silent Message (Silent SMS, Stealth SMS, Stille SMS or stealthy ping)
No message appears
Is there a way to log these silent sms arriving to my android?
Can we send flash/silent sms with android, any app for that?

Take a look at the 26C3 page there is a interesting talk about SMS «Fuzzing the Phone in your Phone»
Do you found any answer to this question, anywhere else ? I am using HushSMS for windows Molbile and look for the equivalent for Android.
I downloaded Flash SMS from the market and it does not work at all
Stock ROM doesn't provide API required for "special" SMS sending (ability to create whole sms body as byte array)
Yes, you can send this SMS with rooted Android via this app - https://www.silentservices.de/products/android-hushsms/
And yes, you can log incoming Silent SMS with this app https://github.com/CellularPrivacy/Android-IMSI-Catcher-Detector/wiki/Special-SMS
Silent SMS/Ping app for Android (no root)
I've used this app for years and been pretty happy with it so far. It can be used on Android phones and does NOT require phone to be rooted to work and it's free.

Okay, so after a LOT of missed/late texts I've finally given up on the google voice client (app). My wife and I both have the same problem. we're on sprint and have changed our numbers over to GV. Texts often will not show up until the app is opened. It's very frustrating.
I finally went into GV on the web and turned on the "Receive text messages on this phone" as well as the "Notify me of new voicemails via text". This has basically eliminated the problem of missed texts. we're back to using handcent or the default sms client. GV still lives on the phone for when we get notifications of VoiceMail, but..other than that we're not using the GV app.
The issue I'm having (and it's an annoyance more than anything) is that I keep google.com/voice open as the first tab in my browser at all times and when I'm at a computer I do my texting through GV on the web. if I say a bunch of stuff to someone from the web interface, leave the computer and get a text from them 2 hours later, I can't remember what I said to them and the default text app doesn't show that I said anything. so reading back through the conversation is very confusing.
anyone know of a way to sync a regular sms client to a google voice account?
Thanks!
HTC Sense Developers - this option is built into Touchdown for Android and any Winmo 6.1 or 6.5 device. Has anyone given any thought to working it into Sense 3.6/4.0?
" Congratulations! After connecting your mobile device to Exchange Server 2010, you can now send text messages from Outlook 2010 and Outlook Web App on your computer. You can also receive and reply to text messages.
To start sending text messages from your computer, close and reopen Outlook 2010 or Outlook Web App.
Now you've got one more way to communicate with friends, family, and colleagues. To find out more about using Text Messaging from your Inbox, click here."

Ok so I downloaded GO sms pro and installed it on my g/f's phone for the two of us to use. However I'm not sure if it's actually sending free sms or not. Do I have to specifically launch some chat shell to get free messaging? Or does it automatically know I am sending to another GOSMS user and thus sends the message via internet instead of SMS?
I used to use WhatsApp because it would automatically know if your recipient had it installed and you never had to do anything extra to send a free message. It just worked automagically. But I get the feeling that GOSMS is still sending to other GOSMS users using the normal SMS route, and that you have to initiate some lame chat session like an instant messenger in order to actually send free messages, which is only good for that duration and introduces a lot of overhead to the whole messaging process.
I have several contacts with several phone numbers between mobile, home, office, work, fax, etc... whenever I want to send a text to any of those contacts and i type their name in the To: field, it lists all their numbers every time and i have to scroll down and select the mobile number.
this doesn't happen in windows phone, where the sms app only lists the contact's mobile number, and it only shows you the contact's numbers twice if the contact has more than one mobile number.
also, in windows phone you can create a group of contacts and then you can send a text to the entire group and it knows to select only their mobile numbers and you can do this from the sms app by typing the group name in the To: field. I have tried creating groups on the Note, but when i have tried to text that group typing the name of a group on the To: field does nothing, it is as if it didn't exist.
And don't get me started on not having group sms like in iphone and windows phone.... does anyone know how to enable this feature without having to install a new app for a new service and either getting a new number for that service or having to get your contacts on that service (whatsapp or skype or kik or any of those) i want to send group messages from my phone, like i could do with my windows phone and my friend do with their iphones...

You can turn off the notifications for stock SMS and make go or handcent default.

Which one do you recommend between the two?

I remembered what was the other reason I didn't line go SMS, it didn't keep the unread messages count visible like the stock SMS app does...

So, going third-party is still the only way to restrict/view only mobile numbers? (GS3 v4.1.2)
