Is it worth it? - Realme X3 SuperZoom Questions & Answers

My carrier has this device since yesterday/today and I'm thinking about it. Dunno if I take, but I have a question - is it worth it?
Don't know which version there is - they say 12/128, but I see that there are only 8/128 and 12/256. I would take only the latter.
Adiitional question: Anyone knows if there is some work to bring recovery to this device?

So I can answer my own question. After two days of use (I know, not to much time, but...) I can say it IS worth it.

What about now?

Can say that for my needs it's amazing. However it doesn't have one thing I always "dreamed" of - pen.
That's why I sold it and got note 10+.
However if you can get X3 as 12/256 for ~1500 PLN (~370$, ~300€) its great choice to say least think about it. Amazon, DE/FR/IT one at least, had this model with this price once a month or something. Few Polish stores got similar one once a while too

Buying a used SGS2

Hello
I think I will buy a used SGS2. I can get one real cheap but is 6 month old, so I'm wondering if it would be better to get a newer one?
Are there hardware issues with the first models that has been fixed on the later ones?
What about the screen? Would it be dimmer on the old one? Any other things I should be aware of?
Thanks in advance

well, depends on how much your saving, although my device is 6 months old, since ive had a screen protector and a case on it since day 1, its in literally brand new condition, and no, my screen hasnt faded, and nothing creaks or squeaks. it is a really well built device and as long as your saving enough money i'd say go for it. especially if it comes with the box+accessories. But if your only saving say $50, i'd just spring for the extra money and get the new one. As long as it was taken care of you should be okay.
I save about $100, so I think I will go for it! Thanks

[Q] ZU Owners - good value at £250?

So I tragically lost my dear M7 One. I'm scouting around for a replacement, and I realize these can be had for like £250, which is so much cheaper than anything else from 2013 (heck, it's cheaper than some 2012 flagships). I'm guessing Sony just made way too many and can't sell them but - is this a good buy? At that price, it seems excellent (apart from the terrible camera, I can live with that).
As a bonus question - easy to unlock/flash CM onto? And the CM11 monthlies are now all good? Thanks all

One thing for sure, once you go big it will be hard to return to small screen. and yeah that is pretty much a bargain if you can get one. So much power for such a small price. The only consideration might be to keep it alive after 2 years i.e. While battery spare part last.
To be honest, stock Sony ROM is still better than pure AOSP. Not that pure one isn't good but just lack all the subtle feature that Sony managed to inject without overflowing the UI.

Absolutely. I paid around $1000 when it got released, and I ain't even mad. Worth it then, and absolutely worth the 250 now.
Hmm, I'm feeling more and more sold on this. You'd definitely recommend leaving the stock on over CM? I'm not a heavy enough user of CM to absolutely require it, just preferred it over overly-skinned carrier roms.

Got one last week for £250 and it's well worth it. My only fear is that I'll never be able to use a smaller phone again.
I've usually got a custom rom on my phone the day I receive it but have stuck with stock as it's so good.
My only disappointment was I received an invite for a oneplus one for £269 two days after I received this, but have convinced my partner to buy it.
Go on buy it, you won't regret it!

Well...there is one rom that popped up here at the forum a few weeks ago. Candy rom. This is the only DAMN ****ING awesome rom that I have ever flashed on this device that really blew my mind away! This rom is the definition to perfect. Just like the Runnemede rom for HTC Desire back in the days.
Here's the link

I'm not making commercial for Candyrom but this rom just blew my mind away..
Oh btw... I have had my device for about a year now. And it feels like its still brand new Its well worth the manaay!
Yep I would do it still, as lordmanhattan said we paid a good chunk of dosh (no I won't tell SWMBO the current prices). I paid ~$900 for my first one and the the second I got for ~$400 second hand, they can be had new for about that now.

Grabbing a not booting Nexus 10

Hi, i always wanted to have a Nexus 10, i really loved this tablet when it was announced but i never bought it because it was too expensive for me. Now i wanted do buy one, i found some great offers for 80-95 euros and i'm thinking on buying one.
Yesterday i fond somebody selling its nexus 10 that does turn off after the google logo for 25 euros including shipping. Do you think i should give it a try? I'm familiar with rooting, unlocking, flashing and so on so that is not a problem. But do you think it can be saved somehow?
Thanks!

Here is someone with the same issue: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-10/general/boot-recovery-adb-t3693280
If it doesn't go into recovery keep your money is my advise.

hmm, the problem is i don't have the tablet so i can't check. I will ask the seller but if he understands what i want to do (he is selling it for spare parts) he'll probably change the price

Depends on the cost of a working Nexus 10 motherboard. Generally, swapping the motherboard fixes those types of issues, but might not be cost effective. You also have to be comfortable doing such an operation.

I would not buy it again.
ColorOS is really bad.
You can't have more than 5 apps starting up.
ColorOS disables apps.
Support is really bad.
There is no other rom to to put on
The phone it's self is great, but that's where the good things about it end.

i think it's worth to buy it, the kernel source code just released and it's gonna be custom development in near time.
I Stongly advise against it (take notice) they are charging £799, I paid £500 ok it was the chinese version. However ColorOS is painfully bad, development despite the kernel source being available will be non existent, as the bootloader needs unlocked, this as yet can't be done without the deep test which is impossible.
It's by design one of the best I have owned, but I sold and bought the Vivo Nex S, which is way better and again only paid £500.
Don't say you weren't warned ......buy at your own risk and at £799 well that's quite the risk...
Have fun......

Thank you, your input is quite insightful.
Not to mention you may have saved me money, good'o
I have the international version and my previous phone was a iPhone. I am not into development so the issues that some raise do not concern me. I am even too scared to change my theme to the ones advertised on this forum as I might mess something up. For me the phone is great, it ticks all the boxes and looks amazing. The only gripe I have is that on the international version which I own the theme store is not enabled. Hopefully they will enable it soon. I also like that not many have it, so it's unique, but that is also a bad thing as the aftermarket support as far as repairs and cases excreta are very limited. Would I buy again? Yes.
I have the UK version (my third FX) and can confirm it still has all the notification issues as usual.
Hi, anyone from UK. If you see this. DON'T BUY ANY PHONE FROM OPPO.

Question Find N shipping to UK, is it worth it?

Very interested in buying the Find N, either through Giztop or WondaMobile, (shipped to UK) just wondering if those who've done the same would recommend doing it?
My main concerns are security and reliability, of the device and the store itself (after all it's A LOT of money to hand over)
Also, I know it's not going to be 'out of the box ready', so what issues would i be expecting and what are the must-do's when setting up to make sure everything works?
Advice appreciated
I used Giztop. I love my Find N. But there are lots of China-centric issues you can find on this forum...
the 512gb version has recently dropped a lot in price, taken on Wonda, I can't wait!
Cheers for heads up. Let me know how it goes!

Did you get any customs fees from Giztop? What shipping method did you use? Thank you

Oh that's good to know.
By the fastest option do you mean the "Express $29.99 (8-15 days) ? I assume your experience is post Brexit right lol ?
Yeh I believe so.
I might consider selling mine though... If you are interested?
