Hi,
I'm new on the forum and I hope I'm writing in the right section.
I'm going to be a new android user as well because my Lenovo Lephone is coming end of this week?
Unfortunately there is no section for it because I guess it is only available in China.
The phone is already rooted: XXX://androidforums.com/all-things-root-lephone/102624-root.html (I'm not permitted to link)
There are some neg points:
- the market is not installed
- there is no custom rom
I'm not at all a programmer or something close but I'm ready to learn, to try and to get my hands dirty. I will just need some paths and answers.
My questions:
- Is it very difficult to create (or adapt) a custom rom to a android-phone when it is rooted? What should I do?
- Is it possible to install the market to the initial rom? Or should I flash it? Should I add it to the initial rom when it is extracted.
- Does this tutorial to extract the rom work for any android phone? ([TUTORIAL] How to unpack Android ROMs on Windows)
Thanks in advance for replying,
Best regards

Hey, I'm not new to the forums as I usually follow posts instead of posting. But I've had my Note 5 for quite some time now and I want to flash a Custom ROM onto it. I haven't flashed a ROM since I owned my Note 2. I have it successfully rooted just wanted to know if there is a guide that I can read up in cause flashing now seems a little more difficult. As I tried flashing one before and it didn't work. Any help or guidance to a walkthrough would be greatly appreciated Thanks
Hi
I searched again and again from google every time I go to 10 pages in the google search without any good answer for this question. in the XDA forums, this question is asked more than 5 times without any answer.
Why don't see any correct guide for this question in XDA and on the internet?
Is this answer Monopoly from experienced developers? and they don't want to reach this guide to the beginners and normal android users hand?
Most XDA users can pack and repack system.img files. But the huge problem is that how can to flash the repacked system.img by Odin with root or without root.?
Please guide me how can do this or any explanation to me and to other users until I get the good answer for my question because every day I search for it without any solution.
Is this is need create Own ROM on Linux until I can do this?
Is repacked system.img from stock ROM can flash by Odin without creating custom ROM?
Please help me
When i try to flash repacked system.img by Odin show me Fail
So I just inherited a J1 Prime Mini 2017 model (SM-J106B), previous owner finally decided he has had enough with very limiting storage and upgraded to a Xiaomi RedMi 8. Any chance of porting Android Go to this device? I'm willing to try doing it myself in my free time, but I have no idea where to start - while I have been messing with Windows Mobile images back in the days, I've lost touch of my inner programmer and I can't work out head or tail on how to start with custom Android images. Due to the sorry size of the storage (~8GB), I'd like a firmware without all the bloat and contains just the barebones Google Go stuff.
@blakegriplingph any advice?
Has Samsung released the source tarball to this device? Also, is there a TWRP for this?
There is a sub-section on XDA found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/galaxy-j1-mini I looked it has a TWRP version etc
Necroing because I need space on the device more than ever.

Well, I see that the thread has been moved to the right forum. I see that there's a TWRP for it, but how do I go from here? How do I get an image of the flash on the phone, replace the stuff, and put it back? Sorry for sounding like a noob but as I said I've lost touch with my inner programmer and am having trouble digesting all the info.

TWRP needs to be flashed onto your device using Odin. But you can find that also in this sub-forum.

This link is for SM-J105H is it compatible with SM-J106H ?
I recently bought this device and due to the seller's fault, did not send me the global ROM it came with a ROM for Russia, Poland, and other regions.
I'm from Brazil and my language is Brazilian Portuguese.
I have no experience with ROM manipulation. I have read tutorials e researched about it, but I still don't feel safe, and hope some good soul can help me. I'm afraid of bricking or damaging my device.
I downloaded SP Flash Tool v.6.2216 (latest version), the drivers, and a ROM of this
website: "https://androidmtk.com/download-infinix-stock-rom" . I don't know if this Stock ROM is a global version and I don't know how to know either.
This version of SP Flash Tool is different from the tutorial that is attached to the page and the versions below this one say that they do not support X67 processors.
The only thing I want is to be able to install my language on my phone.
Is there any risk of damaging it?
Installing this ROM would bring the result I expect?

I apologize for the inappropriate location, I didn't mean to.
I don't speak English and I use a translator for communication and some things go unnoticed.
Thanks for the correction.

1)download the firmware for the device
2) and magisk
3) install magisk to device
4) you get the boot.img file from the firmware archive
5) patch the boot file via magisk
6) you are doing an oem unlock bootloader (for all mtk can be found on the Internet)
(your data will be completely lost, so we make backups)
7)
Code:
fastboot flash <your magisk boot patches file .img> boot_a
fastboot flash <your magisk boot patches file .img> boot_a
fastboot reboot recovery
8) wipe data -> yes
9) aaaand reboot
Profit
Hello,
Thanks a lot for your reply. Really Appreciate it.
I had already unlocked my bootloader. The Firmware build I was having on my phone was not available on internet, Couldn't find it on official website.
I tried all kind of softwares like Droid root tools etc but they couldn't detect my device fully so I could extract boot.img file and also backup my firmware.
After lot of Struggle I finally found someone on fiverr who helped me in Rooting the device.
Thanks a lot Again for taking time to reply.
This will help me in future and others too.
Best Wishes
XOS 13 EU ROM
Ported from the Infinix NOTE 30 Pro,
the NOTE 12 PRO probably won't get XOS13.
It works without any problems
I removed the bloatware from the firmware
