Should I stick with my Note 10+ or get the Note 20?
I am worried about the 128Gb of storage on the Note 20!
I have a 10+. I'm happily upgrading. There's some game changers on the 20 Ultra. 120Hz, 5G internet, and the camera upgrade are my 3 biggies. Not to mention all the cool software improvements! I am very excited.

Yeah, the NOTE 20 sounds like its a step backward. Sure it's got the newer processor and camera setup, but isn't that about it? Almost everything else the 10+ does better.
If you mean Note20 (and not the Ultra), then I'd stick with the 10+. The successor to the 10+ is the 20 Ultra, so that's the fair comparison. And in that case... Go 20 Ultra if you can swing it! Pre-order deals are nice. And 10+ still has great resale value (I just sold mine for $680 on Swappa - sold in less than 24 hours).

I just sold my note for 300 and got a Nexus 4 with it. It was fun guys I even pre ordered the Note. Maybe I'll get a Note 3-6 in the future?
I'm planning on selling my DNA (with a Nokia wireless charger) and Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet around the time the Note 3 is released. The Note 3 will essentially be a faster, higher resolution, and more portable (albeit smaller) version of the Note 10.1, which I love. I also have a DNA, which is the main reason I'm here.
My DNA has a few small scratches at the top of the screen over the verizon logo (not part of the actual screen) and a very small knick on the bottom left edge of phone which isn't very noticeable at all. I don't have any pictures of my phone to show, but you can trust that my description is accurate as I'm trying to accurately gauge what I can get out of the phone money-wise. Other than what's previously mentioned, the phone is in perfect condition. Runs well, very smooth, etc etc. Assuming I maintain the phone until September/October, how much can I expect to get out of it? I've seen listings on Ebay for around $325-$400 used, and I expect I can get just a little bit more by including the charger.
I'm curious to know if time was anything to do with the resale value. Will I be able to get the same $325-$400 out of it if I keep using it for about 4 months longer? I've had it since Christmas, so I'd have been using it for about 9 months. I assume the value would drop a little bit, but I'm not sure how much.
Thanks in advance for the help, I appreciate it!
I'm sure with the introduction of new devices like Galaxy s4 an HTC One or the Note 3 will most definitely lower your resale value on your device to the low end of things.
Its pretty much how it works with electronics they get obsolete really quick.

I also look at these things. I've been doing it for 6 years. I try to buy and sell during the smallest drop where the phone is still relevant. I find that to be buying at 400-450 and selling at 250-300. Usually i buy around 4-6 months after a phone comes out and sell it after owning for just less than a year. The DNA dropped in price quick. I was able to grab it just after 3 months for $375, i expect to see $300 around August when i will probably get the S4.
with that said, Verizon and sprint lose value much quicker because of the lack of true GSM, though sprint is worse by far. I am predicting this phone to be around 325 come august and 275 by christmas. then it will stabilize at 200-250 for another year. We are in the quick downfall period for the phone. Also Brands matter. I've found Samsung galaxy to be the best retainer followed by HTC, then Moto and LG.
here's how it usually flows.
A typical new phone that retails for $650
First 3 months Loss of < 150(500)
Next 3 months Loss of <100 (400)
next 3 months loss of <75 (325)
next 3 months loss of <75(250)
next 12 months loss of <50 (200)
I'll second the $300 estimate for late summer. It's a decent time to sell as the pre Christmas phones haven't been announced yet. Once that happens the value will go into the $hitter.

The Note 2 is retailing around $700 online at Verizon right now, so I think it'd be safe to assume the Note 3 will be around $750-$800 when it's first released? And how long would it be until I could probably buy a Note 3 off amazon or ebay at a slightly lower price? Thanks for the replies guys, I appreciate it.

The Note2 price on Verizon did not hold up very well. I think the big size eventually turns off users who really were not expecting that which creates a larger than average resale market. When i bought my DNA back in March, there were NOTE2 going straight up for trades with the DNA which you could easily have gotten for $375-$400. Both devices came out in November but the Note 2 retailed much higer at $700. That's a $300 drop in 4 months. If i was in the market for a Note, i'd wait 4 months. It dropped about a hundred a month those 1st 4 months and since has stabilized and even gone up a little.

I probably would just because I like having a cell connection on my tablet. That's the main reason I kept my 4G Xoom even after I bought a Nexus 10. I realize I could tether a WiFi device to my phone at will, but my problems are:
a) It's a pain to constantly turn it on and off all the time.
b) A phone antenna isn't nearly as big as a tablet antenna, so a tablet will pick up a much stronger signal than a phone will when you're out and about.
c) When I do tether, I always forget about it and leave it on when I don't need it, then I go to check my phone after 2 hours and find an almost-dead battery.
With the Verizon "share everything" plans, adding a tablet to my existing data plan costs me $10/mo, which is chump change. I'd replace my 4G Xoom and WiFi Nexus 10 with one LTE Nexus 10 in a heartbeat if I could.
i probably would like also but if its the case of a new nexus 10 with LTE it will probably cost big money extra and this its not justify ... only if they bring something new to the hardware more in the same package maybe.
1 - lower the price of original nexus 10
2 - put LTE on a new nexus 10 at the curent price
3 - put 4gb ram and 64gb on the new nexus 10 .
4 - i will buy

Why not just enable tethering on your phone and connect the tablet to it like the phone was any other wifi network.
And no I wouldnt buy it.

Because some of us (like me) find that to be a pain in the @$$. Plus, tablets have much better antennas than phones do, and thus can pull a stronger signal down in weaker areas. I can't tell you how many times my Galaxy Nexus will have 1 bar of service and my Xoom will have 3 or 4. Makes a difference in speed. Plus, WiFi tethering kills a phone's battery, especially you're like me and forget to turn it off. I'll go to check my phone 2 hours later and see an almost dead battery.
Plus, for myself, it's nice to be able to turn the wifi hotspot on on my tablet, throw it my glove compartment on a long trip and have an LTE hotspot in the car. That big tablet battery will last all day as an LTE hotspot.
NOPE. Not unless it had a significant change in processor. Say what you will about how GREAT this Exynos 5 Dualcore is on PAPER, but it still underperforms against the Exynos 4412 quadcore in the Note 10.1 & Note 8.0. So, if it had the Exynos 5 Octacore, or the Tegra 4, then I would consider it, but not with the same hardware, which struggles with some apps on the high resolution display + an added radio LTE stack...No thank you.

Fair points. I haven't seen benchmarks but it would make sense that Samsung would want the Note 10.1 and Note 8.0 to outperform the Nexus 10 considering they're much higher in price. I personally have no speed issues with my Nexus 10, but your point about powering an LTE radio is well taken.
Any LTE N10 would probably have a new processor anyway since, if I understand the underlying tech correctly, Exynos can only handle dualband LTE. I believe that's why the Galaxy S4 LTE variants in the US all use Snapdragon processors rather than Exynos. The only LTE variant I can think of that use Exynos processors is the South Korea variant, and that's dualband.
The N10 doesn't sell well enough for Google to even consider a LTE model.

I'm starting to think Google doesn't want their devices to sell. One of the biggest oversights is the absolute lack of availability of the cheaper models in stores. You can only get the 16GB on the play store. Why the hell would they do this? Do they really think someone considering an iPad would jump on the unproven Nexus 10 at the same price point? You want to move units, Google? Start stocking this thing in retail locations like Best Buy and Target.
It's ridiculous and embarrassing.

Well it worked for the Nexus 7. The 8 GB model was never available at retail (that I'm aware of, anyway). It still sold like hotcakes.

There was also a lot more buzz about it since it was so cheap. Even at 250 it was a bargain. The 10 is in competition with the iPad. The 7 arguably had no rival at that price point with the features it came with.

No, but when someone is considering a $499 iPad, they're also looking across the shelf at the $499 Nexus 10. Wouldn't it be a little more enticing to see the $399 Nexus 10 as well?

No I dont think it matters in the slightest. If someone is at walmart and is browsing for a tablet they wont care about either one because they obviously dont know a single thing about either and will buy the $149 tablet. Someone who does know already knows which they want.
No more Nexus devices for me for awhile after this tablet. Just sold my Nexus 10 and am waiting on the new iPad. Don't miss it in the slightest frankly.

True, but supposedly the new Exynos 5 will support 23 different LTE bands. This is the Octa-core I am talking about. That would be pretty great, nearly a world LTE device. About time if you ask me. Even the Dev One & S4 will support multiple LTE bands. Next we just need that Samsung 5G with 100+Gbps down speed (so you can burn through your 3Gb data plan in 3 hundredths of a second) & simultaneous dual band wireless-ac/n.

let me tell you something
1$= 18 egypt pound
so to replace screen costs 750 pound
and redmi note 2 costs 1800 pound
https://www.jumia.com.eg/redmi-note-2-5.5-4g-dual-sim-mobile-phone-dark-grey-xiaomi-mpg15139.html
and redmi note 3 costs 3000
https://www.jumia.com.eg/xiaomi-red...obile-phone-silver-free-earphones-613877.html
so why choose redmi note 3
It's not worth it. Go buy Redmi Note 3 with Snapdragon CPU. I'm from Poland and Redmi Note 3 pro price is same as Redmi Note 2 price.
I would go for the RedMi 4 Pro (not Note).
It's a never device, it still has a display bigger then your current phone, has a Qualcomm SOC and it should cost just a little more.
You have also to consider the fact that MediaTek doesn't give many updates of Android version for a SOC, just one if you are lucky, and even if they do, XiaoMi doesn't.
It also have a bigger battery, RN2 has a big problem with that.
dude, don't buy this phone, i tell you why
1. this phone has baaaaad so bad battery life
2. the build quallity is so below average
3. it's really get "too" hot
it may cheap , and has high price to permorance ratio, but it's not worth it, there is still better alternative
(sorry bad english):good::good::good::good:
I wouldn'T buy it either. Bad battery, bad customer support and xiaomi releases new phones every two weeks or something. If you can get the RN2 for 30$ ok, but if it's 100$ then you can getter phones for just 20$ more or sth

I didn't know that it's so big difference in price in egypt, becouse here in serbia difference is about 10€. Honeslty phone isn't so bad, it's ok for it's price, xiaomi doesn't have best costumer suport, but what company has. It has nice screen, ok battery life, solid number of custom roms, camera is decent. I can only say it's not flagship killer but in range of low budget phones is one of best.
Yes its worth as a temporary replacement.im using it since 4 days and on a user experience basis its much better than on my g4. everything is smooth.cons are only the camera and battery as compared to a s5 or lg g4.btw my g4 has been sent for repair n i dont know whether it will be back alive!it got the bootloop problem after only 10 month usage.
Sold my Note 9 last night for the equivalent of 640 USD in my local currency. The retail price of the S10+ is 995 USD, but there's a pre-order cashback for about 70 USD, and the free Galaxy Watch (not Active, just a 42mm Watch) will help cover the difference. Never really cared much for the S Pen anyway; bought the Note 9 because of the massive battery and it was starting to disapppoint in that regard. Until the S10+ comes, I'll be back to my S7 (flat). Anyone else upgrading from the Note 9 to the S10+?
I also traded in my Note 9 EXynos for the S10+ 128gb Blue Unlocked Snapdragon! I never used the spen... ??

I can tell from your username lol.
Seems like an unnatural upgrade path unless you didn't rely on the S Pen. But then that raises the question, why buy a Note at all? I'm trading my Note 8 and plan on selling the S10 (waiting for N10). In the meantime I'll try to find a cheap N4 to sketch on.
Doing the dame thing here. Pre booked the 128/8Gb Prism White.
Preordered the s10 128gb version. As i live in Australia, I'll be getting the exynos variant.
For preordering, samsung is throwing galaxy buds on top for free - not bad at all.
Im interested to see how the snapdragon and the exynos versions compare in terms of performance. Will be upgrading from an A5 2017 which i have been barley using a year
trading in my note 9 for the s10+ white ceramic. I always wanted and liked the s pen but i still hardly use it. Bought the 10+ from samsung, unlocked. I was gonna give my note 9 to my gf but she's tired of the hand me downs ?. Maybe I'll get her the note 10
Doing the same with my note 9 for the plus will probably get the note 10 as well

Me too!
I just sold my note 9 to pick up the s10. I wanted a slightly less wide phone and barely used the s-pen. The S10 feels just right! I hope the battery is the same or better.
Same here. Leaving my note 9 to s10+.
I love the note serie. But the s10+ is a good compromise between note and galaxy serie. Plus the battery is massive and hopefully it feels this way.
I gave my two months old Note 9 to my younger brother and bought a new S10+ in blue I have to rock the S8 now and trade it in later
Same deal here. Sold my Note 9 and pre ordered the S10 plus 1TB in ceramic black.
Note 9 prices are in the toilet.
I ordered the S10 plus but am also keeping my copper Note 9...no way Im getting rid of this beauty!
Keeping my T-Mobile Note 9 but I'm gonna be using my S10E until I buy an Exynos Note 10 sometimes around February next year when prices will be right. I can't do this unlockable Samsung phone anymore since Google killed call recording. I can still do it on my Oreo Note 9 (not updating it anymore) and I still have my rooted One Plus 6T so call recording is still in my hands when I need it.
Reason I ordered the 10E is because of how great it felt in the hand when I was testing out the display unit at Best Buy last week. Just going to be nice to use a smaller phone like that for a while and get used to the new UI stuff, that great new camera stuff and the awesome new display tech.
The S-Pen is the main reason why I've been a Note user literally since the AT&T Note 1, so that's why I'm keeping the Note 9 around in case I get the itch to use it again. Plus, I have my Tab S4 which also has its own S-Pen.
I traded my Note 9 for the S10+. I'll probably still buy the Galaxy Note 10 too!
I am trading in my note 8 for the plus, but I will always love the note series. I suspect I will be just as anxious to get the note 10 when it's announced and will probably give the wife the 10+ at that point and go back to the note series. You all know the note 10 is gonna be amazeballs
