Hi I'm an android developer, and just this week the new Google Tv Addon was released, so I started looking into it.
I found the Documentation horrible, I couldn't find any example, as a matter of fact the only code I found was a query for the Channel Listing ContentProvider.
So first, if some of you have already started developing for Google TV, could you share any valuable Examples or Info so we could all benefit
Second, I'm particularly interested on using something like Picture in Picture (PiP), to have my application maximized and Live TV on a small floating window; or having an app widget hovering or to the side of the Live TV app, does anyone know how to do any of these??
I have a Shield console and it is not supported yet.. Could someone share the apk so I may see if it works on the Shield?

I was hoping that there was maybe a different version that would download to the Nexus Player... The latest version says varies with device, so I thought that there may be a special version only for the compatible Android TV devices.

just link your Disney account with your Google account and all your movies will show in the Google Play Movies library.
Does anyone have the apk which is for Android TV devices?
This APK is a modified version of the Vimeo app on the Fire TV. It works perfectly on Android TV devices, it just lacked Android TV launcher compatibility.
I've added that compatibility in, and a banner image for the launcher, in, so that it works seamlessly without having to go into the sideload launcher.

Thanks for your effort. Vimeo just officially added support for Android TV in their latest beta.
- Just join the beta for Vimeo.
- Go to the Vimeo play store listing in a browser (not the play store app). It should say the app name is "Vimeo (Beta)". Click the "Install" or "Installed" button. This should give you the option to choose which device to download the app on.
- Pick your Android TV device from the list
- It should show up on your Android TV within 5 minutes

I have a Sony Bravia Android TV and figured my query would apply to the Shield too (and couldn't find a Bravia forum).
I have an old PVR which is very unreliable now and was going to replace it but then thought with the availability of catch-up apps that maybe PVRs are a little redundant now.
Has anyone seen an android app that acts like a pvr letting you create a planner but instead of recording the video it then links to the appropriate app (iplayer, 4oD etc)?
