Sorry, but we don't do that. Feel free to just flash a build to find out what we're all about. If you don't want to do that, that's ok too.

Just flashed the rom, it's quite smooth and sleak. The rom is very light and non-laggy as of now. Looking forward to more features and sticking to the ROM. Keep up the good work!
Camera not provided?
Flashed today. Works, no issues detected. Does this ROM not provide the camera? Or It may be caused by mistake during installation?

All DU builds ship w/ gapps preloaded. As for camera, use whatever works best for you.
Thank you for awesome ROM.
It is very smooth and made my Potter phone faster than pixel experience ROM.
Few minor issue I've noticed:
After installing via TWRP, the very first reboot is stuck on the DU logo and does not proceed no matter how long you let it sit.
I had to restart the phone by pressing the power button for about 10 seconds, and on that reboot, phone was able to boot.
On another occasion, attempted to restart the phone through the ROM and it was stuck on the DU logo once again and had to use the power button long press to trigger a restart and then it was able to go.
Notifications do not show up on the very top of the screen, for example even though Bluetooth and other icons are enabled in DU extras, they do not show up (usually they show up where the battery information and Tower signals are located).
searched camera on the Play Store and was able to install a Google camera, older version

No reboot problems here.
Been testing this rom from today morning, the only thing which i noticed broken was when charging phone while it is switched off, there is no animation or charging text or anything, only the backlight flashed and the screen was empty and else the rom is good, would appreciate a few things but not necessary-
A gaming mode which shuts the heads up notification and mutes the device or a quick setting for toggling heads up notification on and off.

I had that same problem on boot after installing.
I'm also noticing that the screen doesn't seem to ever turn off. It's black but still illuminated, which is going to kill my battery FAST.

If you go to "Settings" > "Display" > "Lock screen display" there is an "always on" switch in the "Ambient Display" section. Turning that off should allow the screen to switch off fully
Not sure what i did wrong, everything boot up but i have no LTE even tho the QT says mobile data LTE
i wiped everything
i flashed DU from server using TWRP 3.4.0.0
please help

Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or the LAOS team will if it concerns their code base. This rom isn't LAOS supported, so no need to report errors/bugs to them!!

FAQ:]
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. Xposed is not yet available for Oreo.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. How do I enable software buttons?
A. Go to Aicp Extras/Navigation bar, and enable it.
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I keep losing root with Magisk, how do I fix it?
A. Check this out. If that doesn't work for you, ask for help in this thread, read or ask in the Magisk thread on XDA or just re-flash Magisk!
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the root section in the AICP Extras menu.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Oreo. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash:(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
7. Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update) as long as the instructions of your
root solution do not state something else (="persistence on dirty flashing") !
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk v14.0
KERNEL:
The kernel in this ROM follows LAOS source with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash using the built-in OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use the LAOS recovery and OTA app, but you will need to download the zip file and flash it manually from within your recovery. The Zipfile gets saved in the "aicp_ota" folder on your internal storage.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery. Keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!

I applied the commits to this rom
Ok, I know this construction and the official version 12.1 tested, but uninstalled because it has too much background noise during calls, it seems as if the people I call are all in the middle of the road with intense traffic.
I've read that you've provided a new kernel for your product and I want to hope that there's no background noise here, so I'm going to try Oreo for the first time.
I'm on rom stock with only root permissions, if you explain the correct steps to install I would give it a try. I know it's written to do a clean installation, but I've read that it needs to be formatted so as not to run into encryption problems. I already have TWRP 3.2.2.0 installed, I wait for news and thank you for your efforts, I will be very happy to donate to support the project.
Hello,

Hi I face this bug too , on network just click skip !
Very good ROM, as always. Some issues with setting up the "Let's go" part, with crashes... but I got there eventually and no problems.
Looks like it will be my daily ROM with Oreo. Will we get updates as usual? Weekly?
Thanks.

Maybe this is not a bug but is annoying. when i tap home after send a message on facebook or whatsapp the keyboard stays on home screen and i need to tap home again to close the keyboard.
Is unlocking available on ambient display? Using the lineage os rom 8 I have to tap twice to unlock (compared to nougat it was possible to unlock directly from ambient display).

How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, and Data (you might need to format the data partition!).
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Reboot and set up your device, enable developer settings and in them OEM unlock/Advanced reboot/USB tethering.
7. Reboot back into TWRP recovery.
8. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
9. Reboot your device.
The procedure may vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once! This might differ on AvB Devices.
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 17.2 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
TWRP recovery is needed to be able to flash using the built-in OTA app.
Please make sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery, keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.

We need to increase safe battery temperature because quick charging just turns off when it's 36°C.
Second, the main screen is 1 pixel bigger than it should. I mean, the smaller screen have 1 pixel less than it should also. And where the fk are setting to disable fullscreen apps, because apps under camera are weird and why it's not enabled by default. Dev, come on. Great work anyway but you should do something with that screen.
I got near 4h SoT on LTE+60% Bright

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device specific repositories.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out, if it concerns our code base. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look here to see what day your device is built on.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP. Custom ROMs modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROMs. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. Information about Xposed, EdXposed or Riru Core can be obtained from the XPosed General forums .
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, this is the usual behaviour on flashing a new official build by (or using) the build-in updater service.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterwards.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Q. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
Google Playstore to work)
6. Reboot and set up your device
7. Reboot back into TWRP recovery.
8. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
9. Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 20.4 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.

About Us (Quoting the DU Team):
Dirty Unicorns is an AOSP based project built to enhance the stock Android experience.
Our focus has been and is always to contribute back to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do.
We DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We do not believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going comes out of our own pocket. This includes, but is not limited to; Devices, Gerrit, our websites and services, etc.. The only thing that we ask in return is that you have patience, search the thread for answers prior to posting, read diligently, and try to enjoy the process with us!
About This Unofficial Build:
Majority of the credit for this ROM goes to the Dirty Unicorns team.
Since this is an unofficial build, do not expect any support from the DU team.
Builds will follow the official Dirty Unicorn ROM releases
Unless otherwise specified, the features in the ROM will be functionally identical to the official Dirty Unicorns ROM releases. No device specific feature requests will be accepted.
My time is fairly limited, so, while I will respond to posts/PMs, it might occasionally be a few days before I respond.

Works like a charm. ?
When you say flash 'boot.img' I guess you mean boot-du_flame-v14.6-20200808-1751-UNOFFICIAL.img file?
Wow your ROM was so simple to flash and no error unlike other ROM I tried.

Your assumption is correct. Glad you're having a good experience so far! Major props to the DU team for this!
Thanks for porting to flame, you would thinks that XL and normal versions would be the same aside form the scren, however official DU support is non-existent.
Anyway props to to you for bringing us one of the best custom roms out there.
Thanks

Official support does not exist because no DU team membe' has the Pixel 4. DU only supports devices owned by the team because it is a ROM that focuses on quality, and testing on-device is key.
Yes, the two devices are nearly identical and ROMs could theoretically be swapped, but subtle differences like screen and power configs are sufficient reasons to avoid that. Since I personally own a Pixel 4 and I've been building since the start of DU 14 personally, I see no reason to not share what I do with the community. I do test every release, but maybe not as extensively as the DU team because I rely on their great work. As long as I own this device, I will continue to build DU for it.
Thanks buddy that's awesome news.
You could always try and apply for DU team and be the offial maintainer for this device?
Just a thought

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
Mention any and all Magisk modules you might be using along with the Magisk version
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: What do you mean by "Unified" in the thread title?
A: Redmi Note 9S or Indian Redmi Note 9 Pro (curtana) and POCO M2 Pro (gram) are basically the same devices, the only significant difference is the 33W charging support on the POCO M2 Pro. So I have decided to do a single, unified build for supporting both curtana and gram. This thread and the other one on the Redmi Note 9 Pro forums have the same ROM zip linked in the downloads.
Q: Which GApps do I use?
A: Use the "Gapps" variant builds if you need Gapps. They have Gapps pre-included and provide the best Gapps experience.
Q: Do I have to wipe data if coming from another ROM?
A: Yes, I will not be providing help/support to users that haven't wiped data when coming from another ROM.
Q: How often will I be getting updates?
A: The plan is for weeklies, if unavoidable circumstances come up, please don't spam the thread. I will release a build as soon as one is ready.
Q: Is the ROM official?
A: The ROM is Official.
Q: I use Telegram, where can I find help on that platform?
A: Tag me here.
Q: Does SafteyNet pass?
A: Yes, SafetyNet does pass with Magisk Hide enabled.
Q: I'm having high idle drain, please fix.
A: I'll need more data from you to figure it out, Install BetterBatteryStats and let me know about what it tells you after 3-4 charge cycles. Please do not report issues when having apps like Greenify, Naptime, Wakelock blocker, etc.
Wow sir thanks for the ROM, looking forward to it.
thanx for the rom ser
Are all curtana ROMs unified ?. Even though its not mentioned in the titles it should work on gram right. As its the same device.

For some reason it boots but after few seconds.. reboots to recovery. tried several times.
after couple of hours failure.. i tried another rom msmxtended, it is booting fine.
i think something is broken for gram in the aosip image.

I had similar issue. Once it got stuck in bootloop and then it repeatedly booted to fastboot mode. Installed LrTWRP and used the same method and it worked fine
The ROM is Good. Not customisation rich but has all necessary one's. I am yet to comment on BB as it has been just a day. Performance on light games seems smooth.
I faced a bug yesterday where any app that uses microphone would freeze once the mic usage stops. I couldn't find the culprit. But within an hour it got fixed all by itself even without a reboot. Might be some app was malfunctioning and it settled down once I restarted it (as I tried restarting all apps that used mic).

I'm just looking for if there is a custom rom that doesn't limit the notification icons in the status bar? This only happens with miui11. Rest all roms will only show upto 5 icons and after that they will show only dot symbol.
Is the dark mode purely dark or just a shade of dark?
