Hi,so i have had a lot of problems with my moms Nokia 1 since updating it to Android 10. I have managed to solve all issue's except for one. The phone has Google Chrome and it will not update in Google Playstore at all,Android System Webview also wont update. I also cant uninstall Google Chrome either. I have read somewhere online that to do a software repair on the Nokia 1 you need to boot it into recovery mode. In the recovery menu there is apparently a repair option to fix any software issues. I have factory reset the phone twice already,as well as uninstalled updates for Chrome,Android System Webview and even Google Playstore as wek as cleared cache and data for all,but i simply cannot get the Chrome issue fixed.
Can someone please help me with regards as to how i actually get the phone to boot into recovery mode? I really do not know what else to try anymore to fix the issud.
to update android system webview and google chrome use aurora store from fdroid

So I got a kinda bricked fake s4 from a friend to fix, usually it's no problem for me to fixed such things but this is special. When i turn on the phone it displays the message that the launcher stopped working, and system can not repair it. I can not access any settings menu to indirectly access play store to install another launcher, so i was gonna factory reset it through recovery, but the thing is, there is no recovery on this thing,no matter what combo i press, so i searched the web a bit, and found that i can install recovery through download mode and odin. BUT, this thing doesn't even have download mode. Is there anything possible i could do to somehow reset this thing or access play store to install a launcher?
I have a Sony Z3 dual sim (D6633) running stock KitKat, rooted. I am posting here, and not in Sony's forum, as I understand this is a generic issue which can happen to any phone, and is not Z3-specific.
I cannot download anything from the play store; the screen is always stuck at 'download pending'. I had this this morning, and deleted all data (settings -> app for google play services, google play, download manager, and download media). It worked this morning, but now I have the same problem and redoing those steps doesn't help. I do have internet access and have tried connected to 4G and to two separate wifi networks.
I did a factory reset of the phone just yesterday because of this issue + because some process was stuck in a loop and overheated my phone. I wouldn't want to reset the phone every day!
Any suggestions? What causes this and why?
Thanks!
PS Incidentally, this proves we don't need a new smartphone every 6 months - we just need smartphones which work and are stable. But this is not what the industry wants, of course.
Solution kinda....
The issue came across me as well i just installed a custom ROM and the restoring backup was taking place. Google play is reinstalling the apps when suddenly all apps stops at download pending. Well the only solution i found was to factory reset my phone (by facotry reseting i mean wiping all data cache ... EXCEPT for system) then reflashing gapps which worked fine for me. Hope this helps
Troubleshoot on Factory Data Reset "Google Play services keeps stopping" rooted
To Everyone i really need help,
Its been a day since i factory data rest my device using twrp recovery. The main reason on why i did that is that my Play Store keeps crashing. Maybe because i flashed a kernel (init.d) that made it crash and not anymore usable. After the factory reset, its seems normal at first but when i reached the part where it is checking for updates after the finding of wifi, Google play services keeps crashing, this is the first login part just like for newly opened devices. After the chexking of updates my screen goes black with normal buttons and wifi icons on. I tried to reboot several times. I also backed up the system from their and restored it. I dont know if im still rooted that causes the malfunction. My other solution is that to download Gapps which is compatible to my device and flash it. Maybe i broke ky system? Please help me as soon as possible.

Hi All
Hope you can help me as i have not been on here for awhile now. Any way i have unistalled and reinstalled older version of an app which is a workaround for an older android device.
So in other words i have android 7 device and got an app that officially does not support it. Anyhow the older version worked and then started to ask for an update and now it refuses to work due to the stupid update.
I have tried to use the update from third party programmes like aptoide ect but the app crashes constantly.
How do i get rid of this update i have told the playstore not to update anything but it still asks for the update and i have even removed my account so it cant accsess the playstore.
My device is rooted.
Update.
I have even tried to factory reset and still stupid update message.
Hi,so i really hope someone out there can help me please because i dont know what to do anymore. So the problem i am struggling with is as follows.
Nokia 1 updated to Android 10
System-wide dark mode enabled and everything working perfectly excepting for Google Messages which is still white and has no menu option in app to switch themes.
I have factory reset the phone numerous times already
I have cleared cache and data of Google Messages
I have even tried to hide/uninstall for -k with adb and re-install
But absolutely nothing i try is fixing the issue. The Messages app stays white and there is no setting in the app to change the theme. The phone is not rooted so i cannot completely remove the app and then install another version of it to try and fix it. Please can someone tell me how i can get this problem fixed because it is seriously driving me mad.
