I'm trying to load a custom rom but all the ones I've tried so far give either error message 6 or 7. I've tried a few fixes from youtube to no avail. And now the phone won't boot past twrp, any help appreciated. uk.

Heyyo, can you please use TWRP copy log function and then paste the result of the recovery.log found in the root of your user data storage? It's hard to tell what the error exactly is without seeing what the logs say it could be related to

I flashed the stock rom and it now has eui recovery instead of twrp. I tried again to flash the custom rom and eui recovery gave a message that the custom rom file was corrupted. Next step is to put twrp back on then try again.
@andydgg please ensure you're using the latest official TWRP from https://eu.dl.twrp.me/x2/
Installation instructions can be found in my official TWRP for x2 thread here:

Please search on how to install a ROM. If you get to fastboot, then you can run twrp. Wipe your internal storage as your data partition has been encrypted. Then simply install ROM as normal, but if you look around, these answers would be available. Always search first.
!?!? Could you please read the post above yours ?!?
Anyway thank you.

Obviously you have solved your problem and initial post may have not been necessary. I have several devices and they all have some differences, but they are all Android and basically the same. So more often than not, even certain processes, such as ADB, will work. Glad to hear all is well, take care.

If the phone has Indian or Chinese 15s, only TWRP found on Revolution_15s_Pure_Edition topic works. That TWRP is bugged and does not allow sideloading official 15s ROMs
In this case, sideload the Revolution_15s_Pure_Edition as per Original Poster's comment and copy the official 15s ROM zip to the root of SDCard using Windows Explorer. Boot again into TWRP and install that zip from there.
To use CM13 ROM by TeamSpain, download 14s Chinese ROM and install it. Then it allows to install the CM13 ROM's TWRP. Revolution_15s_Pure_Edition topic's TWRP installs CM13 ROM but the phone fails to boot.
Apparently, TWRP needs an update to work correctly with 15s ROMS.

Downgrade to B340 as it is known (from what I read) that no custom rom can be installed on B360.

I just rooted my phone lenovo k4 note using golden twrp and flashed resurrection remix with open gapps. Unfortunately the gapps zip file was corrupted and I wasn't able to fix that.
So I booted my phone to the new os , took the new feeling but later realised the gapps are mandatory.
So I downloaded a new file and tried to go to twrp recovery mode. But I wasn't able to. I thought the bootloader must've locked itself up so I unlocked it again, flashed the twrp recovery IMG file with adb and booted my phone to recovery. But still twrp didn't start.
BUT THEN I SAW THAT I HAD NO INTERNAL STORAGE
Just the SD card
Later I was able to wipe the custom rom from twrp and I flashed the resurrection remix and gapps.
Still internal storage was missing. Can anybody help me please?

Try flashing the stock ROM, see if your storage reappears on your stock ROM.
Also, do you get any information about your internal storage in Settings>Storage on your current ROM?
I don't know if it will help, but in TWRP recovery, go in Advanced>Fix permission
I feel like the OS doesn't have permission to internal storage, in the best case it will fix your issue in the worst case it will do nothing
But safest and easiest way to fix those kinds of issues is to wipe every thing and flash official ROM

Settings>Storage just shows the is size that's is roughly around 7gb
It says 7.11gb used of 7.15gb.
It should have been 16gb
I usually have around 10 GB free internal storage

So I tried to go to twrp, but the same problem occurred.
It seems my phone is unable to go to recovery.
I did the one with power button and volume keys, and it tries to go to recovery but the ROM boots up.
I also used the is function of reboot to recovery but by this too the ROM boots up and not twrp

Ok first of all makes sure ADB is enabled in your settings just in case something goes wrong you will be able to fix it without swearing
Once ADB connect your phone to your PC and use CMD/terminal command to reboot your phone in bootloader
Then reflash TWRP using the CMD/terminal
Once it's done reboot your phone and try to go to the recovery
EDIT: I made some search
And I need you to provide me some more information
RR ROM you flashed, I need the Android version (Lollypop/5.x or Marshmallow/6.x.x or Nougat/7.x.x)
And please provide me the link to the TWRP recovery you used (if you found the TWRP recovery not on XDA, DM me the link instead, follow the rules.)
I might need the phone model/or code if applicable
(Ex: I have a Huawei Nexus 6P but codename is angler) you can see this in the bootloader
EDIT 2: seems like your issue already been answered heads on this thread

Thanks for the help but I found what was the concern (my problem is not fully solved)
The recovery was very stubborn to just start up.
So I used the official twrp app and flash booted through my phone.
Fortunately it worked.
I wiped everything including internal storage and the storage just showed up in my pc.
I flashed the ROM and Gapps again and the problem got solved.
There just one thing now, the internal storage is there when I go to Settings>Storage but cant access through File Explorer or pc.
The apps got downloaded to the internal storage only so its not much of a problem though.
I am having the same issue.

Hello,
I was wondering if some could help me please. I wanted to flash RR Rom 6.0 on my BLA-L09(I think that what's it is) phone.
I was able to unlock my boot loader, and flash TWRP my device but my dumb s*** flashed TWRP to my file system use FLASH SYSTEM instead of FLASH RECOVERY. Now, I can't fix it ?. I know I can use sideload so I'm not panicking just yet however I know I messed up the file system.
Could someone tell me what file system system I should be using (fat, exfat, ext4, etc...) and what to do to get this think to boot backup.?
I've tried and side loading "update_full_BLA-L29_hw_la.zip" stock ROM but no luck... I keep getting this error message:
"check_write_data_to_partition,write data error
Update_huawei_pkg_from_ota_zip: update package from zip failed
Updated process ended with error: 9"

Just boot to fastboot, flash RR to system and TWRP to recovery_ramdisk?
After unlocking, I installed EU rom via adb, the installed unofficial TWRP 3.4.1b -0506 and rooted.
I used the phone without any probems for some days .
I then decided to get rid of MI software. After uninstalling a lot of software using App Uninstaller by Jumobile.
Also after that the phone worked well for an hour or two, but after a reboot the phone always goes into Fastboot.
I still can go into TWRP. When I try to install Curtana Global from external SD card, TWRP returns "Install zip Successful" but with an error message
"Failed to mount "/vendor" (Read-only file system)
I am very grateful for any help to unbrick my phone

Hello
Why not to flash a fastboot rom via Miflash? Phone will be from clean basis.
Test the new Miflashpro if you have time.
Good luck.
Note 9S not yet listed in Miflashpro; fastboot rom not found
thanks Lolo93939 for the input.
I found miflashpro under a com domain with the same name and installed the most recent version 4.3.1220.29. Selection of device does not include Redmi Not 9 S or Pro, accordingly moflashpro can not be used as of today for note 9S.
I then downloaded XIAOMIFlashTool from the com domain of the same name: miflash20191206.zip and installed
Downloaded latest fastboot rom from mifirm net / model / curtana.ttt which is V11.0.7.0.QJWMIXM.
unziped the rom 2 times until I had a folder with subfolder "Images" and shortened the folder name to V11.0.7.0.QJWMIXM and copied it under new folder c:XIAOMI
Executed XiaoMIFlash.exe, selected V11.0.7.0.QJWMIXM folder, selected "clean all" at bottom (to make sure the device is not locked again), then connected phone in Fastboot screen, refreshed in XiaoMiFlash and flashed.
Flash ended with error but phone seems to be up and running again.
brufi said:
Lolo93939, i would love too. I have searched for 3 hours now and did not find a functioning Miflash. I tried the 2 latest versions from xiaomiflash com but both give out an error "could not find flash script."
I find Stable roms for curtana but all links to fastboot roms end in 404 pages.
Could you point me to source of Miflash and a fastboot rom?
Thanks a lot!

It doesn't find your computer path for stating flashing.
Did you unzip the tgz and the tar file?
Place the unzipped result close to your computer C: directory and clean as much as possible the name.
That MUST work...

Thank you! I did as suggested.
all worked well, but got
error: not catch checkpoint (\$fastoot -s . *lock).flash is not done
still the phone is up and running again, so things seem to be good.

Yeah, had the "catch checkpoint" error, too.
Don't mind, phone is running without problems after that, also when you got this error.
Biggest difference I've noticed is that I had to restart the device manually after flashing (normally without this error, it would reboot automatically) ?
By the way, have you edited your posts a few times?
That makes it hard for other users to understand the whole problem and on that way maybe your posts can't help other users with same problem, so please don't edit/change whole postings ?
