I have some questions regarding lineageOS on the SM-G901F Samsung Galaxy S5 plus:
I have a SM-G901F Samsung Galaxy S5 plus and since you can't format the SD card as internal, the internal memory is permanently overcrowded.
For this reason I want to install lineageOS.
With the original Samsung camera app I can film in HD with 240 fps in any length, as well as in Full HD in HDR and 4K with 30 fps and create spherical panoramas. With the current lineageOS version this is still possible or is it possible to install or rather flash the original Samsung camera app under lineageOS? I use the camera often and if this is not possible anymore I keep my distance from lineageOS. I have not found an app in the Play Store that has these functions.
I also read that WhatsApp warns during installation that there is no support for custom ROMs and no guarantee that WhatsApp will work properly. Is there any experience there? With other devices I have read that video telephony with WhatsApp does not work because the camera is not recognized by WhatsApp.
I know they can't guarantee the functionality, but they have the know-how and certainly the connection to answer my questions.

Zudem habe ich gelesen, dass WhatsApp bei der Installation warnt, dass es keinen Support für Custom-ROMs gibt und keine Garantie das WhatsApp reibungslos funktioniert. Gibt es dort Erfahrungswerte? Bei anderen Geräten habe ich gelesen, dass die Videotelefonie mit WhatsApp nicht funktioniert, da die Kamera von WhatsApp nicht erkannt wird.
Ich weiß, dass sie keine Garantie auf die Funktionalität geben können, aber sie haben das Knowhow und bestimmt auch die Connection, um meine Fragen zu beantworten.

Whether you can make use of adoptable storage or not depends on both the device's hardware and the Android OS (ROM) used. With regards to Lineage OS you are higly recommended to ask this question here.

Hallo zusammen,
habe ein Galaxy Tab 10.1V (eines der ersten).
Hat auch alles recht schön geklappt --> war gerootet und als letztes war CM10 mit Android 4.1.1 installiert.
Konnte es nicht erwarten ein neues Rom raufzuladen und habe eine die cm-10-20121112-EXPERIMENTAL-p3.zip installiert.
Danach bootete zwar das Tablet noch zweimal....

Hier ist mir dann aufgefallen, dass die Rom welche ich installiert hatte, scheinbar eine für ein Telefon war... da ich ein Hörer Symbol auf dem Desktop hatte....!
Anschliessend versuchte ich das alte Rom via ROM Manager und Mobile Odin zu flashen.
Dies funktionierte auch nicht, da die neue Software eine neue Partition anlegte und die zu flashenden Dateien im Ordner "O" zu finden waren, welche leider nicht boot fähig waren.
Darauf hin, wollte ich mit ODIN flashen..... und das gab meinen Tab den rest......
Aktuell bekomme habe ich drei verschiedene Boot Möglichkeiten:

Dude first off all i want to say that here are rules on this forums, and 1 of them is that you have to type in english, you're lucky that i understand perfect german but i'm gonna reply in english:
You did not flash a phone ROM on your tablet but an experimental ROM from droidbasement, and probably the wrong ROM from droidbasement. You don't need to flash pershoot's experimental builts if you can get extremely stable cm10 releases now on get.cm.
Seems that you can not get into recovery and download mode, if this doesn't work, Mobile ODIN wont help you neither, looks like you hardbricked your device.
If you do not know what you are doing you shouldn't flash anything on your device, and if you decide to still do it, READ before flashing! Or better, DO ANYTHING!

And... yes you are right. I think I have flashed an experimental ROM and I know that I don't need this. Sometimes I will take a risk . Is this not the way from Android?
Yes I think I have hardbricked my device --- no Problem -- I buy a new one.
What I want to know is... when the device have a hardbricked... can I change something? Maybe if I buy another use tablet (From two make one)? Did somebody exist how can do this?
And... I read. So I have read that if somebody wants to learn it is necessary to make his own experience. Or not?

I won't give up that fast!
First try to get to Samsung recovery by pressing the power and volume down button. If you can get into the Samsung recovery you can flash a Stock ROM with Odin and restart from there.
I was in a similar situation (I am ROM developer and used to it) and I could get out of a destroyed TWRP recovery and a not working ROM by that. Just give it a try!

Also, ich bin Programmiere und arbeite momentan viel mit Verschlüsselungstools bzw. Programmiere auch diese.
Ich habe mir mal die Verschlüsselung angeschaut von Android. An sich ist sie ok. Leider hat Google das verfahren ein wenig unoptimal gelöst. Denn Android verschlüsselt/entschlüsselt die Daten einzelnd, dies hat den Nachteil das das laden von Resourcen(z.B. Apps/Spiele ect.) erheblich länger dauert. Die Lesegeschwindigkeit kann bis zu 1/3 reduziert werden und das ist erheblich. Ein anderes verfahren wäre die Partitionsverschlüsselung, dies bedeutet das eine Partition KOMPLETT verschlüsselt wird und beim Starten des Handys KOMPLETT entschlüsselt wird. Dieses Verfahren nutzt z.B. auch TrueCrypt für Windows und Luks für Linux. Den einzigen Nachteil den man darauf hat ist das das Booten des Handys wesentlich länger dauern würde. Trotzdem wäre es optimaler, denn ein Handy rebootet man nicht tag täglich wie ein PC. Durchschnittlich ist ein Handy 24h, 7tdW an. Somit wäre dies viel optimaler für den Endnutzer. Denn nachdem die Partition einmal entschlüsselt ist ändert sich von der Performance her garnichts.
Nun zu meiner frage, da Android Geräte ja nichts anderes sind als Linux, wäre es möglich eine Software ähnlich wie TrueCrypt für Android zu Programmieren? So das z.b. ein eigenes Bootmenü beim Einschalten startet worin man das Passwort eingeben muss und nach erfolgreicher eingabe dieses Bootprogramm die Partition entschlüsselt und von da aus denn weiter gebootet wird? Hat da jemand vielleicht Erfahrungen?

You must rooted it and install MoreLocale2 from Play Store.
My Le max 2 come tomorrow, from Honorbuy. Honorbuy say the new Firmware is multilingual with german. See the Pictures of the Homepage from Honorbuy.

There has always been a multilanguage "international " ROM but its not official. There is a new 14s update on 26th May. As far as I can tell its update for fingerprint. I have just flashed it and fingerprint scanner is much better

I dont have a link for international ROM. It came on my phone but I didnt use it and flashed the official 14S rom ASAP.

This link is for latest official Rom release. It only has Chinese and english language which is 1 language more than I know anyway. But be warned it did break my TWRP as reported by others
here. I know there is an updated TWRP an hope someone can share soon.

Hi,
Did you get an automatic update notification? I cannot even find the system update app found on other LeTV devices on my LeTV Le2 Max. Is it possible to search updates in some way? Or will it just be pushed out, and cannot be searched manually.
I have som bugs on 13s. The Battery Assistant do not work. Settings closes down when clicking on it. Does it work in 14s? Or maybe it is just me with that problem?

My phone came with international Rom. I flashed the 103s version of 14S. There is an system update link under settings but my system was uptodate everytime I tried. I found an update online on 26th and I ve now flashed that. There was a significant improvement to fingerprint scanner. I havent tried the battery assistant but my phone charges in about one and half hours and battery life is good so i havent bothered. Battery gives usual info and doesnt close at any point but I dont see battery assistant, just power saving.....sorry

Thanks for your reply! Then in international ROM there are no system update visible I guess. Good to hear 14s works fine for you!
This battery assisant is inside the power management menu at same level as "ultra standby mode" or something like that.
So updating to 14s should be no problem except for english language. Then to add swedish keyboard I guess for me.
The language are half english and half swedish anyway in the international rom. Seems like there are some differences other than language in the international rom then though. You have not seen any differences concerning the network? Band 20 for LTE is crucial over here in Sweden and works out good on 13s international.
I think you are more likely to get full coverage on 14S than on international. I think the international is just cobled to please international customers. There are alot of more adjustments you can make also like defaults ,permissions, notifications etc as well as freezing some system chinese apps. As regards updating see other threads on Gaaps and TWRP but all sorted easily. Someone here said there is a locale app that makes transition to your language easy. The boot up now has a couple of lines of Chinese but thats it . Great phone !.Good luck

Hi, ich denke auch darüber nach mir das Le Max 2 nach deutschland zu holen. Wir sind denn eure Erfahrungen bisher ? Wie ist die LTE Qualität ? In nem anderen Posting ist von öfteren unterbrechungen bei der LTE Verbindung die Rede.
Auch würde mich sehr interessieren wie die GPS / Kompass Qualität ist. Wegen dem schlechten GPS habe ich mein Zenfone 2 entsorgt.
Und zu guter letzte speziell an @erwin7 , wie ist das mit Honorbuy gelaufen ? Hast du von EU Lager bestellt ?

I can share my experience with Honorbuy, and it was exceptional when sent from EU Warehouse. Got the phone in 2 days. After sale support though I don't know.
But delivery was flawless. Have not hade the time to investigate in detail the other questions but band 20 works over here in Sweden for LTE.

Habe bei honorbuy dienstags bestellt. Donnerstags war Feiertag und Freitag war es schon da. Habe einen EU Adapter bekommen und alles andere war auch Top. Sendungsverfolgung und guter Support!

Das Handy ist Spitze!!! Ich habe keinerlei Probleme. Habe auch schon gelesen bei manchen bricht das internet oder Telefonate ab. Bei mir bisher nicht ein einziges Anzeichen davon. War erst auf der Standardrom, Dann auf der neueren die hier gepostet wurde, dann sogar ein Update in der neugeflashten rom gemacht. Alles super. Meine Google Apps funktionieren und durch mein gekauftes Titanium Backup und root habe ich jegliche China Software "entsorgt".
Das einzige Manko: Ich kann das Handy nicht mit meiner Auto Freisprechanlage verbinden. Sobald gepaart, bricht die Verbindung auch wieder ab. Ging bis jetzt mit jedem Gerät. Ansonsten funktioniert Bluetooth zum schicken von Dateien wunderbar, habe ps4 Controller über Bluetooth dran zum zocken, ohne jegliche Verzögerung. USB on the go funktioniert sogar mit meiner 2,5" externen Festplatte. Der Fingerabdruck Scanner funktioniert manchmal erst beim 3-5. Mal, jedoch kann das auch an mir liegen, da wir eine Katze haben und oft feine Häärchen darauf liegen, da die mitgelieferte Silikonhülle nur da und an der Kamera offen ist.
Viele Leute sagen, es funktioniert nur einer der scheinbaren "stereolautsprecher" unten am Gerät. Ist aber quatsch. Die Linke Reihe ist für Ton, die rechte Mikrofon.
Musik hören über den mitgelieferten Adapter ist auch kein Problem, aufladen geht relativ zügig (Hatte vorher ein Oppo mit Vooc Charging. Würde fast behaupten TypeC ist minimal schneller)
USB Verbindung ist mega schnell, habe über nen PC mit 3.0 Anschluss eine 2gb Datei rauf geschoben. Was soll ich sagen. USB 3.0 eben
Ich nutze das Handy wirklich regelmäßig und bin sehr aktiv jeden Tag. Bisher hatte ich keinerlei Mängel feststellen können. Du kannst mir gerne auch noch weitere Fragen privat stellen.
Ubrigens habe ich die 4gb RAM Version mit 32gb Speicher. War zwar nicht mein Wunsch, aber ich braucht zu dem Zeitpunkt schnell ein neues Handy. Auch gegen die Farbe rosegold habe ich nichts einzuwenden. Hatte Angst, es sieht sehr pink aus, sieht aber einfach nur sehr edel aus.

Hey, an sich sind wenn ich alle Apps geschlossen habe (Nova launcher aktiv) genau 2GB RAM verfügbar, laut multitasking Anzeige des EUI.
Die App habe ich ausgeführt, hoffe dieser Screenshot bringt dir was.

Würde mehr bringen, wenn du das GPS auch aktivieren würdest Am besten auf GPS / Gerät Only, aber Hohe Genauigkeit geht auch.

Hab ich jetzt ausprobiert, sorry hab das GPS sonstimmer aus.
Die App scheint meine Position überhaupt nicht zu erkennen. Komisch. Ich mach mal Maps auf.

I have a mobile phone with Android 5.1 stock ROM lying around since 2017.
Now the problem:
The phone does reboot infinite because I've used TWRP and accidentally flashed my own made Android ROM onto the bootloader and recovery (I'm a little jerky sometimes ... I thought TWRP is such a tool to bring the new ROM into the bootloader... basically: i thought that my ROM will automatically be installed by the bootloader the next time I boot it.) Well, how is it so my bootloader and recovery has been overwritten by my ROM.
It is a Cubot Z100 Pro
The phone's boot image is visible, it lasts about 5 seconds and then it's off again. And then the whole thing repeats itself ...
Well, today I have found it again and well s.The problem has changed nothing (as well as: D)

Ich habe ein seit 2017 fehlgeflashed rumliegendes Handy mit Android 5.1 Stock.
Nun zum Problem:
Das Handy startet nicht "durch" da ich TWRP genutzt habe und versehentlich meine Selbst erstelle Android ROM auf den Bootloader und den Recovery geflashed habe (Ich bin manchmal etwas schusselig... Ich dachte TWRP ist so ein Tool womit man die neue ROM in den Bootloader verschieben kann sprich: Ich dachte, dass meine ROM beim nächsten Start durch den Bootloader automatisch installiert wird.) Nun ja wie es denn so ist ist mein Bootloader und Recovery durch meine ROM überschrieben worden.
Es handelt sich um ein Cubot Z100 Pro
Des Handy's Boot-image ist zu sehen, es hält ca. 5 Sekunden und dann ist es wieder aus. Und dann Wiederholt sich das Ganze...
Tja heute habe ich es wiedergefunden und naja am Problem hat sich nix geändert (wie denn auch )

Hello, my english is not the best but for all peoples who are need GPS, do you dont make a update for your phone to FW 9.x. Today i have see that GPS is not aktivate, you cant find GPS anymore. I have talk with Huawei support now and they have 5 Huawei Phones for testing and all phones dont have GPS anymore. She cant tell me why but it its on all phones with OS 9.x and she thinks that there is no error in the system but the Huawei general does not want to make GPS available for activation in the system anymore
That mean:
No more GPS on all Huawei devices from OS9.x., if possible downgrade if you need GPS. How, do you can look here:

Hallo, heute wollte ich Navigon auf dem P20 starten und habe mich zuerst gewundert, warum es kein Signal gefunden hatte. Nun habe ich versucht das GPS Signal manuell zu aktivieren und stellte fest, das dies komplett verschwunden ist.
Nachdem ich also alles versucht hatte habe ich beim Huawei Support angerufen um anzufragen ob es sich um einen Fehler im System handelt und ob dies nachgereicht wird. Die Support Mitarbeiterin hatte nacheinander 5 Huawei Geräte geholt, unter anderem das P30 und andere. Bei allen das selbe resultat, kein GPS manuell aktivierbar !
Wir kamen also zu dem Schluss, das es kein Fehler im System sein kann sondern definitiv gewollt ist.
Standortdienste lassen sich weiter aktivieren, GPS jedoch nicht.
Für mich wird Huawei langsam zum NoGo !!!!
Ein Downgrade lässt sich jedoch noch durchführen indem man HiSuite deinstalliert und diese Version installiert:

my GPS works fine on P20 lite with latest update.....
Did it then tried again with the rollback and this time it worked with HiSuite no idea why.

Hlo, are aoi shut that you use GBS and not mobile date connection? Go to search GPS then A GPS works only GPS for Navigon don't work and we have test more then one phone..
Wie Du Downgraden kannst steht in den Video erklärt, wenn Du Probleme haben solltest melde Dich ruhig.
Du musst die neue Version von HiShite deinstallieren, dann die alte drauf und nun sollte Dein Gerät erkannt werden
Ja hatte dann geklappt, hatte es vorher aber auch genau so probiert egal Hauptsache läuft

That tile is really missleading, the fact that your gps is not working on EMUI 9.1 doesn't mean everyone's gps isn't working.
Second, this is an english forum, so please talk in english.

First, I can only Tell you what the Support have talk top me and that is she have look 3 phones and they dont work.
GPS sehr cant activate but that whas a Info frew days after release the new 9.x emu.
Next, pleased die you look i have write in 2 Languages die better understanding and i dont think thats a problem nur vor me the Problem ist the same No GPS Option in the News P20 Lite Update and now i dont make a Update again before i not can read that GPS works again.
