Backup user name and password for new device - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I know this might be stupid but I can't figure it out. Had an old phone with a game and need to save the name and password on my new phone. I thought when i transferred everything it would do it, but it did not. (I cannot remember the password and the email is gone)
What would be the easiest way to do this. I know its probably really easy but could not do it.
Thanks for the help!

[Q] Unlocking xperia U without knowing the unlock pattern?

My friend has been deceased in a car accident this Sunday.
Is it possible to unlock his sony xperia u phone without knowing the unlock pattern to contact his friends, relatives, and everyone that matters?
Or flashing a custom recovery to the phone somehow and cloning all the data on the storage to an sd card or hdd?
Every option, recommendation, possibility matters, even taking the phone into a sony service or sth. like that.
Let me know if you can help.
Thanks!

Well, just try some random patterns. Sometimes, it's just a real simple one. If that doesn't work, and you enter the wrong pattern for a certain amount of times, you can get in using the Google account (if you have those credentials) or by answering the security question. I can't think of anything other than that, but perhaps some smart folks around here have a good idea.
I think its impossible due to android security programming unless you just keep tring or answer the security questions or crack his google account password.
If USB debugging is turned on its possible.Just delete gesture.key from /data/system using adb shell..

My university email (Exchange) requires insane permissions, can I bypass them?

Hi XDA,
I was setting up my school email account on my phone, and saw how insane the permissions it wants are. It requires full admin permissions (1, 2). Can I somehow bypass this? I have a rooted LG G4 with Xposed, but all the modules that do this sorta thing seem to be for LL only.
I think it's quite ridiculous that they even ask for it, it's my phone, not theirs. They say its so they can help when the phone is stolen, but that sounds like BS to me. It's also not really an option not to use it, since they change the schedule a lot and we're also supposed to reply to emails as quickly as possible.
Anyway, thanks for the help in advance!
There will be no discussion of cracking access to things that aren't yours, cracking your phone is fine because it is yours. As you said, the phone is yours, only the phone, if you want access to their stuff then follow the rules to use their stuff.

Game bot, email hacked in game and how do you trace it

My questions are simple
I have a friend who was playing an Android game
Dragons of Atlantis heirs of the dragon... Yesterday he played like normal, logged in, logged out... Everything was OK...
But today at 4am someone else logged in his account and deleted everything... Approximately 17000 $ of stuff bcuz you know gamers spend money some times...So is there a game bot, or exploit that breaks that game to find out emails and password? Bcuz that happened...So if anyone knows how to trace that sort of thing from my device let me know...However I don't have a computer just a phone but please reply to private MSG thanks

Man that happens when you download an application from another web and not from play store it's a very simple exploit that they made for u, you can trace maybe if your account it's from Gmail there is a option that can bring the IP and the location of your logs, and a recommendation, you should made more stronger your password and add your number phone to your email address to have more security, for now change your password this would fix that little hackers.
didn't answer my question
How do u find out the IP. Address. Of who used the email account. Besides the. Owner? I would do it myself but I can't help him...i don't. Have pc

Hey bro.
Isn't so difficult tracing back an IP address an email and some passwords by haltering an app.
First of all, as rjcreations saied change email password with a safer one.
Then, make sure next time to download by trusted source like Play Store.
At the end, I can suggest you, after having changed password, send an email to the game devs explaining what's going on your account and see what reply you will obtain.
Ah and make sure to scan twice with MalwareBytes and AVG free (or Avast if you think it's better). Those ones work like a charm
(with you I mean your friend obv, but these advice are the standard ones)
I hope best wishes for you and say to your friend to take care next time
ok
That advice I gave to him already before the first response...just from what I know...
But he thinks that the person who got into his game was from California and he lives in Texas...but he said that the person in California. Has been trying to get him to quit game...and I didn't know that he had given out his login info to one person...so either that did it or they gave out info...i know there's three levels of security...but not sure how. To do it on phone.
He can't change password. According to dev...not yet...so I don't know

Help Recovering Data from Xperia X

Hello Everyone,
This is a 100% genuine question, I am not a crook, blagger or thief.
A friend of a friend passed away recently, she was young (30's) and left three young children behind and a heartbroken husband.
Anyway, she had a sony xperia X with photos of her kids, her life and all her personal accounts linked to it - and it is behind a password so her family have been unable to gain access to her phone. They have asked me to help as ive done a few things for my friend in the past with a high level of success (data recovery, etc)
I have a ton of info about her, kids DOB's, husbands DOB, all their names, her email account (but no password for that either) and a ton of hints and suggestions of what the PW could be from her dad but so far ive been unable to get in.
I have tried DrFone android toolkit but the phone isn't supported.
I have searched and searched and the things I have found either involve a hard reset/wipe which we dont want or involve using some dodgy solution that I really dont trust (i only just persuaded myself to get DrFone as that didnt exactly look fully legit)
So i'm reaching out to this community as I know if anyone will have any suggestions it would more than likely you guys.
Im a LONG time lurker of these forums (although i'm ashamed to admit ive only just singed up now to post this) im reasonably clued up on these things and have messed about with phones since I was a kid, but this has left me scratching my head.
Few points to note;
The phone is locked with a password, I dont beleive USB debugging will be enabled (cant check) and I *think* i know the gmail account linked to it but cant get access to it. The phone is no longer on a network so cant access the web or have security pins sent to it via SMS although I dont think I would be able to see them as its been rebooted and needs password to view contents of any messages that come in.
Thanks in advance guys and girls
if its locked bootloader then there is no way you can retrieve data
not from the internal storage
its encrypted! any attempt to login and rooting will require long process and sony will wipe everything
try remembering her gmail and password. usually backup goes to gmailaccount , perhaps thats you clue
Thanks for your reply mate, I am trying to get access to her email, I shall keep you posted
Why not unlock her bootloader, flash TWRP and gain access to the pictures that way?
Edit: OEM unlock needs to be enabled in developer options - unlikely

Old phone is pin locked, Need to get personal data off it?

Hi there, So my sister recently found an old phone of hers and asked if i could get any and all of the pictures and videos off the phone but doesn't remember the pin code to it / the Google account she used for it. So is there any way to get the personal data off the phone and possibly bypass the lockscreen? If we can't use the phone thats fine as long as I can get any pictures/ videos from it.
The Phone i believe is the HTC Desire Eye E1
Thanks for any help! And if this is on the wrong place im sorry, I'm new here
