need help -- sprint TP repair

i had just purchased a Sprint Raphel from Ebay, keyboard issue (i was aware of this) i fixed it, however, in process of fixing it unknowingly till the issue arrived again i had mangled the LCD / Touchscreen and key's ZIF socket. the cable itself is fine and i tried to fix it, nevertheless, in the process i did more harm than good.
now, i'm not going to phenoky insurance claim it the damage is all my fault, but my question is this:
if i take it to a sprint repair center and say "i need this part" will they give it to me? or are they going to give the phone a good look through before they want to replace anything? has anyone went though out of warranty repairs? they want 120 bucks just to repair the thing, and if i can just get that PCB replaced which i could do myself without the 120 repair fee i would be ecstatic
i am going to go to a repair center after work, looks like i will be grabbing my titan at lunch in the meantime

worth fixing?

I made another post explaining that my phone will turn off by itself randomly and then today I had something very unusual happen. it was charging in my car, then suddenly stopped charging even(was at 62%). I unplugged it & plugged it back in then suddenly the screen glitched out and went black(but the power light was still on). The phone was unresponsive so I unplugged it and pulled the battery. I waited a bit & put the battery back and then it turned on normally. Once it was up though, the bottom left corner of the screen was super bright and looked like it had fluid behind the screen. I freaked out and pulled the battery again. I then took the phone apart and found it was completely dry and no water damage indicators. I sprayed it all down with canned air and put it back together but it still has that issue in the bottom corner(although the screen is still operating fine).
whatever that problem is, it takes up more then enough of the screen to bother anyone + is still doing the random power offs. I do not have insurance + with the S-OFF and the void sticker now removed from the screw I doubt Verizon will do anything. I'm sure it will be over $100 to fix this(just not sure how much more), so would it be worth it to fix this or just buy another phone off of craigslist?
Call Verizon and tell them about your problem. have them send you a replacement as it is still under warranty. When you get the new one CAREFULLY remove the void sticker (heat it up, hair dryer, lighter, whatever you have lying around that can do it) from the replacement, and put it on the one you are sending back.

Unfortunately, since I traded my old phone for this Thunderbolt they(Verizon) told me it is no longer under a warrenty. Instead, they offered to send me a new Thunderbolt in the mail for $250.... I then asked about the Bionic and was told they'd give me a new Bionic for $300. I'm debating what to do now.
p.s. a local cell phone shop said they could fix my phone for $140 but couldn't guarantee if the buttons at the bottom of my phone would light up again or not.
Do you mean you already have a replacement Tbolt? If so I think you only get a 90 day warranty on those.

well, i got my original TB when i signed up with Verizon. i took it back within the 30 day period and exchanged it for an Incredible 2... some time later i traded the Incredible 2 with someone for this TB.
so more or less, yes... replacement of sorts. i explained this to the verizon rep(who apparently already knew).

question about sending back a defective phone

So my rear speaker went out a while ago and it really was no big deal. Then i had a good size bright spot in the middle of my screen. Took it into sprint (was unlocked and on viper rom)to get some repairs done on the Hardware portion of it. Well the tech said that he couldnt fix the speaker issue but he ordered me a replacement. My question is if i had it rooted and what not is that going to cost me money? OR will they just plug it into a computer once the phone gets to where it needs to go and flash whatever it is they flash or wipe or whatever? Should i be concerned about a charge even though the tech had to have clearly known it had a rom on it. Replacement phone just got here today.
if your replacement phone is already here, then why are you worried about it? they likely would have made you pay for it up front before ordering you a new one if that was the case.
cross your fingers for hboot 1.4.. and don't let them update it...
good call. yeah its another 1.50...weak. oh well. thanks for your response
Yea, I have 1.5...very cumbersome...always have to plug it in to a computer to reboot to recovery .

[Q] Samsung Repair Center?

I was wondering what everyone's dealings are with Samsung, regarding their Note 2 is. I am on my 3rd Note, and I love the phone but the earpiece is defective (causing static) which did it on all 3 notes that i had. Eventually, Verizon said I needed to contact Samsung stating while they can give me a new phone, they weren't sure it would fix the problem.
Contacted Samsung on 2/9
Received Label/Ticket Number 2/9
Shipped Phone back 2/11
Monitored....monitored....monitored...
Samsung Received phone 2/13 (today)
2/15/2013 11:23 AM-Carlos Negrete: The unit has left the technician. SOLUTION: Replaced Component
*02/14/2013//10:08:16//0001773863//Telephone//ASC* scratch on screen (Screen Protector)
2/13/2013 2:11 PM-Dulce Amaya: The unit has been received. Pack Condition: Fair Packaging (Box & Cushion)
Expected Repair Date: 2/20th
I'm wondering if it'll really take an entire week (5 business days) to fix the phone and by fix, I mean simply replacing the earpiece in the phone. I barely got to use the phone and had just rooted it (don't worry, I returned it to stock before sending it in) and had finally gotten the phone exactly the way I wanted.
Has anyone else had to send their Note 2 in yet? I couldn't exchange it at Verizon again because it's past the 14 days, so it has to go through Samsung now.
EDIT: Have just determined that the Samsung repair center is a joke. They put a message about a scratched screen on the repair status website.....if they would take off the SCREEN PROTECTOR....there would not be.
Looks like I may be getting the phone quicker than expected (hopefully).

Question Fingerprint on pixel 6

Any solution for disconnectd fingerprint on pixel 6 ?
Months back I had to send my bricked P6a into google to reset a blown 'e-fuse'. When I got it back, it had a new peel-off scr protect sticker on the screen meaning they musta busted the old one when opening my phone. Peeled it off...booted and went to setup fingerprints and got an error like 'Unable to communicate with fingerprint scanner, consult auth. repair service'...I called google and they said I had send it back AGAIN...I then made a stand and demanded a NEW replacement, not a fixed (again) or refurbed phone and was miffed cuz I sent in a perfect screen and FP sensor!! After some more skullduggery they finally caved. YRMV...I'm a good 'irate' customer...lol
Have u just got ur phone back from servicing/screen replacement by chance? Or did it just stop on u?
