Auto Rotation sensor too sensitive - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

Hello,
I have a problem the automatic rotation of my 9s which is too sensitive, only by placing the phone on a table the screen rotates.
Is there any way to calibrate / reduce the sensitivity of the sensor?
Thank you

I have always the same problem, some new Fix for it?

Same here. Not a big problem, but it happens every time

Same problem here. I have always had the same issue with my Redmi Note 5 pro too. Pretty annoying.

That's really annoying.

[Q] Screen lock app for during calls?

This is my first touchscreen phone (came from Blackberry world), and I've discovered that I have a talent for hanging up on people with my face randomly during phone calls.
Have modded build.prop for these values:
#proximit sensor screen off delay
mot.proximity.delay=450
#proximit sensor disable touch distance
mot.proximity.distance=100
(Harmonia 1.7's default settings were 25 and 60, respectively. For the second one, do I want it higher or lower if I want the sensor to disable touch as much as possible?)
But really, I just want to be able to completely disable/re-enable the touchscreen with a hardware button during a phone call so I can mash it around my face without a care. Is there a (good) app for this?

Ambient display

For quite a while, almost over all recently updated roms, i found out that ambient display feature now activates the touch screen which may lead to a turn on if pressed. I haven't encountered this issue back then, i was very happy with this feature, but now i misclick things most of the times when i take out to check the clock and put back my phone in the pocket.
It's not kind of major issue, but it's bothering, and i can't live without ambient display.
The reason i made this thread is to ask if anyone found any solution to disable the touch when im using ambient display, thanks.

Problem brightness mate 20 pro

Hi guys, a question: setting the brightness manual, you noticed by chance if entering some Apps like Facebook, Gmail, Chrome etc the same is lowered and then return to the set value when you leave? Thanks to those who will answer.
That is even with the auto brightness ticked-off and smart screen feature also off, the screen will automatically lowered after few seconds I opened the Facebook app, Chrome app for example.
same problem..
This is a serious problem with the software, but a intented one. Really makes me think about whether I keep this phone or not.
This video adresses the problem at minute 3:20.
Also the flickering of the display is a issue for sensitive users. This is the most flickering oled display I've seen so far. Adressed at minute 2:55
I really hope Huawei adresses and fixes this strange programmed behaviour. But I'm afraid they won't, because the Mate 10 Pro and P20 Pro also have this automatic brightness limiting.

Check whether the light sensor is working. The screen brightness may not adjust properly if the light sensor is covered by other objects.
Please adjust the screen brightness if you think the screen is too bright or too dark. Go to Settings and select Display > Brightness.
Please check whether the AUTO switch in the Brightness level menu is enabled. If the AUTO switch is not enabled, the screen brightness may fail to adjust automatically. You can go to Settings > Display > Brightness level to enable the AUTO switch
Dude, this is so off topic. Has nothing to do with the sensor. It is software.
Check the internet for Huawei brightness dimming, screen dimming and power genius. You will find many topics which adress this problem. It is a problem in many Huawei phones. Mate 9, Mate 10 Pro, P10, P20 pro, they all suffer from this same problem which the Mate 20 Pro also happens to have unfortunately...
Is there a solution for this problem, I also have the same issue on my Mate 20 PRO. Is any chance to EMUI 9.1 solve this problem ?
Removing powergenie through adb solves this problem
What is the adb?

mia3 problem with involuntary rotation

Hello... for some time now in my mia3 I have the problem that when I have a horizontal application either a game or the same youtobe on the screen it seems to go back to vertical mode and then horizontal.
I wonder if anyone would know why that is.
Thank you very much in advance.
It seems the sensors and system are not calibrated well enough to handle normal uses. It's overly sensitive to small angle changes. I find it switch the orientations back and forth automatically when it's put on the table from hand-held position.
I use this to set orientation for each app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.snowlife01.android.autorotatecontrolpro
It's not solving the problem, just sidestepping it.

I will try. Thank you very much for the answer. I will also notify you if this partially solves the problem.

Try to recalibrate gyroscope sensor, type in dialer *#*#6484#*#* and go to gyroscope section, calibrate. Find flat smooth surface and follow the instructions. It helped me when my phone didn't catch that I'm holding phone in horizontal position. After calibration it's perfect.

That was the first thing I did, as well as trying out many applications, and it's still the same.
Thank you very much.
Maybe there's something about how you're handling the phone.
Say, when putting the phone to the desktop by left hand, the phone would land on the surface by its (long) right side at the moment it leaves the palm. The screen face is tilted to the right somewhat. This is enough to trigger the auto rotation and irritating.
If the system can learn the habit, predict actual intention of the user and give it some delay before triggering the auto rotation, then the display can stay more stable. But I don't know where to set such trigger timing or delay etc.
Later I learn to touch down at the top (short) side of the phone first. Or use that aforementioned app to disable auto rotation on some apps, like browser.
BTW, my gyroscope is calibrated well, too.
