Miui ota 11.0.8 for joyeuse - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

Today i found an app called miui 12 downloader, on this app you could select your device model and then it shows stable and beta versions for each model u can flash by ota, for my joyeuse i found the version 11.0.8(global) but in the xiaomi official page doesn't appear this version of the system, should i try to flash it(I'm on 11.0.5)?, do u guys know something about this?
The name of the file that the app send me to download is miui-blockota-cuartana_in_global-V11.0.7.0.QJWINXM-V11.0.8.0.QJWINXM-fcd4c2960b-10.0.zip

No, dont even think about that, you can hardbrick your phone easily. Its for curtana model, and it seems you have joyeuse so absolutely it will hardbrick your device.

ROMs for the Kate model (Redmi Note 3 Pro International)

Hi guys,
Are there any ROMs out for the international version
of the Redmi Note 3 Pro? AOSP maybe?
I just could find support for the Kenzo model.
Thanks in advance, guys.

Thank you for that Kate ROM.
Is there only one ROM out yet? Also, nothing on XDA for the Kate version?
Kate is now very famous and not many people are having it...
Kate is not international edition as i have heard... The international edition is kenzo, so most development is of kenzo....
Hang around for some time and I'm sure that kate will get some custom roms too....
AFAIK kate is a bigger kenzo (2mm) with diff Modem.
Is this true?, couse I have read people claiming that theyhad install CM13 for kenzo on their kate devices.
Or there are something else, that I really dont know?

No, Ayush, Kate is the international version, as far as I have heard,
and Likesmoke is right, it is 2 mm bigger with a different modem
supporting LTE band 20. A Kenzo only ROM will NOT work on a Kate
phone.
I ordered it two days ago and am searching for a custom ROM now
therefore or I am preparing everything for when it arrives in some
days/weeks.
The international version (Kate) came out some days/weeks ago,
while the original one (Kenzo) is there for some months now. This
is the reason, why there is so much development for Kenzo, but not
for Kate yet.

Exactly, what I was saying. There is no ready ROM for Kate out yet,
but you can use a Kenzo ROM.
With a workaround you can try to get it working, but there are some
users, already, who ****ed up their partion tables by using a Kenzo
ROM and afterwards flashing the modem. They had to reflash several
times and did it in the end, I guess.
But others had success instantly (also with flashing the modem extra).
So it is doable, I guess, but it is quite some work/effort, it seems.
That is why I was asking/hoping for Kate-ready ROMs.

I flashed official CM13 for Kenzo on my Kate and haven't experienced any issues. It runs like a dream. The difficulty emerges when you want to flash MIUI ROMs when you've unlocked the bootloader unofficially. Very few people can unlock Kate's bootloader using the official tool, so straight away, you're stuck with using Safe TWRP if you plan on using MIUI ROMs.
Personally, I have no intention of using MIUI again, so I'm happily running official CM13 with the official TWRP. It runs perfectly.

if I do not return to MIUI rom and I want to use only the official CM rom, can I only use the official TWRP or I have necessarily use Alka TWRP for the first backup?

You can use any TWRP with CM. However, if you want the most complete backup of MIUI first, use Alka for the backup. You can then switch to any version of TWRP, but make sure you flash Alka again if you wish to restore the MIUI backup. You should always use the same version of TWRP to backup and restore partitions.

1- is safer flash kenzo rom on kate? Or is there any risk?
2- everthing works? Fingerprint, etc?
3- is there any risk to have diferent hardware like happen on kenzo, and cause many bugs or many don't work functions?
Thanks

Most people are unable to unlock the bootloader on Kate using the official tool. I'm only aware of one or two people who've done it, and dozens who have been unable to.
You can install any install any CM/AOSP ROM for Kenzo on Kate.
The only tutorial that I'm aware of is the one that I wrote. https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2566258&r=51587231#r51587231
No, you only need to flash the modem once, as it's only the CM firmware for Kenzo that you flash once that installs Kenzo's modem. You just flash Kate's modem to correct this.
There don't appear to be many official cases for Kate, although I found the silicon case for Kenzo fitted mine.

How to Flash TWRP and ROOT Xiaomi Mi Note2

I had posted tutorial on How to Flash TWRP and ROOT Xiaomi Mi Note2 in miui forum link below

Not a single response?
Tested and working fine people with the GLOBAL ROM version?
Thanks, new Mi user here and I used parts of the tutorial and have working root. I did not flash the root zips proposed, as I do not know them, I flashed SuperSu for root as soon as I had a working TWRP.
My bootloader was already unlocked by reseller and some unofficial global ROM was flashed on it. :crying:

Flashed a clean ROM from: http://mi-globe.com/index.php/rom-builder/
Flashed Xposed Framework from SolarWarez 64

Non-existing ROM?
Hello guys,
I received my Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Global version from Gearbest, but I gues there's something not right with it. I have MIUI v8.2.9 (I just read news about 8.2 coming for some Xiaomi devices today). I have this system, since I got the phone (more, than a week). It really is global ROM, since I have a lot of languages, it supports B20 4G, however this ROM is soemthing non-existing stuff. It says Android version is 6.0, MIUI is v8.2, that quite not right. Any suggession on what the heck this is, is very much appreciated!

Hey
How did you try to flash it in the first place ?
With MiFlash tool?
What rom are you on right now?
Well, anyway, chances are that your phone was previously on EU rom (for "sunny" devices).
I would try to MiFlash the FASTBOOT version of this rom.
It should totally work. (even if it's called "mojito" it's for "sunny")
Cheers.
edit: and if it was India, there. (but again, what was it on originally, and which version did you try to flash so far?)

you can get sunny roms from here
Bootloader = boot partition loader.
If you want to load the ROM, you have to load the boot.
If boot recording is not unlocked, it means you can't record there.
Sunny and Mojito have identical hardware, which means they can be loaded with the same ROM.
Visit the following link and read so you don't have to ask basic questions and understand what you want to do.
Redmi Note 10
The Redmi Note 10 is a 6.43" phone with a 1080x2400p resolution display. The Qualcomm SDM678 Snapdragon 678 chipset is paired with 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage. The main camera is 48+8+2+2MP and the selfie camera is 13MP. The battery has a 5000mAh capacity.

So, at the moment you have that rom on your phone ? V12.0.4.0 RKGEUXM
What do you want to do then? Just update your MIUI rom?
You should do it from your phone menu if it's that. (OTA update, but I think you're on the last version already)
Otherwise to flash custom rom and all you have to unlock your bootloader yes.
But as @StaryMuz suggest you should do a lot of reading first.
And get your official builds from here. (but don't try to flash other regions than EU with your locked bootloader!)

the last version of your rom (the one you can flash with MiFlash in fastboot mode) is V12.0.4.0.RKGEUXM. So you already have the last version.
there is beta version, but only available to flash from recovery, so you need to unlock your bootloader.
again, be sure to read there and there.
If everything works fine and there is no particular reason for you to want to change version (is there??) then maybe you should just wait for the next available OTA update of your region (which will be soon).
Cheers

It's not really hopeless since kernel source code for chopin was already released in public.
And few devs outside xda have already tested custom roms in our device such as DotOS and Pixel Experience. although it's gsi roms only , not officially maintained.
Android phone have gotten a lot better in recent years -- so do you even need ... enthusiasts would root their phone and flash a custom ROM.
Since we have a Chinese MIUI rom (weekly & stable monthly) I don't care if we will get custom roms or not.
It's really impressive and far better performance than global builds
