So I figure out what I've done wrong.
I had to update the FW to move from 16.1 to 17.1
This is what I have done by mistake
1) format
2) factory reset
3) wipe everything
4) Flash the Poco fone ROM-GLOBAL-RECOVERY-V10 version coming from xiaomifirmwareupdater (Big Mistake cause I wanted the FIRWARE update only 2Gb FILE)
5) Flash LineageOS 17.1 OFFICIAL nightly 0829
6) Flash gapps pico
After that Wi-fi works but Mobile Network won't work anymore
So I try:
1) to change the SIM card slot
2) to select LTE only
3) to reset network configurations
4) to factory reset
nothing seems to work
Now what I'm trying to do is to
1) format
2) factory reset
3) wipe everything
4) Flash FW-GLOBAL-10 version coming from xiaomifirmwareupdater (AROUND 90Mb FILE)
5) Flash LineageOS 17.1 OFFICIAL nightly 0829
6) Flash gapps pico
But still....Mobile Network is not working at all....
Any hints or ideas on how to fix this issue?
More info about the issue!
So I made a few more tests.
If I have a SIM Card from another Carrier the Mobile Network starts to work
If I try this SIM Card which is not working on my Poco Fone on another phone the Mobile Network works on that second phone
If I try a SIM Card from the SAME Carrier as the first it does not work
So I assume there are some files to delete manually cause any kind of wipe, format or restore to factory/reset fails.
Anyone? ....
Did you solve the problem? I am facing same kind of problem after flashing Magisk.

Hi! I flashed the OxygenOS 3.1.0 (Marshmallow) Community Build in my OnePlus X (link), everything okay but my SIM card slots have stoped working. I've tried the following:
Factory reset
Wipe cache
Flash OOS 2 stock
Reflash OOS3
Remove the SIM
Change SIM from slots
Try another WORKING SIM (still not detected)
Reboot tons of times between any steps
Went back to a (working) TWPR backup I had of OOS2
Flash XOSP
Flash CM13
But still no luck...
Can't get a way to fix this and it is obviously a software problem as this never happened before the OOS 3 install.
Any ideas?
Dial *#06# and confirm if it displays Valid IMEI number.
A few years ago I installed CM11 which gave my phone a new boost. A few months ago I noticed the development of CM13 for this device. With the arrival of the snapshots I decided it's time to upgrade.
I'm familiar with the CM13 on another device (Galaxy Tab 2) so I think I know how it works.
I tried several times but the problem is that my SIMcard is not detected.
I use this device as my daily phone, so luckily every time after restoring to my current CM11 everything works fine again.
Current
CM version: 11-20141115-SNAPSHOT-M12-i9300 (smallband I9300XXUGNA8)
TWRP version: TWRP 3.0.2-1
(Living in the Netherlands)
To install:
cm-13.0-20160820-SNAPSHOT-ZNH5YAO0J2-i9300
open_gapps-arm-6.0-mini-20160901
1. sync several apps
2. reboot to TWRP recovery
3. full backup to External SD
4. wipe (factory reset)
5. advanced wipe (cache, dalvik cache, data, system)
6. connect USB-OTG
7. install (in queue: cm-13.0 + open_gapps)
=> no errors
8. wipe cache, dalvik cache
9. reboot to system
during configure: No simcard detected
10. ignore
11 finish configure
12 enable root
sim working: no ( but with sim pincode ON not possible to pass lockscreen )
imei: correct number (checked with DevCheck)
smallband: yes (I9300XXUGND1)
contacts: yes
Also tried to reboot and
To shutdown + remove sim + boot + shutdown + reseat sim + boot
=> nothing
Revert to CM11 and everything works like it should.
The whole world is happy with this CM13 build (and newer nightlies), so I can't believe it has something to do with the rom. While I don't have any problems with my phone on CM11 I'm sure, my phone is fine.
So, what am I doing wrong? Wrong combination of software? Something with partitions, filesystem, etc (never played with that)?
Something with my current carrier Vodafone (sim is simlock free) combined with the XX modem and radio (while should need XP for Netherlands)???
I'm out of options. Please help.
Thanks in advance, René
//Edit
Could it be something to do with the TWRP version I use? Older forum posts (12-2015) suggests that newer versions then 2.8.6.0 wouldn't flash radio and modem correct.
Is it possible to flash an older version of TWRP over the current on...?
I'm in the exact same boat except I had TW 4.1.2 before trying CM13
Phone needs to be running these latest bootloader and modem.

These?
Sorry, I meant "the". Damn spell check.
Hello everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 and I'm trying to install Lineage OS 7.1. The flashing goes smoothly but when it reboots, I type the SIM's pin and I get the "SIM operation failed" message. I remember I messed around with the efs folder some years ago but after that I have been able to flash several ROMs, CM 12.1 for instance. I tried to flash CM 13 but I did ran into the same problem, I couldn't go beyond the SIM's pin screen.
I'm trying to use EFS Professional but in the Device Filters menu there's no Galaxy SII and no matter what device I choose, the Device Partition window stays blank. I can not do anything with it.
The current IMEI in my phone right now is 004999xxxxxxxxx. How can I reset it to the right one? I'm desperate!
Try reinstalling 4.1.2 With Odin and reflash LineageOS
Following is worked for me on my Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 with LineageOS 14.1:
1. Flash original ROM with Odin. (if at this moment IMEI is not correct use program "Samsung Tool" to manually edit IMEI)
2. In security setting, set SIM card lock to none. (After this you should permanently disable SIM pin request on startup on every new ROM)
3. Flash custom TWRP recovery with Odin.
4. Root phone.
5. Make nandroid backup of EFS using TWRP.
6. Wipe cache, system, boot, data and flash custom ROM (do not reboot system after flash).
7. After flashing custom ROM, restore EFS using TWRP.
8. Flash Opengapps, wipe cache, dalvik cache and reboot system.
9. Set everything up Google account...etc.
10. In options check if IMEI is valid. (If is not, reboot to recovery and try again to restore EFS)
If you don't have working cellular network after flashing custom ROM, read following:
From Play Store install app "Cell Network Reset".
Open app and run "Reset Cell Network". (This step is weird because some times after few minutes i get working network, some times after few seconds. Also some times i need to run "Reset Cell Network" few times in a row to get the network working)
I hope it will work for you
My device is redmi note 4x (mido), I've tried lots of different custom roms, i'm installing these roms as the instructions say, but I always get some problems like camera crashing, default file browser crashing, corrupted package installer where you cannot install any app where it just says app not installed. Now I'm stuck without sim card and wifi working I currently have OrangeFox-R8.3-mido twrp
I tried roms like resurrection remix, lineageos, havoc os and all of them have some issues and other users don't experience these for some reason.
I tried to wipe literally everything possible in the twrp (maybe wiped too much?) with different combinations, format data, factory reset and also advanced wipe> and tick everything form here, then I install the firmware if the rom instruction says so > flash rom without wiping cache, flash newest open gapps arm64 usually 9.0; nano and then hit the reboot and usually bit laggy(and sometimes crashy) google setup pop ups, and if it doesn't fail on the setup I get some of the problems I talked before. Anyone also had problems like these?:crying::crying:
The only wrong thing that I see in twrp is
Code:
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/sec at /firmware: Invalid argument
it's written with white text(not red as usual errors)
I prefer u to wipe everything. And switch to orangefox r9 and wipe everything and then install any trble rom. See if thus works

I updated the orangefox and it didn't help, tried to download the normal twrp from https://dl.twrp.me/mido/ and it still doesn't work,
It doesn't see my sim card, wifi during settings and I can't even turn on the bluetooth
Hi All,
Please read all of this I've explained in detailed what I've done so maybe an info can help solve this problem.
I've been part of the root community since 2010 - I'm saying this so you know I'm not new to all of this - and I had my S9 plus SM-G965F rooted and working on "G96XF-FD-N-CSA2_by_SoLdieR9312_14.3_r60"
then I wanted to test out The new ArrowOs so I did this link. after 2 day of perfectly working I wanted to switch to the GSI Pixel experience android 9.0, I had to load a different Vendor so I did and flashed the image and got stock in a boot loop. So I restored the backed up I've made with the ArrowOs and everything worked perfectly. an hour later I've tried to do the same again, thinking that maybe I've missed a step and back in the boot loop again, So I downloaded LineageOS 16 (UNOFFICIAL) it booted up and worked perfectly but since I saw no difference between ArrowOs And LineageOs I restored my ArrowOs backup (since I had it all configured and apps installed) and since this restore My sim card does not work, I've Tried :
Clean Dalvik / ART Cache
Clean System
Clean DATA
Clean Internal Storage
Clean Cache
tried To change the vendor img (don't know if it does anything)
tried to change the Firmware
tired to re-flash old roms (they booted up but still no sim card)
So I'm done I've find no answer online other then clean cache and reboot your device
Yeah and btw all the rom i've tried evry time I go in settings > network & Internet > Mobile network and Error pops out "com.android.phone isn't responding" on ALL software after a full wipe don't know if this helps, but please I need help this puzzle got me to go crazy today nothing like this happened to me since 2010 help please
Restore your efs folder
