Audio quality headphone jack? - Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite Questions & Answers

Hello,
I am still using old (but quality) headphones, so I am very interested in the quality of the 3.5mm headphone jack. Has anybody tested this? Are there any reviews that cover that topic? Good analog audio quality is really important to me, so what are your experiences? Thank you!

Its pretty good.

best headset for the touch HD?

Hi,
any audiophile Guru out there to suggest for a great headset - best audio quality possible - allowing for FM radio and music control to keep the touch HD in the case?
I am asking this since i realized that my JABRA BT620s does work reasonably well, WITHOUT wires being A2DP, but the price to pay in quality and radio is simply too big....

Well, if you are after sound quarlity, hehe, go for Ultimate Ear 10 pro.
some shure or sennheiser headphones.. they are the best. I have one of both.. different type of headphones..
shure is in-ear, and sennheiser are typical headset.
cheers.
I just bought the Jabra BT530, read great reviews of it.
But overall, they say if u want the BEST Audio Quality, then u should buy this :
Aliph Jawbone 2
try googling for a review on that, and u will get an endless list of them!
hope this helps!
Hi to all,
after some web googling, i decided to make a good but reasonable step and purchased the Shure Se110 (black like The Stone).
Not only the quality is stellar with respect to the standard headset, but it is pretty easy to wear and in particular the FM radio works very well!
The sound is pretty loud and incredibly balanced. they don't crackle even with the highest dynamic ranges...
It has only one defect, in some respect: you don't hear anything anymore, so make a good life insurance when you walk your dog...
When at home I use my Technics RP-F290 and while mobile I use my Sennheiser CX300.
I use these [BOSE] - found them to be excellent
http://www.bose.co.uk/GB/en/home-en...o-headphones/bose-on-ear-headphones/index.jsp
I see there is now a version designed for use with mobile phones - has a mike and some controls built into the lead
These will blow your head off

I'm looking for a quality in-ear headset in the pricerange(with the same audio quality of course) of the Sennheiser IE6, but with a small microphone in it, like the original HTC-headset.
Is something like that in the market that is compatible with the HD? (so just for the 3.5mm output, no bluetooth)

@lipa47: The Shure's look great! Does anyone know how the SE210MPA sounds compared to the Sennheiser IE6? And how is the cable quality in therms of durability? I see that the Sennheiser uses kevlar cable's.
@Nobelove: Sorry but i don't see any microphone's in those models?
Hey, how are you?
My advice to you would be to think about the HTC RC W100 wired remote control. You simply plug it into your device and its 3.5mm stereo socket means you can plug in any headphones you like. The sound quality from the mike is superb. It allows to control the volume, Forward/rewind, answer/end calls etc...
With regard to headphones, I use x3 types. I have a set of the latest Bang & Olufsen ear set phones which clip over your ear and are comfortable. I use them while cycling/jogging in London – I can answer the phone while on the move + can still hear ambient traffic noise even when listening to music/radio on a reasonable volume...
For flying I use the very excellent noise cancelling Sennheiser pxc350's - I thought the 450's were a little too flashy and not worth the extra cash for the button to talk to the air hostess...
I also have a set of the much smaller noise cancelling Sennheiser pxc250's which are very good - the noise cancelling works fine but not nearly as good as the 350's.
I have done a lot of research into this subject and would say spend money on your headphones. Also, no matter how clean you keep your ears, putting the in-ear phones in place after using them the previous day is not always the most pleasant experience.
I hope this helps.
Rgs,
J

here you go
Sennheiser MM 50 iP
and for the rest you can use this adapter or use HTC RC W100 as justin advised.
and to answer your Q. Sennheiser IE6 is much better in sound quality
Thanks for the great reply's! I love this forum
In the last few hours I've read a lot of mini-reviews on the Shure's; half of them were negative in therms of durability and sound-quality(compared to other high-end in-ears). So the Shure's are off my list.
The HTC RC E100+Sennheiser IE6 looks like a great combi if the cable wasn't that long. The cable of the IE6 is 1.2 meter... So I think that I'll order the IE6 without the microphone, too bad that there isn't a good high end solution for this subject from Sennheiser... The Sennheiser MM50 are too low-end for me.
btw. The HTC RC W100 has been replaced by the RC E100. From what I can see is the only difference that the E100 got an headphone included.
Edit: I've just found the Etymotic Research HF2: http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/hf2.aspx
Does anyone have experience with this brand? It's completely new to me, but it looks like an great option.

I can say that I went through Sennheiser: mx400, cx300, px200, px100, and I finally sticked with Shure E2c. I use Sennheiser HD580 in home and I can say that in terms of durability and quality (cable etc.) those E2c are pretty good. Well maybe newer models are not that good By the way output in HD is not that good, there is lot of hiss.
Have any one tried the Sleek Audio SA6 In-Ear Earphones ???
How do they compare to WESTONE 3 and Shure SE530 ???
I do own the Plantronics Voyager 856, excelent bass!
You can use the BT headset mono or stereo by clipping of one earpiece.

Done.
I recommend the Moto s9s (bluetooth); worth every penny i paid for them.
Yes, Motorola SD9-HD has my vote. Comfort, sound volume are first rate. Battery life and Bluetooth range are also excellent. I was amazed at how close the sound comes to my $500 Shure SE530's (well, almost, since the Shure's are in a league of their own!). The bass response was a wonderful surprise. I was also very surprised by how nice Window Media Player on the Touch HD sounded and how well A2DP works between the two. A+ rating from me!

I think the best solution is to go to your local electronics store and buy a headset adapter w/built-in mic for the iphone, they work on the HD and allow you to answer calls. You can plug in any headphones that you like and use them in your laptop or music player as well.

Those sure look nice!
I'm no sound guru but do know that even tho the frequency range is wider than the skullcandy, that will only be noticeable with certain types of music. And the impedance will definitely play a part as well. Not sure whether the difference in the size of the speaker itself will be all that noticeable on such minute vessels but it might. If you really want to know you could post on an audio forum I suppose. I suspect the largest difference noticeable would be the in-\out ear types and everything else would be minor in comparison.

Hi kjt57,
I'm in the same boat... does your MSVC work with the standard HTC headset? I had to tweak the registry to make it work. Now it needs a long press on the HTC headsetbutton to kick in. I thought that it should work with every 3,5mm headset. Can you please crosscheck with the original HTC?
I'd like to use the Ultimate Ears Metro.fi 200v or the Shure SE210 with MPA-3C adapter, but MSVC is a must. I couldn't find a local dealer who has this earphones for testing.

The headphones from my girlfriends' Nokia N76 don't fit. Although they're 3.5mm, they're too shallow to fit in the jack.
I don't like In-Ear anymore, so I use the Sennheiser HD 25-II. They are simply amazing!!! I can recommend them to anyone!
I have some Sennheiser CX400 MkII's and they're fricking awesome with the HD. You'll need to make yourself a custom setting in Audioboost, but play around and you'll find your sound.

How can i get the most audio quality and volume out of Z2 ?

Hi all
my brother just bought LG V10 and the sound quality is great and so was mine until i started listening to music with V10
i know it has an extra sound chip but i really think that Z2 has the potential to be that good too
the question is how can i get the most audio quality with Z2 ?
which headphones do you recommend ?
i have the standard MH410c headphones that were in Z2 box , should i get the noise cancelling headphones ?
is there any software modification i can do ? (i currently use stock firmware but its rooted)
I bought the noise cancellation earphones and they are really good. The sound it's really great for me.
There are 3 things you can do as far as I know
-> Buy a better set of headphones
-> Buy a dac
-> Use software such as viper4android or sound mods.
In my opinion, you should start by fiddling with the software because a good pair of headphones is pretty expensive, and so are most dacs out there

About DAC - if you want to use it, you should use digital connection between phone and DAC. How you gonna to do that? As far I know the only way to do that is connection by Wi-Fi or Bluetooth but if you choose A2DT you loose quality. I don't know any DAC with Wi-Fi connection. In iPods you just make line out cable and than connect DAC by that. I really want to know any line out before amplifier in Xperia.
Sound mods are good enough for speaker, but it's can't do better sound on poor headphones. Start with that. Of course you can try some mods, but I think, and I'm telling that as drummer and sound engineer, that can't really help. Built tools in our phones are just enough.
I recommend to try AKG K518. But if you want in-ear headphones you can try noise canceling sony ear buds. But that's one have a lot of high frequencies and built-in equalizer haven't enough bars to equalize it. I was using a lot shure E2C and ultimate ears fi but that's IEM (in ear monitors) so that's have nearly flat frequencies response with cut-down high frequencies.

regarding bluetooth headset, Z2 supports APTX, which should make wireless audio via bluetooth sounds better. Of course, the headphone must supports it too.
If you are listening to mp3 files I don't think it's worth to get expensive earbuds. Just the Sony NC earbuds with Viper4Android FX. Guaranteed soundgasms!
You can use DAC with usb otg connection. I'm using Hifiman HM-101, you just need to connect it and it works. Sound quality and loudness of it is much better then internal Z2 sound chip.
Im using HTC Sensation XE earphones and the sound is very good. Depends on what music you listen to and do you like clear or bassy sound. These are christal clear, I turn off all sound enhancements and get really good experience.

Well, you are going to spend a lot of money if you want to buy a good pair of headphones...
Probably more than 50€...
Plus, the headphones that came with the phone are pretty sh!tty, save for their noise cancelling feature, which in my case is fairly useless anyway.
However, if you are intending on buying expensive headphones, make sure that they have either a fairly low impendance, or get a dac. The phone might not be able to drive the headphones, it is somewhat common with truly expensive headphones.

I use AKG Y50BT with APTX. Just a suggestion.
The basic earbuds without noisecanceling that come with the z2 have a terrible quality, Sony should be ashamed of themselves to include such worthless junk with a flagship product.
I bought the noisecanceling ones lately, just to try as they are for less than €30 including shipping on amazon and they do sound a lot better.
Still, earbuds and good sound quality just don't go together in my humble opinion. Although I have never tried high end earbuds, the sound of big 40 or 50mm headphones is just so much fuller and more complete that I cannot imagine those tiny things capable of that.
Plus that over ear models are a lot more comfortable if you listen for longer periods.
Use Xtreme music mod

How is the audio quality through the headphone jack?

I read a lot of threads back when the Poco F1 was released and a lot of people complained about low volume of audio output from headphone jack and low clarity.
It is very hard to compare audio quality if you dont have 2 devices side by side.
So I request people who have the Poco F1 and some other phone like the Redmi Note Pro, Moto, Nokia etc to compare the volume and audio clarity.
If you have MIUI device use the same audio settings.
Can anyone please do this?
Edit: Sorry for double post. Thread was not showing up so I replied in the other post.
Volume was really low for a while. Now it is fine. Audio quality seems good enough.

The internal speaker and loud and clear. It does seem to be a good bit better than my Mi Max on headphone jack. You shouldn't have a problem.

3.5 Headphone sound is low compared to other devices ..
For my part, I'm really impressed by the sound quality of this device (for the headphone jack at least, I don't use the speakers for music).
I'm currently using a Sennheiser Momentum (Circum-aural, M2 model). I listen to music with it on my Honor 5C (previous phone), my Asus laptop (which has a great headphone jack). I'd say that, for a mobile phone, it's one of the best jack output you can get - which is especially impressive given the price tag of this device.
The crosstalk is pretty good, though the instruments are not as separated and the sound stage not as clear as on my laptop. The only problem you may face with this output if you are using high-impedance headphones, because the Pocophone doesn't have a very good output power.
That's all I have to say

What is the best budget earphone (below 20$) that can be used with Poco F1?? (should have enough bass and loudness)
With my samsung OME earphones it sounds very dry
I have seen some reviews saying KZ ES4 is quite good for the price?
will that work well with the POCO F1?

I agree. Pocophone has one of the most impressive audio outputs I have ever had on a phone. Besides my Pocophone I have both an LG G7 and LG V10 so I know how well phone can sound with quality output. the Pocophone is really not too far behind them. That says something. Some people confuse audio quality with volume.
With Mi Sound Enhancer enabled with the right type of headphones it sounds very well and then you can further tweak it to your liking with the equalizer that is better than the one on LG phones. Very good spacious sound on the Pocophone.
