Hi guys.. I need help.. I tried flashing Evolution X ROM for poco f1.. while flashing the ROM error 7 occurred. From a YouTube video I edited the Updater script. The ROM flashed successfully after that my phone is stuck in fatsboot mode. I tried every ROM but it is not working.. I have unlocked bootloader so I tried flashing miui stock ROM with mi flash. Its gives success message but the phone. Boots into fatsboot mode only.. but I tried to flash miui 10 Oreo 8.1 ROM.. The phone is booting.. If I flash any other ROM other than miui Oreo 8.1 phone boot into fastoot mode. And when I flash twrp I gets successfully flashed. But when I try to boot into twrp. it is failing giving message.. FAILED TO LOAD /AUTHENTICATE BOOT IMAGE BOOT IMAGE 0000005..

After you installed 8.1 Oreo version did you unlocked bootloader ? In miflash cleanall+lock is default , while you installing 8.1 miui you maybe forgot to unlock , maybe that's the thing causing your trouble !
I'm not a dev that's what I'm thinking , sorry if it doesn't help you .try factory reset in Oreo version then try to flash miui 11 version with latest mi flash tool

if you have unlocked bootloader, it's fairly easy to revive your device.
just flash stock rom and you're good to go..

Nope, it's not a problem.
1. Download the fastboot ROM and MiFlash
2. Enter EDL mode.
3. Flash the ROM with MiFlash (if u have problems with stable version, just install the beta one).
I dont know why...but it not work!
When i go in fastboot mode and flash with miflash the official developer rom it says "Critical partition flashing is not allowed"!
When i go in edl mode and flash with miflash the rom it says "Open Serial Port COM 3: Failed"!
The adb driver is correctly installed but in device manager it is a yellow error on the device.
I think the reason is because i have now a marshmallow bootloader from CM13, and not a lollipop bootloader from MIUI. Is this correct?
What can i do? Please help me!

unlock boot loader-->flash twrp through fast boot-->restore backup
If you are coming from MM do not directly flash MIUI 5.1 first restore the old backup of MIUI because some users had lost their IMEI.TC

so i was on epic miui 7.1.20 and i was triying to flash latest epic miui 7.2.16 (( https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/epic-rom-miui-8-7-1-12-beta-redmi-note-t3536480 )) using jamflux twrp which is the one they use on that thread. and was getting error 7 every time i tried flashing epic rom. so i flashed AOSIP that i had on my sd card and that installed just fine and booted no problem.
i tried to flash epic rom again but using this recovery (( https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/recovery-twrp-3-0-2-0-t3446909 )) and still getting error 7. so i downloaded latest nitrogenOS and twrp says it installed succesfull but when i hit reboot system it reboots stragiht into recovery. doesnt even show the MI logo on startup. so now the phone is just sitting in recovery no matter how many times i wipe and re install roms. when i reboot into system, it wont boot, even when i select power off it goes straight to recovery.
there has to be a solution and i dont thing my phone is bricked since i can access twrp.
any help ? thanks.

Try flashing zcx TWRP using fastboot
flash zxc twrp usinbg the option of flashing image files within your current twrp and
flash zxc twrp using existing twrp and reboot to new twrp and then wipe data, cacahe, system and dalvik cache and see to it that system is mounted to have effects.
flash new epic rom and should resolve your problem.
regards
Dharmesh
Zcx is best for rn3

Why do you need to go back to Lollipop? Even in Oreo nowadays many banking/financial apps etc. don't work anymore.
I was on nitrogen N rom. Then I wiped the data, cache etc and flashed latest firmware and then flashed the Viper os and gapps. Then booted the phone to os. But it just blinks the mi logo. Even when I try to go to recovery, only mi logo blinks.
Phone is not even charging.
Only Fastboot mode wrks. But that too phone is not detecting in laptop on windows 10.
Kindly help me.
Your phone has been soft bricked and there is nothing to panic about this happens while flashing the roms as sometimes the flashing process is not done successfully or executed successfully ..So the solution for this is to flash the fastboot rom using the mi flash tool and to flash the this rom you need to open fastboot mode and then the edl mode..in this edl mode the phone will be detected by the mi flash tool and the flashing would be done ..
Refer this link for the process

Hope this solves your problem

Probably because you had an unofficially unlocked bootloader and because you flashed lastest firmware it is locked now. If i am right about your problem then the following is the easiest way out.

No.. Unlocked the bootloader officially. When I flashed the firmware, it might have relocked the bootloader again. And also cudnt open recovery. Either way, it just blinks the MI logo and power off.
When I tried to unlock the bootloader again officially, it stucks at 50%.
Dono wat to do exactly now.
P. S. Tried that method in that thread link you gave. It shown as success in the flash tool. Den tried to flash TWRP in fastboot, it shown as failed.

Yes, you can flash stock firmware in edl mode when bootloader is locked. And you need to unlock bootloader If you need twrp to install custom rom.

I can tell you how to check if a particular firmware will lock it. Download the zip and check if it has emmc.appsboot.mbn file. If it is there then your bl will get locked.
To flash the firmware without getting locked, you need to remove that file from the zip. You can do that with any zip app. Just select it and delete, and flash the zip?.
PS: All the above is only if you have unlocked unofficially. Else any firmware will do. Just be sure to get the latest one.
