Hi,
My screen touch is broken, and I'm stuck at this step :

So I decided to buy an OTG cable to connect a mouse, but the mouse does not turn on... I only want to recover the data from the phone. Could you help me please, it's very important for me ? Debugging is not enabled
@zaki_law
If this phone supports USB OTG ( will say OTG got enabled in Android's Settings -> System -> Advanced Option -> OTG Storage ) then you can recover data. Using a OTG cable you can enable USB debugging.
Click the mouse to unlock your phone and turn on USB debugging on Android's Settings -> Developer options
Connect the broken phone to the computer and the phone will be recognized as external memory.
From the computer, open the file folders of your phone and copy the photos, contacts, videos, music that you need to the computer
Thank you for you answer, but as I said, the mouse doesn't turn on when I plug it to my phone.
Nobody to help me ? pls

I have a Mac and in the past, I can connect my HTC Thunderbolt and Motorola Triumph to the Mac via USB and the microSD card inside each device will be automatically shown on my Mac. No driver needed.
However, with the Samsung Note, when I do the above, NO microSD card is shown. The Note does show "MTP Connected".
Is there anything I need to do different to have the microSD card shown in my Mac when connecting my Note to the Mac via USB?
Nobody?
UPDATE: Samsung Galaxy Note DOES NOT ALLOW USB storage mode.
If you were able to AND you are using STOCK ROM, show it to me.
I guess no one transfer large files via USB... i.e. multiple files in Gb's...
Its under Settings - wireless - USB
Don't mess with USB when you can get a great wifi transfer app for under 2 bucks:

usb is much faster for large amounts of files.
And AirDroid is free, why pay?
You understand you are in a developer forum?
Hello, any idea what could be causing this?
When I try to connect my SGS3 to pc, I get this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But when I try to connect my fathers sgs3, I get this:
Could it be a motherboard problem? I took my phone to warranty and they said they found no problems on the USB port, and installed new firmware or something. (Also they changed my headphone jack because it was also faulty)
The phone charges fine using USB.
Thanks.
E: The phone still gets "Hardware id is missing" error but meh.
Fixed!
What I did:
1) Went to device manager and uninstalled all the USB controllers/drivers that had a error sign on them
2) Disabled windows automatic driver install (not sure if necessary)
3) Used another usb port, one behind my computer
4) Bam, it works.
I've been 3 months without able to use USB on my phone now, even took it to warranty.
Feels quite great man.
Guys,
I am really confused why my phone hangs when the USB OTG cable is attached...
Last things I have done before this occurred were; Rooting, CWM, and using the app External 2 Internal (swapping app from Google Store)...
Tried already the following (but failed to address the problem):
- Installed three different custom ROMs thru CWM
- Reverted back to "all" stock thru flash tool
- Used different/other USB OTG cable
Below is the screenshot of the specs of the phone:

My query, is this Android phone that supports OTG has a built-in driver to host any device attached to the USB OTG cable accessory?(as like to Windows computer that needs a driver to recognize or open ang USB device)... Because mine might be accidentally removed or corrupted...
I am very confused of what caused the OTG cable to hang/freeze the phone when attached... I am afraid this might be a hardware problem already but still very confused due to USB Mass storage and Recharging work perfectly...
Maybe anybody here can help me, please.......
Need help... =(
Hope some expert can help...

I have tried to connect my phone on USB 3.0 and USB 2.0, once i connect it on USB 3.0 it shows SEMC device, but when i connect it on USB 2.0 it shows Unknown device or something like that.
Somebody knows how to fix that and if there's even a solvation for this thing? Or Windows 8.1 doesn't accept Sony device in flashmode anymore? Thanks for help! Waiting answers asap! By the way when i connect my phone when it's turned on Windows accepts it fine, i get these errors only when i connect my turned off phone to PC in flashmode to flash it.
P765 in ICS V10C
It dead unexpectly
First, I try to plug the phone to my PC and it appear and disappear in device manager with the name of OMAP4430. I install the fastboot drive and then it rename as "TI" something in device manager.
Second, I use the fastboot script in the forum and choose the option 2 (and try all the other option). It show "failed remote partition does not exist."
And then I try to use the fastboot script but this time I hold the vol + button when I plug the usb cable. This time the lge mobile usb serial port appear in device manager and I am able to use the KDZ tools to start the phone update.
However, the update was stuck in about 2 mins after the lge mobile usb serial port auto appear. I check the device manager, lge mobile usb serial port will automatically disappear and the update progress was aborted. The best result so far is about 50% and stop.
How can I stop the phone auto disconnect with the PC?
Thankyou~!
