I'm trying to connect an Xbox One Controller (Elite v1 without bluetooth) to my M5. It just won't work. I'm using a micro usb to type A and a type A to Type C adapter that came with my Samsung S10.
The same cable and Controller works fine on my S10, but the M5 won't detect the controller. Does anyone know how to get this to work on the M5?
So I got my hands on a new Xbox controller with Bluetooth. There is no way to pair this to Huawei devices. It's as if the Bluetooth stack is blocking it. Works fine on my Samsung devices. Very frustrating.

Hello
I have MHL adapter and its working fine with my SGS2 but i want to play games on the TV on Wifi/BT Game PAD.
I don`t have any game pad so this is open.
In theory I have rpogram to chose:
a) USB/BT Joystick Center - for any OTG controllers
b) Sixaxis controller - for only original PS3 game pads
I don`t want to buy the PS3 game pad as its expesive a I additionally I want to buy next year the new XBOX.
Best choise for now would be a cheap wireless controller with the program A) which dosen`t need to be plugged to the phone with OTG cable.
Is this possible and is there such a hardware to buy?
Any ideas?
Use a cheap usb (pc) game pad and use it with A program.

how to connect it when I have the MHL adapter in the USB port ?
the sixaxis controller and the sixaxis app are your only options.
let me explain:
if you want to use mhl, you cannot use another usb device, which excludes xbox controllers, because, well, the wired one needs a usb port of course, but the wireless needs a usb receiver as well (since it is not bluetooth). also, i never got the wired one working, it seems to consume to much power for the phone and only works on tablets.
then there is the wiimote, which works with bluetooth, but to my knowledge, it does not work with the bluetooth stack on the s2. the consequence is:
either you use an aosp/aokp based rom (which uses a different bluetooth stack), then you can use the wiimote, but no mhl, or you use a stock rom, then you can use mhl, but no wiimote.
since you need the usb port for mhl, all "cheap pc usb controllers" are out as well.
then there is the phonejoy controller, which works as a native bluetooth controller, but costs way too much for being just a sixaxis knock-off controller (it is like 60eur here).
so, if you go with the original sony dualshock 3 controller (for about 30eur) and an additional 2eur, you are better off. also, besides being able to pair the controller as a native controller, it can also be connected as a native keyboard or using touch profiles, which means, games without controller support will also work. and since this works with a fairly regular bluetooth connection, there is no cable issue there.

Yes, you can play with Wiimotes on your TV (with your S2).
I explain all in this link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25693147&postcount=10
Okay, it appears all newer tablets will easily locate and connect to a ps3 controller via Bluetooth. There's heaps online, but not for the Tegra Note 7.... The controller doesn't appear.
Apart from playing via the OTG cable, which works great by the way, it's less practical when on the move.
Anyone have any success in pairing a ps3 controller to their Tegra Note 7 via Bluetooth Bluetooth controllers for android such as the MOGA haven't got the feel of a ps3 controller? Surely the Tetra Note 7 is capable of supporting a ps3 controller without rooting.
Any comments?

Bit of a shameless bump but...
Nvidia say many controllers will work but only give instructions for the Logitech F710 (wireless through a dongle but expensive) and the Xbox 360 PC USB controller (wired). I`m wondering if the PS3/PS4 controllers or any other decent and reasonably priced ones can be used too...?
I have a Xbox 360 Wireless Controller and OTG cable.
After connecting the controller does not work
Me nothing worked
I tried it: USB/BT Joy Center and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1792531
Help pls:crying:
It won't work cos a wireless x360 controller doesn't work via USB. It has to be paired with an xbox 360 wireless receiver. You're better off using a wired controller or a ps3 or ps4 pad. However. If both the wireless controller and the wireless pad are paired together eg on a PC, connecting the receiver via otg to your phone and turning on the wireless pad would work on your phone. You can make your own wireless receiver from a scrap Xbox 360 if you don't wanna buy. Google around for instructions. It's what I use on my phone. I'd still suggest you stick to ps3/4 controllers
I have a xbox 360 wireless receiver.
Xbox 360 wireless receiver runs on my computer and Samsung Galaxy S6.
But he does not work on my Redmi note 2.
Still
Can someone help us? I encounter same problem...

Same with me, the Xbox wireless controller doesn't work. I got a Logitech F710 for my PC and it works everywhere, phone, PC, ps3, etc.
This problem can be solved... but no one want to solve that.
Hey guys
Quick question, has anyone managed to pair DualShock 4 or wired 360 controller? When I put the DS4 in pairing mode I can see it on the list of available Bluetooth devices but when I tap to pair it says pairing and nothing happens. After a while DS4 turns itself off. When I'm trying to use Type C OTG to micro USB to connect it via wire nothing happens at all. Same case with 360 controller and type C OTG adapter. I've used two different type C adapters and nothing. They work fine with pendrives
I think its down to drivers, the xbox controller doesn't work but i thought the DS4 works?
I have the same problem exactly, keeps on pairing but never finishes, tried resetting the dualshock, searching the web, nothing.
Still no fix for this?
I reached out to both huawei and Sony and the first ones said they can't give me any info and the latter did not respond at all.
I am so mad I can't set up my Xbox 360 controller so I bought this one and it works on all the games, there is no compatibility issue.

Any news or fixes? Do I need my Mate 10 to be rooted? Im still stuck at pairing. :3
The controller works on LG Q6 and ZenFone 2. Still doesn't work well with Mate 10. Do I have to wait on a firmware patch or what.
Bump. Maybe someone here knows the answer.
Bumpinnnn
The only solution I could found was listed at OnePlus Forum. An user said the Ds4 worked perfectly on his OnePlus 3T only by using the Bluetooth Adapter sold by Sony. You plug an OTG adapter on your phone then plug the bluetooth adapter at the OTG Adapter.
Using ds4 on p20 lite via type c OTG without any issues. Im able to pair it via bluetooth but it doesnt accept any inputs from the buttons.
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone can help with this?
I have a stock, non-rooted Honor 10.
I just bought an OTG converter so that I can use my wired Xbox 360 controller to play emulation and other games like X DiVE.
Strangely, it won't work...
Plugging a mouse into the OTG converter, the pointer appears and works instantly.
When I plug the 360 pad in, it powers the controller, but nothing else happens.
I have tested using a controller test app, PPSSPP, Megaman X DiVE and Minecraft. None of them see it.
It would be strange that it's use would be disabled.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Simon
Just tested the converter and controller on a Huawei Nexus 6p, and it works fine.
So it is something with this phone....
It could possibly be due to the fact that it doesn't support the xbox-360 controller? (your phone I mean)
Lack of cruicial drivers..
