Hello
I would like to know if there is a way of installing Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital plus on the MI 10.
Thanks
You have to unlockbootloader, flash TWRP and install magisk.
DD+ works on android 11.
Any chances to do it without root?

Without root or without unlocking the bootloader? I think the only way is to go with Magisk module.
I found working Viper4android tutorial, somewhere here, but first thing which must be done, is a root access, so if you want root (using magisk), you must unlock bootloader.

Is there any audio mod works with full stock miui rom with just twrp installed and non-root ?
Dolby atmos. With root you can get viper4droid. There are many other mods but most of them require root to properly installer viper drivers.
Thanks, right now I have flashed Sony audio mod without root working perfectly.:fingers-crossed:

But it modifes system partition like any other audio mod. What does working without root mean?
EDIT: I get it now. You didn't want to use mod which requires driver installation through root access. System partition modification wasn't the issue for you.

I unlocked, and flashed twrp and flashed that.
So it worked non-root for me.

What TWRP recovery are you using? Zcx?
I have tried that mod but I think xloud is buggy. You have turn it off and on again to make it work every time. Does inbuilt MIUI equalizer in system settings work fine with the mod installed?

Viper4arise4, viper4android, and others sound mods need system modfications. I tried to follow a few tutorial for systemless root but no luck because they need /su folder but i dont have it (because it was deleted to unroot custom rom).
Any help will be useful

Just use magisk manager, and download Vieper systemless from the app.

I must install Viper or just your Zip ?
So,i've flashed All is ok but on low level volume between 1 to 10% i have got cracking sound..
How to use Dolby with AOSP (Omni, DU), LOS, etc custom ROM:
1. Make backup
2. Go to edit /system/vendor/manifest.xml
3. Remove this part:
Code:
<hal format="hidl">
<name>android.hardware.broadcastradio</name>
<transport>hwbinder</transport>
<version>1.0</version>
<interface>
<name>IBroadcastRadioFactory</name>
<instance>default</instance>
</interface>
</hal>
4. Reboot, install DA and enjoy
I will include this to my omni/du builds.
If you want dolby/viper to process system sounds, than flash deepbuffer remover from magisk repo.

If you find any good sound mods for Poco F1 please do share here. Like the LG V30 mod or viper or Dolby mod or Sony Xz2 mod or anything. So far the only problem is with the sound
Actually Poco is going to provide Dolby in future update (With MIUI 10 update).As posted in changelog of future beta ROM of Poco F1 in MIUI global forum beta recruitment page.

Update:i flashed v4a, sauron ,audmod lib magisk modules (to make them work together). They're working. You need to tinker until the settings reach your needs, thats all

Go to this thread,and follow the instructions to root with magisk by flashing via recovery, then after rebooting go to magisk manager and go to downloads tab and search for modules required and click install, it's interactive,gollow the steps as directed.
For now viper4android is safe i guess
Because i installed other sound mods and faced bootloop,im not sure its because of those mods,but i wouldn't risk it as v4a suffices all our needs
Dolby atmos working for me on MIUI 10 (8.9.13) with Magisk v16.0

Just flash a sound mod on Magisk and actually, you can download and install a module V4A or Dolby and have no risks on bricking your phone
