Hi everyone!
I have been thinking about buying a redmi 3 mostly because it has a good cpu, long battery life and runs a newer version of Android. I currently own a Samsung Note 2 (no official lollipop update). I really like the pictures taken by the Note 2, specially under low light mode. I could not find a good review about the quality of the pictures taken by the Redmi 3. What are your opinions?
Thank you!
Cannot say about the quality to your Samsung but this compares Redmi 3 and Redmi Note 3.

Poor camera, in low light unusable. Huawei P7 have much better camera.
Redmi 3 have adopted Samsung chip, same like on A5 and A7, and we can just hope that Xiaomi will improve camera experience by software upgrades.

Thanks for the comment, miljenko. The photos taken in good light conditions are also poor? Have you tried other camera apps to see if the pictures have a better quality? Would you recommend this phone?
actually the camera on the Pro version is amazing. Got great photos on it so far.

Do you mean Redmi Note 3 pro? I am asking about the Redmi 3, not the Redmi Note 3.

Phone itself is very good. Sturdy, amazing battery, fast, etc, but camera is not good. In good ligh conditions photos are acceptable for closer objects, anything further is hit and miss. For the price very good phone.
As people are talking about Note 3, for me MTK is not an option and 5,5 inch is too big.

MTK in Redmi Note 3 is comparable to Snapdragon 800 (even in single core performance) and it's much much faster then Snapdragon 616 used in Redmi 3 (2-3x faster) - and you feel it when you have this phone in hand.
Camera is ****ty in Redmi3.

I have another MTK 6752 phone and it is fast like lightning but there is something odd with it. Qualcomm have more fluid operations and simply it is different.
Sorry for off topic.

I have redmi 3 pro. Before that i used lumia 830, xperia z1 and iphone 5c. Redmi has lovest quality camera of all listed devices in low light conditions. Also, auto focus is bad in day light. Redmi is good device for price, but camera is like in all generic chinese phones.
Coming from a galaxy s4, the redmi 3's camera is poorer. Image is just not as sharp. However, it does have faster autofocus and shutter speed than s4. Wouldn't be using the camera for any serious photography.

I am very satisfied with the Redmi 3's camera in normal light conditions. HDR is also working pretty good giving high contrast and nice saturation.
Here some example pictures i took:

Camera die after 4 months used
U should not to think about it. I have bought redmi 3 and used a few month. Now camera error. It said "can't connect to camera"
It s hardware issue.
There's a Note 3 with a Snapdragon 65x, too.
Can't complain, i can squeeze some good photos out of the Redmi 3, its not GOOD like an iPhone or Lumia but it does the job (unless there's poor lighting).
The microphone isnt very good for loud recordings.
What do you think about the RN4(SD) audio quality? Bass? How clear is it? Is it loud? Ty for answers!
It's above average
It's loud enough for music and gaming....
Though sometimes you can block the audio from the speaker while gaming or watching movie....

Sound quality of Rn4 [SD] is awesome. You'll get some pre-defined sound settings to set according to your headphone or ear phone. I've tested my Samsung earphone with standard setting and the output was awesome.

Ty for the answer, I'm gonna buy it !
Hi I am Rupesh from India and I am searching for best android phone for music and found redmi note 4.
Previously I have used redmi h1s and the sound quality was very poor I mean the sound from external speakers and headphones was very low and so can I think note 4 also does the same.
What does Rn4 [SD] mean because you're saying that Rn4 [SD] provides highest sound quality but I am going to buy redmi note 4 with snap Dragon processor. Does both the products are same.

Yes. "SD" stands for Snapdragon.
SD here, quality of the speaker is below average in my honest opinion in 2017, it is somewhat loud but quality is not good and forget bass. In headphones is the worst I remember using, there are some settings you can tweak to get a better sound quality but nothing major. If you want to get a phone for its audio capabilities don't get this one. Get a Htc or even a samsung...
For the first time I am hearing that redmi note 4 doesn't provide high quality sound. You have suggested that there are some tweaks and settings for obtaining high quality sound and so please suggest those settings or tweaks or atleast link which describes those.
I heard about sound mods like Dolby digital plus etc., which maximize sound quality and so please suggest about those. I also heard the term rockbox and so please suggest about it. Is it possible to install at a time two to three sound mods at a time.
Can you suggest best soundmods for redmi note 4.
I don't have used cheap devices before, this is my first cheap phone I buy New, my other phones were EX-flagship Used phones, I've had HTC, Sony, LG. And the quality of audio is way better on those phones. As of tweaks I'm talking about those build in inside on the settings of miui 8.
Install Viper audio and you're golden. My Note 4X has amazing sound via headphones with VIPER

LOL MAN . note 4x got a good amp with 24 bit dac . u just need a good headphone to listen . not a creepy one . its batter than even mi5
Exists there any solution to repair this problem with a software update or software configuration?
Is this a well-known issue?
This clatter (rattle) is always audible, even on lower volume. I have compared this Note 4X with other Note 4X. The other Note 4X sounds very clean and clear.
To change the Ear Loudspeaker is not good, because I haven't found the right replacement part. Also I avoid to disassemble a new phone.
Does anyone have an idea, which would help me?
Hi!
first of all sorry for my english. I 'm planning to buy xiaomi redminote 5 or xiaomi mi a1. which of those smartphones have the better sound in loudspeaker and in headphones?
Thanks in advance!
maybe mi1a have a better sound quality
Mi A1 has horrible hiss noise on headphones.
(it could solve with high-ohm headphones tho)
redmi 5 has better sound quality with headphones.
Good in my opinion, better than my old phone (redmi note 3 pro).
What is the "feel" of Poco F1's vibration? I only use vibration instead of ringtones, so this is very important for me.
Here are phones with different vibration motors to compare it with:
Best - iPhone 7
Great - Huawei P10 / Samsung S9
Good - Xiaomi Mi 3, LG G6
Bad - Oppo F5, Nexus 5, ~other cheap phones
Its average
It's actually better than most Android smartphones below the $800 price range. You only need to try certain games that can make use of the haptic motor. Try Tomb of the mask and you'll start to appreciate the vibration and haptic feedback from the phone

Not really. My son has a Honor 7x which is half the cost of this and the vibration is much better than Poco.

I'm not sure about the 7x, but I've used the Honor View 10, the Honor 10 and the Honor play with the so called 4D rumble haptics. Nothing compares to the F1. Maybe the 7x is better. I can't comment without trying the phone

Well for me Honor 7x feels more like iPhone 8+, a deeper vibration, this phone feels like it's only the surface vibrating but Honor 7x seems to come from deep inside, heavier in texture but not intensity.
poor vibration no doubt
always missing calls and msgs and notifications because of this cant say more...
Very low intensity motor
I too have missed a lot of calls due to this issue. Anyone figured out a way to fix this?
Me too.. the vibration is too mild to be felt while it's in my pocket. As a student, I have to keep the phone on silent for most of the day of i end up missing many calls. The motor is good for haptic feedback though.
Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
Vibration is low.. okay but not good enough to be felt in a loose pocket
Even I felt the vibration on POCO F1 to be a little less than required. However the speakers are great.. I've compared it to iPhone 6 and low-end Samsung guru music 2 both of which have great vibration motor.
