It won't let you uninstall it. Thanks!
What app is it?

Under google settings it's CONJOB-19 exposure notifications likely soon to be contact tracing. I've been ignoring updates since May as they are forcing this garbage down everyone's throats at some point. Eventually my phone locks up with "new sim card" messages if I ignore updates long enough.
This should only provide notification if you would install your health authority tracking app. Did you install anything? This is why it is active.
This is part of Google account and you can just switch it off.

"should" yeah right. These sneaky dirtbags have already proven themselves to be sneaky dirtbags. At present it is showing inactive but I don't believe that for one second. I'd like it off my phone. I looked into rooting as I've done it before on an older phone and actually successfully put a custom ROM on said older phone. But it doesn't look like this is an option yet on this phone? Not even sure that rooting would help? Thanks!

Has anybody tried to set up Google Play Music in Greenify? I find it annoying that every time I go into Task Manager it's running. I've never used it. It shows 0% cpu usage but I just don't want it on.
Greenify doesn't want to shut off a system app though. I was wondering if it will really hurt anything.

Convert it to a user app instead of system and or turn off sync in settings.

Use the paid version and you can greenify system apps.

^^^ This! If you try out an app, like it, and continue to use it, support developers by getting the paid/donate version of their app.

Samsung really messed up right now, they're trying to replace Google services with their BS! First they removed Google TTS (which I had to manually put back through root). Holding down the menu button brings up Sfinder instead of Google now, they don't let you OTA if you've rooted. Wtf is going on! I'd personally like the option to choose to open Google apps instead of having to use Sfinder and svoice. Is anyone else feeling kind of pissed about this stuff

Hold the menu button in Nova and keep it held for an additional second or 2 and Sfinder will pop up. I disabled it through root explorer

personally why would you want to OTA with root? Chances are you will lose root. They do that for safety, less problems. I remember phones bricking all the time when you did OTA, just do the updates from xda. And personally... I'd never compare samsung to apple. That is just a horrible thing to do man.:silly:

I was unable to boot the MI5 deodexed rom so in my case I needed the latest firmware which wasn't available in a tar file.

well Id recommend waiting. It might be harder to root again if u go back to stock
Now I'm stock with root and I'm up to date on the latest firmware. It took a while though because of the whole device status blocking an OTA but I got it. Now I'm just gonna wait for more custom roms to release

That the reason I root my note 3 , uninstall the annoying s finder using titanium backup . After I remove everything is working fine now! I hope you guys doing well too.
Another annoying thing is that I can no longer hide useless apps from my app drawer. They all have to be there. I HATE THAT! But I love touchwiz

Hello,
Which apps you can't hide?
I was able to turn off a few and are not displaying on my app drawer. I'm stock

Hello, All!
I received an S4 as a gift two days ago for my birthday (MK2 build), and immediately rooted it. Annoyed with the ridiculous amount of bloatware on the device, I took it upon myself to begin deleting unwanted apps via Titanium Backup. I didn't think I uninstalled anything that I needed,I tried to stick to just the Samsung, Verizon and Amazon apps, but can't remember everything I uninstalled. Initially, I didn't notice any negative effects of my actions. That is, until I went to open up my gallery, Which freezes the phone for two seconds, then gives me the "Gallery has stopped" message. As for the camera, when I open it, it stalls, then opens. But when it opens, I can still see some of my other app icons around the border, and the camera itself, although open, doesn't work at all.
Any suggestions? What did I uninstall? I assume this can be fixed?
Thank you in advance,
Matt

I also installed a few mods void Xposed, which I tried to attach a screenshot of, but I can't because of my gallery situation. But I'm almost positive it has nothing to do with any of those.

Odin back to clean stock image for starters...then do some research

Indeed I did. I ended up getting my Odin on. At which point, I reactivated my Xposed Modules. After doing this, my camera and gallery took a dump again. So I narrowed it down to the mods (not sure which one, I just deactivated all), opposed to getting crazy with my uninstalling in Titanium backup. Thanks for the responses, fellas.

For anybody interested, I just narrowed it down, and found the culprit. It was a module called Swipeback in Xposed.

Had this happen to me, it was my SD card. Our phones require Class 3 or higher.

Interesting. I wouldn't have thought of that. My card is a class 10, but I'll keep that in mind for future issues while helping others. Thank you for the response.

I just went to the updates section. Galaxy Apps is honestly horrible to receive updates from though. Sometimes it doesn't list available updates.

This was posted in another thread, you can download and update manually
https://www.sammobile.com/apk/touchwiz-home/samsung-touchwiz-home-6-1-50-1-2/
I tested it and it does add the pull down function. It doesn't actually say that it supports the Note 8 but I haven't found any problems yet.

My home screen tab is greyed out. Can't seem to find a setting that allows the home screen tab to be accessed. I have not gotten any UI updates, and galaxy apps did not have any updates, I checked it several times. Maybe they will push it soon to VZ Note 8's, dunno.

Are you saying you installed the .apk and don't see a change? Maybe a reboot? I installed it and it works fine, T-Mobile version.

Hi there all,
So, usually when my phone updates, it resets my Launcher from Google Pixel to default. However, by going into app settings, I can always change this back.
I updated last night while sleeping to 8.1 and it appears that now I have no Launcher setting to change in the app section of the settings.
I really don't like the default Launcher. Is this the case for everybody who updated?
Thanks.
It's a known issue with this update and should be sorted in the next one.

As much as I love the hardware that doesn't bare thinking about and flies right in the face of the whole principles of Android being open and customisable.
