I installed and my phone did not boot. I installed only the ROM, magisk would install after the first boot
I just installed the ROM, gapps and magisk and everything worked fine thanks for the help
Never imagined that g4 play being 32 bit will ever go beyond android 9.
Thanks to developers, even some capable devices have yet to get Android 11 Lineage and harpia have got first build.
Here is the gapps link, in case anyone wants:
https://bitgapps.cf/arm/R/
The ROM works well, ofc would get better and better over time! Thanks a lot devs, never imagined A11 on Harpia!
Damn.
Wow... I never thought there was an Android 11 in the G4 Play .
I will try to flash it when it is 100% stable, thanks for making this possible!.
Great OS!!! Just updated my MOTOG4 to Android11. Thanks for making this possible.
I have updated my device to MalluOS without Gapps. And, I noticed that, Browser is not supported. I did a work around and managed to install a browser. Support for basic browser as part of OS would be an added advantage AOSP fans.
wifi dont work in my device
Loving the rom so far... the only thing I've found that isn't working for me is I cannot get Signal to scan a barcode to link my desktop Signal app w the one on my phone. Any ideas on what to try would be appreciated as I have checked permissions etc and everything looks like it should just work. The camera focuses on the barcode but does not do the scanning bit - there's no coloured squares appearing nor any of the normal QR-code scanning things happening
Big thanks for this rom tho <3
With every new ROM that comes out for the G4 Play, the more I hate Verizon for forcing me to ditch it. This really is the phone that never dies. Fantastic work getting 11 on this thing
Many thanks for this. Installed well and fine so far. But my version XT1604 has nfc which is important to me for contactless payments (GPay). This is not detected I fear. The stock ROM did support - is it possible to include support please - then I would definitely switch to this. Thanks

Team OctOs presents Oct-L
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this Android 5 (Lollipop)?
A: Yes, this is Android 5.1.1
Q: What code is Oct-L based on?
A: Starting with Oct-L, we've rebased OctOs on the CyanogenMod 12 code.
Q: What happened to AOSP?
A: All Android code is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Under previous releases, we tried very hard to limit the number of "Not from Google directly" repositories that we used. Unfortunately, issues with devices, the need for Code Aurora Foundation (CAF) repositories for Qualcomm devices, and compatibility issues meant fighting code more often than not. We decided that since the code-base for many repositories were the same across most ROMs, picking a starting point to build the user experience on outweighed the desire to craft code from scratch, or fix broken code to make it work with other changes we already had.
Q: Why isn't there XXXXXXX feature.
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But CM and all the others have..
A: ROM developers, including CM, build something they want to use. The ROM developer that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't include (or don't want to include), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Oct-L.
Q: Superuser or SuperSU?
A: Team OctOs uses SuperSU and is installed automatically.
Bugs:
Bugs happen. Our testers are very good at breaking things, but no where near as good as the rest of the Android public. In order to investigate and fix issues, we need the help of the users who are going to report them. The Android OS has many nifty features to help us in this, but only if we can engage the user to assist us.
Logs, Logcat, and the Android Debugging Bridge (ADB)
Like any other OS, Android has multiple log files that are generated and record the goings-on of the system. As a user, you have two basic ways to view and pull these to send to us. Without the information in the logfiles, there simply is not a whole lot of information to go on.
ADB Logcat
The Android Debugging Bridge (ADB) is a powerful tool available from Google as part of the Android Software Development Kit (SDK). Used for many things, being able to selectively see, in real-time, what your device is doing cannot be downplayed. While there is more setup involved, if you are doing consistent ROM flashing, you really should invest the time to get setup properly to do it.
ADB Logcat tutorial here:How to create a logcat log
Basic Instructions:
Download ROM .zip file and grab your favourite Gapps package
Reboot to Recovery (Note: Use Reboot to Recovery from Power Menu, Hardware-based boot to recovery, or adb reboot recovery - ROM Manager or similar software is NOT supported)
--- TWRP is the ONLY recovery Team OctOs uses - We do not support flashing on CWM ---
Factory Reset from TWRP
Flash ROM and GApps .ZIP files
Reboot
The Oct-L ROM installation script will automatically wipe /system, /cache, and /data/dalvik-cache. There is no need to do these before or after flashing the ROM unless you are instructed to by your GApps Provider
The foundation of the Android OS is the fact that is it open-source. We have all code we use internally in the creation of Oct-L available on our GitHub repositories.
Unless otherwise specified, all Oct-L builds use the device's stock CyanogenMod 12 kernel.

Working hard is the main motive here.
thankssssssss
come from Bliss, reboot recovery, made a nandroid from blisspop, format data and flash this rom , reboot recovery, flash Slim_zero_gapps.BETA.5.1.x.build.0.x-20150508.zip + Slim_ADD-ON-5.1-MULTI_DPI-20150526.zip too, reboot system. No Problemo at all for now.
just i have to change 'linker' binary (i kept from OMNIROM) to make runing fine Screencast software, usual bug i have with some roms and this app.
many settings in "Trentacles" icon , supersu option FC is normal no, because i havent installed it yet , maybe i dont need it?
thanks @aniket.lamba

But in reality the roms are based in the same kernel 3.0.x and much alike. Changing the wallpapers, the colors, the place of options and maybe a more coded SElinux here and there because of apps. But in majority, they are growing like mushrooms...but not changing too much. This one I think is different, so I will try it. The way it goes with the CAF appears to be the right way. But in my humility thinking I think we are needing a custom kernel, the kernel is the base of everything in a ROM. Like it was in KK, JB, GB.

Q: Superuser or SuperSU?
A: Team OctOs uses SuperSU and is installed automatically.
Here I had to install SuperSU from the market, 'cause it wasn't installed within the rom instalation. But the option is there. Rom appear to be stable, but need to use it more. Thanks aniket.lamba

Oh totally 19 lollipop ROMs for 4 yr old device...proud to be s2 user...
Thanx @aniket.lamba downloading
Rom is good, but Proximity Sensor work not really correct. By playing tbe game Real Racing 3 it function normal, but after a few moments the reaction breaks
I have been running this Rom for three days now without any issues whatsoever. It's fast, smooth and responsive. I have had one freeze issue in 3 days, but that was probably down to VERY heavy use at the time. Jumping between different tasks etc.
I haven't had any proximity sensor issues either as reported by @sourly64.

and it comes with cwm Nice rom with many features. Missing some animations, adblocker, gesture unlock and the ability to hide FC messages. Will try it for a while and report again. Thx for your :good:job
Running this rom for 4 days and had no FC's, only one reboot due heavy usage. The batterylife is better than other roms I tryed. Will stay at this rom. Great job @aniket.lamba

About
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Cyanogenmod. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion…
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application: http://www.mfunz.com/en/developer-application, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server!
Features:
(I will mention only that which does not take into CyanogenMod)
Listview animation
Interpolation anmação listview
Update over the air can download the download website only incremental, it helps lower faster update and upgrade more easily:
Some icons and own layouts
Manager for Google services, so no need to use a large gapps, you can only download necessary at MokeeCenter
Ringtones, Alarms, Notification, UI sounds are all different CyanogenMod, thus bringing a beautiful charm to rom
bootianimation own
information integrated into MokeeCenter
Settings to add speed data network
Settings for navigation bar
Settings for Statusbar
Intelligent control settings to configure the newer apps and others.
What is the difference?
RELEASE: Tested after integrating new features, more stable than NIGHTLY. (Odexed builds)
NIGHTLY: Built daily with newest code and experimental features, might contain undiscovered bugs. (Deodexded builds)
HISTORY: Final odexded builds once a newer Android version is out and being built.
EXPERIMENTAL: Released when a new device is added or when a new feature is added for public beta testing and feedback. (Deodexded builds)
UNOFFICIAL: Maintained separately by individual developers, usually involves modification of shared code which cannot be merged (affects other devices), therefore maintained by the developer himself.
Note: We always test the shared code for bugs, however sometimes we may not be able to detect device specific bugs. If you have such issues, it will be better to report to the device maintainer.

Installation mode :
To install the clean rom:
Download the rom
enter the recovery
make all wipes (expect internal storage)
choose zip from SD and install
you can use a gapps any of its taste since it is for android 7.0.x
or you can go MokeeCenter after starting rom, there you can download the small gapps integrated into the system and have a lighter and clean rom.
To install upgrade:
Method 1:
just download the complete package via OTA
enter the recovery
only to wipe cache and dalvik (optional, I do not)
install the complete package downloaded via OTA
Method 2:
Download the complete package over the air and go to install update
let install automatically for you
Method 3:
Download only incremental updates
for that you need to donate 30 CNY for the team to release the feature on the device directly
But you can do this update without donation
just go on the site and click below build itself where it is written (upgrade: OTA to MK ...)
there will be the incremental free for you, this will save on your data package or in your spare time.
Big Thanks @martincz for development

There is nothing unsafe about caf. Caf ROMs perform very smoothly, but you sacrifice battery life for the performance. Also now that we are no longer officially supported, you lose nothing by going caf over straight AOSP.
Hi, I'm having issues with the camera app, even with Google camera not saving the picture.
Any ideas?
Everything else is working.
Cheers and thx.
latest OTA 20160109 to 20160110 make boot loop. And when i check with twrp File manager, bootanimation.zip becomes bootanimation.zip.patch and also messaging.apk becomes messaging.apk.patch
I flashed the latest nightly caf and between the various app appears substratum. I did not know that the CAF rom support substratum. Or is it a mistake?
Ota update (metod 1 ) not work

Thanks.
I have tested rom. It's working smooth. You really kept this tiny device alive so far!
This build is more smooth than lineage on some of the very recent devices.
About Banking apps - they won't work if a rom is signed using test keys. Thats why though unrooted lineage with gapps does not work with bank apps.
Thanks, @jeferson1979, for making this happen. Unfortunately, I just tested it, and the following bug still exists in 18.1: https://gitlab.com/LineageOS/issues/android/-/issues/2678
I'll try 19.0 soon.

Even worse, I just tried 19.0, and it can't re-connect to a hidden SSID no matter if the screen is on or off! It connects only at setup of WiFi, and then can never re-connect.

On lineage 19 the kernel has another codebase. I'm working over 18.1, as I have no hope over 19.0
We can't meet requirements
Hi,
How to enable zram without root / magisk in lineage?
I have tried 'zram swap enable' magisk module, and less apps reload due low ram.
hello dev, great LineageOS support that you have given, my question is will it officially reach the harpia? 18.1

How about security patches? It is a big part to update the images with the patches? Yesterday i read "

is the earpiece sound leak issue fixed?
It doesn't always have to be LineageOS 19.1 or 20.0
@Borstelchen, I really appreciate your work, because LOS 18.1 only occupies 1.5 GB of memory on the G920F's 3 GB of RAM, whereas LOS 19.1 and 20.0 take up at least 2.4 GB.
Excellent and not common are your additional features: Signed builds and OTA updates.
Tip: If your ROM would support signature spoofing support in the future, it would be interssant for a larger fanbase. In any case, thanks - I'll stay tuned.
hi,
I always have sound problems with Samsung ROMs. I have an S5 and an S6.
The other person always hears echoes of themselves when I activate the speakerphone or directly the other person doesn't hear me.
The only ROM that does not cause me this problem is the original Lineage for S5 but there is no one for S6.
You do not happen to you?
What modem/botloader do you have installed for this phone?
What is the exact installation process?

Guys, I have logo loop on my Samsung galaxy s6 G920F when I tried to install lineage os 18.1. After installation its not booting up, still on lineage logo screen. Is there any boot.zip for this model. Thnxs simon
Using the ROM for a couple of days now:
+ Bluetooth audio is problematic. When I lock the phone while playing music, music distorts. This is the biggest problem in my opinion.
+ Instagram videos have bad quality.
+ In-calls, sometimes the other person can't hear my voice and sometimes I can't hear the other side.
+ Netflix doesn't work. I know this issue is common with LineageOs but Fakemanoan found a way around it to make it work 480p.
+ When you pull the notification bar and open the settings app it sometimes crashes.
+ System UI is working smooth good job.
+ When I plug the phone into the PC and select file transfer it reboots itself.
+ Sometimes the device tends to overheat, but this may be because it's summer too.
+ Bluetooth audio works well in calls, but when I use it on an app like Discord, the other person's voice comes from both bluetooth and call speakers. ıt happens with wired earphones too.
Anyway a good job overall. Thank you for all your efforts and patiently waiting for fixes and updates.
I have just flashed this rom and I am testing it, so far so good. Everything is working fine for the moment.
