Download the rom from the given link in the first comment.
Then download miflash-tool, see guidlines from the link how to flash rom via miflash-tool.
First time, choose "clean all" option in miflash-tool and flash your preferred rom
if your device boots properly and MIUI setup screen appears, then u can turn off device and flash the rom again with miflash-tool, for locking bootloader this time select "clean and lock" option.

Download Flashtool & Rom

[Q] Stuck!

So I updated to a new ROM and I have damaged my recover or I need to update recovery somehow.
The ROM launches and I have ADB support but not google play services or root working
I can access my bootloader (blue LED)but I don't know how to fastboot a new recovery from there
When I go to access recovery (pink LED) the recovery never loads. It used to be a CWM/TWRP dual boot, neither are working.
So I am guessing I need to flash a boot.img from the bootloader using fastboot? I can't find any boot.imgs anymore. Just all this one click **** that doesn't work at all for some reason.
Advice?
On which ROM are you?
Is it AOSP, CM or Stock based?
Is your bootloader unlocked?
If you are on windows, try using nuts dual recovery installer (if you are on stock based rom). But before u use it, u should install ADB system-wide or try to put it into a folder directly on C:/
If you are on e. g. CM12.1 you need to "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" (you find them in the General Section)

Ok, so lots of info here you might want. =)
Yes Bootloader unlocked. I WAS on paranoid ROM kitkat. It pushed a LP OTA update, which silly me, I installed. So right now the phone is on an AOSP based LP ROM, coming from a KK ROM. There was a dual recovery approperiate for that PA KK ROM installed before.
Anyway, I downloaded a recovery from the link you posted and I am currently installing a backup from before I did all these silly and naive things. =p
My next project... How do I go back to stock so I can try a none AOSP ROM? (o:'
two ways :
- you can download a stock rom ftf file from the official thread here, then use flashtools to flash that file (a more complicated version would be to create your own ftf file using xpirifirm and flashtools), OR
- You can download a pre-rooted zip (also available on the forums here) and install that through your current recovery.
Either way make sure you do a full wipe, stock and AOSP don't like each other much from my experience.

1. Go here and download the 23.1.A.1.28 FTF and prerooted zip. (It's the latest stock firmware version) and copy the zip file on your phone.
2. Go to recovery
3. Do a factory reset (wipe)
4. Flash the prerooted zip
5. Shut down your phone (NO REBOOT!)
6. Go to Flashtool -> Flashmode and load the FTF file
7. remove everything in "wipe"
8. on "exclude" tick the following: PARTITION, TA and SYSTEM
9. Click on flash and connect your phone via flashmode and let it flash.
10. Disconnect your phone and start
11. You are done. let the phone boot and settle and reboot one time. Now you are on stock with recovery and root.

[Q] Help for First time Rooting

Hello there, I own a Moto E, Bought from the Indian supermart, Flipkart. I recently came across an LG G2 that runs on Cyanogen Mode 12. That shows the android version of 5.0.2. I then looked deeper and found that my.moto E can be rooted to the same ( or 12.1) OS alwell. So, I would like to root my device and install the mode. I. Kindly request you to provide me with the steps to safely root the device. I'm a newbie to android development and mods. So, please tell me things in the most basic level.
Thank you.
Shon
Firstly you'll have to note that rooting will void your warranty and you might end up bricking your phone (Though it usually doesn't happen while rooting)
Secondly... you should first search for your question in the forum itself since you're not the first person to encounter the problem...
Okay .. now to the rooting part...
To root your moto e..
You'll first have to unlock your bootloader which would result in deletion of all the data you have in your internal storage so you should backup your data first...
Go to this thread for the entire process of unlocking bootloader: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2753110
Next you'd want to flash a custom recovery. There are many custom recoveries out there.. most popular being cwm and twrp.. You can go for any recovery you like
In most cases.. the process to flash recovery is the same...
1. Download the particular recovery that you want to flash and rename it recovery.img... also note that while downloading... you check that it's for your device only...
2. Put it in the same folder as that of minimal adb and fastboot which i assume you downloaded while unlocking your bootloader
3. Enable USB Debugging in your phone from the Developer's options which can be unlocked by tapping on "Build number" a few times in About phone
4. Connect your phone to your pc with a USB cable
5. Open Minimal adb and fastboot
6. Type the following command 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img' without apostrophes
If it says Ok.. then you have successfully flashed your custom recovery
Now you're finally gonna root your phone...
1. Download SuperSU from here https://download.chainfire.eu/451/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.01.zip (DO NOT UNZIP)
2. Switch off your phone and reboot into bootloader by pressing first volume down.. then power button.. then releasing power button
3. Navigate to recovery by volume buttons and press power button to select
4. Select install or install from sd or something similar depending upon the recovery that you flashed
5. Select the super su zip file that you downloaded in first step
6. Flash it
7. Reboot
That's it.. your moto e is rooted now...
And like i said before... use the search bar before posting a question
(Press Thanks if i helped somewhow )
Firstly, Thank you for your valuable reply. I'd like to know a few more things about the process.. In this case, I'd like to set up cyanogen mode 12 on my XT1022. So after having my device rooted, what do I have to do? Do i have to download the ROM from the official cyanogen website? If so, can you please post a link to that file too?
And about the OS, I'd like to know,
*Will I be able to use both my sim cards? If not which sim card will I lose functionality?
*Will I be able to use Data ie, Edge and HSDPA through my sim card?
*Will I be able to use WiFi and Bluetooth?
*How will I Flash my original ROM back if I need?
Thank you for being patient.

Sorry for the late reply.. I know you probably would've flashed it by now and trying out new different roms as well but i'd still post in case somebody stumbled upon this thread...
Yes you'd have to download the rom from the official cyanogenmod website
https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=condor&type=nightly
After downloading it.... Go into your recovery... Do a factory reset (It will delete all your data so backup your rom before doing so) .. Then install the rom and reboot... First reboot will take a lot of time so no need to worry if it doesn't boot up quickly...
Now to answer your questions...
Yes.. Everything is working fine with cm12 and i haven't really seen any big bugs or anything that would bother you since i myself am using it as a daily driver...
If you made a backup before installing the rom.. All you'd have to do would restore it and you'll go back into the same state with the previous rom installed... And if you didn't.. You'd have to install the stock firmware for which you can take help from this thread

I think you should flash the stock firmware
ok, but how? I currently have twrp not a stock recovery. from what I read to reflash stock rom, should have stock recovery because at trwp can not be done. I understand that as a stock firmware You understand the stock rom? or maybe something else?
@shaq8 you posted in the wrong forum buddy.
But to answer your question I found a Lollipop stock package for your device.
Thanks for the link DigiGoon
but how to flash new firmware? All descriptions refer to the dload method, which I can not use because I do not have stock recovery. Is there any method to reflash new firmware having trwp instaled?
and in fact my mistake. the topic was to be started in the P7 section. If an admin will go on this thread , please transferred to the Huawei P7 section

No worries, I'll help you regardless of in which section your thread resides.
So, to flash the UPDATE.APP, follow these steps:
First download the package from the link I provided.
Extract it, and find UPDATE.APP
Now you have to extract the stock recovery from UPDATE.APP using Huawei UPDATE Extractor tool.
After pulling recovery.img you have to flash it to your device via bootloader.
Boot into bootloader mode and flash the recovery by firing this command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Now you have Stock recovery installed.
I hope you are on Lollipop only, if your device was rooted, you have to first flash .img files manually and then force update it via UPDATE.APP.
If your device is not rooted then put the UPDATE.APP in dload folder in your External SDCARD, and press the three button combo after switching off your device, the update process will start then.
I hope this clears something.
the phone has root.
Custom recovery already loaded and working.
I understand that now I have a reflash of all files from update.app? the sequence of flashing files has any meaning?
I ask because I would not want to mess up more in the phone

Rom update help

Hallo.
I'm newby on this device, I read some post, somewhere but in definitive I can't do any Rom update
The device come's with version "8.0.1.0.0 stable",
I did copy some new Rom's on the device than start update App, but the message is Always "ca't verify update".
I did also try to change file name and restart the update without success.
I wish try to force the download mode on the device but in the settings I can't find the proper set up.
Seems I got a locked model?
Than's for any helps.
it is possible you have a modded rom from the seller. Some have done those.
The best option for you is to do download the full rom directly from xiaomi, and then do a full wipe/install on your device.
By default, you should have a locked bootloader.
Get the full rom and the flashing guide is also at this link
http://en.miui.com/download-301.html
You are trying to flash miui fastboot rom ,
With edl mode via pc.
Some months before same prblm with me .
It's working awesome.

Flash Custom Rom on SGP512 unlocked Bootloader Marshmallow 6.0.1

Hey Guys,
as far as i could find out so far, you use TWRP to flash a Custom Rom from the Tablets Recovery Mode, this requires a rooted device, and to do this you flash a prerooted rom somehow, which includes TWRP already, which you then use to flash the rom you actually want on your device.
Another possibility was to flash a Kernel (with TWRP?) to get the same results...
Now I absolutely can´t find a tutorial for dummies, to do that, or find the required files.
After i found it kinda complicated to unlock the bootloader, since most of the tutorials didn´t even mention you need advanced mode and a special Google USB Driver from Sony´s Developer Page, to even get that working, i would really appreciate if someone could give me a step by step with links.
If a tutorial exists, pls give me a link as well, cause i looked the whole day yesterday, and found jack.
cheers
yes, you need to do all that. i just went through this yesterday and used this tutorial:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2747676
once you are unlocked, follow the instructions for your rom, usually to flash the boot and recovery images with fastboot. two things to watch out for though, if you are using an oreo rom make sure your twrp version is 3.2 or better, secondly, if twrp give an error where it cant mount the partitions to wipe them use the change format option under wipe/advance to change to ext4 (which essentially re-formats the partition) and you should be good to flash the rom after that.
here is another tutorial to help get adb, fastboot, and the drivers up and going:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
answer yes to everything, i can't remember if i loaded in sony specific driver on top of that or not.
goodluck!
