What can i do with this? - Chromebooks

Hi guys. I just have a ChromeBook Acer for school work and that kind of stuff. And i have almost all blocked (shell at crosh, play store, linux mode...). I was thinking about turning developer mode on, but, if i do that, that'll wipe all chromebook stored stuff, and thats not viable...
Well, before my highschool found that the play store was unlocked, i downloaded some apps like "termux" or "termius ", to connect my house servers. And i still having that applications.
What can i do with this? Should i turn on developer mode on?, And if i do that... can i restore all my account things?
PD: i cannot add a non-school mail.

From what you described, it looks like the one you have is from your school. The school administrator disabled all non-class related stuff. If you want to do the things you mentioned, simply go get a chromebook under you control.

I suggest you buy your own Chromebook rather than trying to hack one that doesn't belong to you.

[Q] Android Market online issue

I am using a GTab with Vegan Gingerbread.
When I try to install an app from the online Market (market.android.com) on my tablet, it always say cannot associate my device to the account. And I find nowhere in account settings to do so.
Can we associate a tablet to google account and get application from online market, if we use an aftermarket ROM?
Also, anyone knows how to turn off the notificaion sound when email arrives (not turning off the whole volume of the tablet) in "Email" and "Touchdown"
thanks
Have you tried accessing the Market with your tablet? Try that first.
Secondly, depending on what you are trying to install it may not work to install it from the Web Market....
Thirdly, there are other posts that have dealt with this.
Finally, thanks for posting this in the correct forum, though it hasn't gotten the answers you were looking for just yet.

Download from Market to PC

Hello,
I am currently floating around in the Atlantic with an incurable case of boredom. My ship does not have wifi or any hope of coming close to a domestic cell tower anytime soon. I would love to be able to download apps from the market or another source so I can transfer to my personal laptop and then to my T-mobile G2x to stave off this dreadful condition. Any help would be MOST appreciated!!!

Or just look for apks on google, they are out there.
Also what kind of internet does your laptop have, satellite?
I am on a US Navy ship and we get our connection over satellite.
www.freewarelovers.com/android
All freeware and has a lot of apks just download transfer and install.
Sorry i dont get it, am i missing something.
If you have internet access you can download anything from the Android market and it installs directly to your phone. ie/ google the android market, login with your gmail account and it will detect what phones you have with a gmail email logged in.
Then simply browse, find the app you want and click install, select your phone and then it will automatically install on your phone (as long as it has some kind of internet access).
So unlike other websites, there is no need to copy, paste, or transfer anything.
Sorry if i missed the point, i assumed thats what you were asking???
He does not have internet access on his phone (i assue the satellite connection is strictly wired on the ship). So answers above above are the answer. Google will ultimately be the best place but alternate markets should also be checked out. Cant think of te name right now but if anyone knows the market that yongzh moved his emulators too, i believe they offer direct to pc ownload for ree and paid. Im not sure though so dont blame me f im wrong

The phone itself needs to be connected to a data network for that to work.

Securly for Chromebook bypass?

At my school, we have Chromebooks and a service/extension called securly. Me and my buddies have been trying to bypass it since it was first introduced last year. We are cool with the tech teacher and we have been trying to get passed him for a long time.
Any help on bypassing securly?
Note, inspect element has been blocked along with all extensions except for some adblockers. You can also only sign in on our district accounts. I do not want to powerwash it nor uninroll it(if that's how you spell it haha)
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
Gavin
My buddies and I. Unenroll. Spend less time on youtube, more time learning...
Kinda have the same situation with my Technology Director at my High school, Still cant figure it out.
I Have an understanding that we have to un-enroll to bypass the extension because you can't just "Uninstall" a forced extension on a managed Chromebook.
And on top of that, Google's patched all the forced enrollment bypasses, so its pretty much impossible right now unless you literally replace parts on the computer.
all you have to do is open a console (default chrome: ctrl+shift+j) and put this code in: var a=true;while(a){alert(a);}
then hit enter. when the msg box appears, click the check box that says "prevent this page from showing additional diologs" (or something like that)
your filter should be disabled until you restart.

Solution
I have found a way that there is no way to prevent: open task manager with search+escape and disable the securly task. It's kind of finicky though, as it only gives you like 2 second of freedom and sometimes reloads all of your tabs, but if you load a blocked page it won't kick in unless you click a link to a different place on the page.
Also, if you want to un-enroll the chromebook from enterprise manegment, I would suggest buying an m-sata ssd and pulling the one that's in the chromebook out and putting the bought one in until you turn it in at the end of the year. the fresh one won't have enterprise managment on it.
Hope this helps!
Might have a solution?
Hey Rootaholic, I may have found a way, first, go into your extensions tab and at the top of the page click the box that says "Developer Mode", then go down to the Securly extension and click Background Page, then go into the network tab, it's recording, stop the recording and click the box right next to Offline, this may work but I don't have Securly on my Chromebook so your mileage may vary depending on however the filtering is done.
I have tried the development mode and it didn't work please help me with my problem

Hmm, well problem is if I want to work on this find any security holes, then I need Securly, but I don't have Securly at all, so sorry but I don't have ideas at the moment. Sorry
Hey, my school has the same problem. But my friend found a bypass:
Go to a site that is blocked and copy and paste a the site's url into your browser. Then press the search key and escape key (it will open the Task Manager). Very quickly end the task "Securely" and press enter to go to the site in the search bar (the link you copy and pasted in the search bar).
You can access any site.
If you have any questions just ask.
Good Luck.

All of these methods have been patched at my school district, don't know about others tho.
restart chromebook, wifi off, chrome://inspect, go to other, wait for oobe locke, click it, go to application, click rea more about the web manifest, and it opens an incognito tab
If you change the language of the website it works
Nothing works!
I've tried everything (except the ssd idea- hope to do that soon!), and nothing works. I can't end securly processes (blocked), I can't open a console (ctrl-shift-j doesn't work and ctrl-alt-t, the developer shell, is blocked), and developer mode (both for extensions and chromebook itself) is blocked. :crying:
My friends have found a way to block securely all you have to do is go to the chrome web store, click on extensions and then search VPS it will keep you connected to your regular WiFi but it will change your location to make it seem like your in Mexico or something. There is another detention that my friends use but they won't tell me what it is. Because if you know a securely hack than you're in an exclusive club. Hope this helps.
I found a bypass 4 inspect element BUT I FORGOT it. we were messing around and i finally got it and closed out my securely with window.close () on chrome://inspect//extensions. Oh ya the whole school could use inspect too i do not know what my friend did but they found out in 1 hr xD

I don't know why but everytime my school computer crashes it disables the securly extension until I reboot the computer.
same tho
securly is worthless and pointless it blocks music that is allowed at school and not the videos it should
Same Issue!
I am experiencing the same thing at my school. I am using the blocked chromebook right now to say this.
I was smart enough to figure out how to bypass things on these chromebooks because I do somewhat a lot of coding and other things similar to that.
There is an extension called 'Unblock Everything' on the chrome web store and when you click it, it allows you to go on whatever blocked website on here. When you get it, there will be yellow and black colors on the extension logo so when you see it, get it.
Next thing is I would use that to go on YouTube to find tutorials on getting Inspect Element on a BLOCKED chromebook. I would use that to edit things I did on quizzes in Google Classroom.
There would be things like Episode Interactive that would be blocked so I use this to code on there and to go to links like these!
I hope this helped a lot!
P.S. There are many other tutorials to unblocking different things so if you could find those, please share them with me! Hope I was helpful!
The "End Process" button is faded oml why

How to flash different software onto a ZaapTV [HD509]

Hello all, I have a Zaap TV HD509 Android Box that was purchased a few years ago. Unfortunately this company was a scam and basically now forces you to pay a subscription fee, otherwise you can’t reallt use the box. When I turn the box on, I’m not able to see an “apps” area. The only way for me to see what apps I still have on the USB stick/SD card in the box is by going into the settings but I can’t launch the apps from the settings. Because of this I can only launch the 4 apps that have custom buttons on the remote control, such as YouTube and plex.
Anyways, I have used my brain for hours to think of a way for me to get Kodi to launch since I know it is installed because I can see it in the settings, but I came to the conclusion they purposely set it up this way so that I would cave in and pay their $150 yearly subscription . I know there are other ways for me to use Kodi but for reasons that aren’t relevant to this question, I specially want it on this android box. So I did some more googling and I come across a post on these forms, specially a reply by the OP to a comment left on his thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2257331&page=26
I’m not sure if the OP was telling him that he can do that to make the ZappTV work, and if he was, I’m not very skilled and I have no idea how I would go about any of this. I just want to flash firmware onto that zapptv android box so that I can actually use the box, without The company blocking my box. Thank you s o much in advance if anyone is able to help me out
I have the same here, I would suggest you pay 1 month to watch subscription, then you can access the box.
install custom app store from the web browser.
install new launcher special for TVs from your choice, and make it your default launcher. then you can start your box every time even when the subscription is expired.
install perfect player for IPTv, and make another subscription with other providers from your choice.

Android kiosk mode for a rdp remoteapp

I thought I should give it a go here after some googling which didn't turn up the right results.
I am looking for an app that can put an android device in some sort of kiosk mode and start a connection to a remoteapp which is on a windows 2012 server. I know about rdp client from windows, but that doesn't cut it because I need to go through the app interface with all his settings that can be changed when connecting. This is also the case with several other rdp clients I have tried.
Kiosk mode isn't really a problem, there are several apps out there that can restrict to launching a single app in android.
BTW I would be happy to pay for it, just need the possibility to test it in our environment. I am hoping there is something standard out there that lets you accomplish this.
(android version will be 6.0 and above on which it should work)
Thanks for any advice.
Hi,
I'm looking for exactly the same thing, did you managed to get any app that answer your request?
Your help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
No sorry. I am still looking for such an app.
Have you tried the Scalefusion Android kiosk app?
