I have an Mi 10 with QJBEUVF firmware. (brand vodafone)
Where can I download this version?
Can I boot with TWRP recovery and make a full backup of the entire phone and then restore it and return to stock?
My goal is to test other ROMs but then return to stock.
Thank you.

You have operator based version of MIUI, not released. You can unlock bootloader, then flash twrp. You can use EU rom for better experience. You can lock bootloader with Global or EEA rom.
Thanks, but I knew that.
I explain to you.
I've always had Nexus and Pixel, I just don't like the Miui.
I wanted to test Pixel experience rom, and if it doesn't convince me return stock and return the phone.
I can't return it with another firmware ...

Search for the firmware on the internet and download it so it can be flashed if needed.
i have same issue here, same firmware code, so i guess the phone of the OP is a Mi 10. i cannot find to download this firmware, as like sceryavuz said, it's not relased since it's a vodafone fw.
the process to swap it's quite simple i saw, only using miflasher, and selecting clean all and lock(for locking bootloader again) but i simply want to make a full backup of this one, in case something goes wrong. (i only have this phone, and cannot risk to lose bank support, gpay or the phone at all, for work reasons).
thank you in advance for the great support here

Hi everyone I recently flashed a rom on my HTC one m8 for at&t (ViperOneM8_1.7.1 rom)
and I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction in terms of how to restore my phone back to
at&t stock?
I only have the bootloader unlocked and I have TWRP recovery. I didn't make a backup before I flashed the rom so I can't just restore back into stock.
Thank you for taking the time to read this if someone could at least point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

The question I ask is "for what purpose?"
AT&T does not require the phone to be stock in order to fulfill the warranty.
If you simply want to return to the stock AT&T ROM, just flash the stock rooted ROM.
Only valid reason IMO to return to stock is to sell/trade the device.
If you are keeping the device, I don't see a good reason to return to stock. The stock AT&T ROM is gimped, bloated trash. And the same holds true for any OTAs that will be released. Unlocked bootloader, with root and a custom ROM is far superior.

Thank you GermanGuy for the links!
Yeah I want to be able to go back to stock for whenever I sell/trade the device. Also, I was thinking about cancelling my AT&T plan and migrating my phone over to a different carrier like straight talk. I haven't done that before so I don't know if switching to a different carrier becomes harder if I am on a custom rom.

The phone can never be returned to truly stock, in that once the bootloader is unlocked HTC will always have a record of that, linked to the phone's IMEI. Therefore, when selling or trading of the device, you should always disclose to potential buyers that the bootloader was unlocked. Although I agree even with this disclosure, some buyers may want the phone to be as stock as possible.
On some previous HTC devices, the SIM unlock code only worked on Sense based ROMs (but not AOSP) but it didn't matter if it was a custom or stock Sense ROM. I don't see any other reason why being on a custom ROM would affect you switching carriers. Its a smartphone, and works like any other regardless of whether its on a stock or custom ROM. In fact, being on a custom ROM may even make that experience easier, as custom ROMs tend to have multiple carrier APNs pre-configured; and also some features such as personal WiFi hotspot/tethering which are blocked by AT&T (without the proper data plan) are easier to get working on other carriers using a custom ROM.
In any case, the previously linked RUU is what you need to return to (close to) stock.
Hi Folks,
Been reading alot of different threads and searching the net. I see some of the sellers on e bay have roms with google play store and multi languages pre installled. From what i gather these seem to be a custom rom and not the global rom. (which has me thinking is the bootloader unlocked on these ones?)
Are there any disadvantages to buying these? will the rom get OTA updates( probably not) ? will they contain more bloatware than the stock original rom?
So should I buy stock rom? Then upgrade to the Global rom for the english and to get rid of any chinese stuff on the phone?
If i want to install custom roms, then i gather the best way is to request via the mi link to have bootloader unlocked and flash to the developer ROM.
i have read a few different ways, users maybe bricking phones. So want to ensure I do things right from the start.
Any advice is most welcome.

1.bootloader is not unlocked
2.all phones, which don't come from mi.com have custom roms installed and you will not receive OTA upadtes in future, but you can install original MIUI Global Rom.It don't care if they contain bloatware, you will flash new rom
3.you don't need to buy sotware,it is free from miui forum
4.i don't recommend you to unlock bootloader and to install custom roms;too many people around us cry after this action.Stay with original rom and you will don't have problems
P.S:i suggest you to buy from trustworthy reseller and not from Ebay or untrusted sources, easy you can receive a fake device.
Thanks for the tips, one final question as a lot of the flashing process seems to be all over the place or conflicting information.
If I had a stock version rom and a custom rom , do both require for the boot loader to be unlocked to flash to the global rom? Basically I just want the global rom, that will get updates and just install google services . It's a phone for the wife. Don't want a lot of bother. So in just trying to force a reliable seller and gather whether I need to request to get the boot loader unlocked or not.
There is a way to flash roms with locked bootloader. Just having vendor rom doesn't necessarily mean the bootloader is unlocked.
Vendor ROMs or unofficial MIUI ROM might have malware/bloatware pre-installed. I myself prefer official ROM unless the customized ROM is from well recognized developer.
If you'd like to have global rom, then you should buy the redmi note 3 with qualcomm cpu, aka redmi note 3 pro.

You can install Global Rom even the bootloader is locked(mine is locked);global rom have google services preinstalled, you don't need to install nothing related to Google apps. The phone is very good and speedy and nice. One more timeON'T UNLOCK BOOTLOADER.Think a litlle and ask your self:Why Xioami had to invest more money in extra security?

Which custom rom would you guys recommend on the X722 if choosing between
-LINEAGE 14.1
-PARANOID ANDROID 7.3
-GENESYS 26S
-FULL AROMA 20S
I am using stock EMUI now 26S and it's driving me crazy with play store keeps errorring and restarting and the stupid browser. Also i think it uses a lot of RAM.
Let me know what you think
If you're using stock 26s on the x722, are you sure you'll be able to flash another ROM without issue? Doesn't the stock 26s ROM lock the bootloader down, causing a brick the moment you try to flash any file from stock recovery (TWRP or ROM)? Or are you running the developer version of 26s? I heard the developer version doesn't lock the bootloader down but I'm not 100% sure. All I do know is that quite a few people here have tried flashing stuff over 26s, which has resulted in near-permanent bricks (see the brick thread in this sub-forum). Please correct me if I'm wrong
As for the Play Store errors, not sure why you're getting those. Did you install the Play Store after installing the ROM?

My stock version is EUI 5.9.026S , I really hope this ROM could be changed since it's not working as flawlessly as expected..
For some reason the phone just doesn't work like a 820 chip should work. Neither the stock rom, modified stock. The custom roms based on lineage, paranoid rom are better, but still not as good as the 820 chip phones I tested with the same roms. I don't know if it is software or hardware. I am thinking slow storage...
Rom is EUI, not EMUI.
There is no 026 dev rom
026 stock can be downgraded to 001D rom through stock recovery and then you can flash all these roms.
Anyway, this is a poll topic and you can find a better place to discuss basis stuff
I am running stock EUI 5.8.20S everything is ok, battery is fine., no notifications show though
I tried stock rom Genesys 5.9.26S and Aicp Nougat but came back to 5.8.20S for now.
Notifications can be set - google for EUI notifications problem

Hey Dakok, been following you since the coolpad f1 days on modaco. Thinking about getting this phone. Does the Google HDR+ camera mod work on the elite model?
Also, do you have any personal recommendations on a reliable rom without bugs?
Yes it does. I think that there is a modified one that works with EUI and another one for custom 7.1 roms.
I am on stock 026s EUI yet, so I can't test any but there are many reports that it works fine.
Genesys 26s by Steve Mars is the most reliable rom IMHO.
Paranoid and AICP have minor bugs, otherwise very usable.

You mean that you cannot do it because of 026s EUI? or you just didn't try to downgrade yourself yet?
I was checking for downgrading from stock 0.26 s but it's impossible finding information on the web
I found this portugese video on youtube but i dont know exactly what he is doing there, also the links people refer to from the leeco forum have been taken down..
I cached the links and i find this (click)
But still very hard to understand what they do, could someone make it more explainable how to change with X722 from
EUI version 5.9.026S (Stable) (bought like this) -> version 20s (001D)-> to finally put on Paranoid android 7.3.1 on it? Is it even possible? I really don't want to brick my phone here..
Or should I open a new topic since the other legit ones are closed..
Thanks for everybody putting effort in trying this phone to be customized!
Batyan, a guy from russian 4PDA forum got the archive with two roms.
The first one is a developer EUI rom identified as WIXCNFN5800106140D or 01D (short).
It flashes through phone stock recovery.
The other is Banggood vendor EUI rom 020s, cleaned from China stuff.
This one flashes through fastboot.
01D rom is great since it is the only way to move from stock 026s EUI since it has locked bootloader and you can't do anything to replace recovery, make root or flash another rom.
So. Put that 01D (update.zip) in your phone and flash it through stock recovery (key combination or through phone settings or manager, not sure)
Or you can start it from EUI file manager (not sure).
Now you have 01D rom, you have unlocked bootloader and you can flash any other custom rom.
My advice is to flash Genesys 026s first since it is EUI 026s and it may be good to have latest
partitions flashed. Later you can try paranoid, aicp...
Don't flash lineage 15 (oreo) since it may make some problems regarding partitions.
Use CrisBal TWRP since it seems to be the most compatible.

The only way to "hard" brick it is to flash stock 026s through twrp.
Paranoid but a little bit hard to do it for noobs, probably.
Poll Is corrupt
If paranoid ROM is the best... Then I'm a lepracon with lepra....
Its slow as hell, typing this takes ages... When I press a letter 7 seconds late it response... When some one called me I need to press 1100000 times before this ROM gives a reaction...
Also the builder doesn't respond to my mail. So, its what it is. Just a crappy ROM.

Hi!
Before attempting anything I wanted to ask this here:
I have a non-rooted, completely stock Mi Pad 4 bought from Gearbest. It is the international version (Model name: M1806D9W) that came with Google Apps, already with english language, etc. It currently runs MIUI Global 9.6 | Stable 9.6.7.0.0(ODJCNFD) (Android 8.1.0 OPM1.171019.019)
I read online that MIUI 10 should be available for global versions which I think mine is? But yet system updates tell me there are no updates available.
So here's my question: What is the simplest most straightforward way to upgrade to MIUI 10?
I see I can download ROMs from threads here and other places online but I want to make 100% sure of which one should I get.
Bonus question: Any way of backuping everything so I don't have to re-install, reconfigure, re-place my apps icons, etc?
Thanks so much!
pretty sure the international version that your reseller claim is false.. there are no international version now.. they probably loaded an "international modified" rom .. highly recommend you to flash xiaomi EU rom already comes with prebuilt playstore if you ur bootloader is already unlocked. if not, flash official chinese miui 10 rom and they are many guides to get playstore on chinese rom as well.

This is the one I need right? https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-pad-4/how-to/rom-miui-10-xiaomi-eu-links-t3864882
Also is there any way of restoring my apps, settings, etc like it is on MIUI 9 right now? OR will I really need to start all over again?
EDIT: I don't believe my Mi Pad 4 is rooted. This seems like good instructions on how to root it and flash a new rom? https://en.miui.com/thread-3196420-1-1.html
Thanks so much!
i just flashed my mi pad 4 . It had the same rom, just modified rom to include the playstore,
The bootloader is already unlocked.
just boot to fast boot. volume key + power
flash twrp - i used twrp installer bat from here en.miui.com/thread-3196420-1-1.html
once boots twrp, then flash miui 10 - androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=281632
job done.

yeah the link is correct, with xiaomi Eu rom you can still get official updates, maybe just slight delay from official chinese stream. but that's the best support we have so far for international miui roms now. the check update seems to be quite buggy on xiaomi eu rom, sometime it downloads but fails on completion.. just try again.. 2nd try is the charm as always haha. if not you can download the rom and dirty flash no problem, i was on beta previously so maybe thats why.
highly recommend you to start from fresh.. migrating over apps may result in bug occurrence.
Hello. I came here for help. As i no longer focusing for phone rooting, i'm not able to switch back to stock rom for Mi 9T. Currently i have old MIUI 10.5 by xiaomi.eu 9.8.1 . I want to switch back to stock, most up to date version of ROM for this phone. I would like to ask how to do it. I'm pretty sure i need to update my firmware before flashing latest stock rom but i don't know which firmware. Can somebody post here up to date manual with steps how to do it? I also know about some MIUI program for Windows that can help but i saw many times it just hard bricked the device. I would appreciate some experienced user to tell me what to do.
I'm really sorry to ask here for this (newbie help) but as i said, i'm out of it for like 2 years now.
PS: It would be nice to don't have anti-rollback protection (just in case)

This guide should help you. This is for locked bootloaders but the main procedure is almost the same:
[GUIDE] Flash Official Xiaomi Firmwares with a locked bootloader GLOBAL/CN
Hi, in this guide I will show you how to flash different official firmware (Global and CN) without having to unlock the bootloader. DISCLAIMER: Just to be sure, I am not responsible for any bricks or damage to your smartphone. Use this guide at...
forum.xda-developers.com
