With Reason and short review. so other also can test that rom.
my Personnel Favorite rom is Miui Eu version because of its own taste and MIUI stock features.
PE and Evolution are also Simply Awesome.

My favorite ROM is GZOSP. However, since I couldn't find it for Redmi K20 pro, I settled down with another of my favorite ROM, Pixel Experience. But instead of flashing the regular edition, I chose the Plus edition just to get a little bit more customization. The reason I chose Pixel Experience over other custom ROMs is because of the aesthetic and pixel like experience that comes with minimal customizations (I like ROMs with minimal customizations) and some additional goodies from Google. Performance is good as well. Most importantly, the developer of the ROM; Henrique is a good friend of mine and is a very active developer. He takes feedback constantly and try to eradicate bugs/issues immediately.
Miui.eu, because all of the AOSP roms share the same bugs. Such as the home gesture not working in the recents area when you hide the gesture bar. MIUI also has a much nicer status area. It also better integrates with my smart home devices and tells me the battery charge of my wireless Xiaomi airbuds.
Which rom support sRGB color mod?

So what's the best custom miui Rom?
So far i tested a few Roms(EvoX, Aosip, Los, Havoc) and Aosip looks so far the best.
No bugs, no problems (just after 5 months of dirty flasing it got necassary to do a clean install because of random reboots), it seems to be the best optimized and lightest rom but still has enough customization for me.
Beside the good battery, aswell performance feels awesome like chrome scrolling is super smooth (on los and havoc it feels laggy, evox i dont remember).
I dont play hardcore games, but pogo feels aswell smoother on Aosip then on other roms, i just played 1-2 times cod but only on aosip and it was smooth.
May i gonna try AICP next, looks promising too.

Isn't this a bit short ? The shortest possible advertisement maybe.
I use it too, mainly because I don't want gapps and like long battery life. The latest version gives me about 6 days (I never wait that long because I keep my battery between 50 and 80%). The previous version gave me about 9 days of light use.
The last Havoc os unofficial fan service build (26/09) takes the cake for me. This version is after everything got polished up in official so before closing the project the dev decided to add a few unofficial features (like the option to disable night light for the FOD).
The rom is flawless, battery life is great, tons of options, no bugs whatsoever (except for one in the shady launcher where google now feed gets zoomed in every now and then, but that is really minor), the fingerprint reader is blazing fast in this build. All in all, among the best custom rom experiences I've had, and I've had around 10 different devices running custom aosp roms by now.
Also, there is a gapps version of the rom so you don't have to flash your own and them being included means much better compatibility than flashing nano gapps for example.

+1, hands down the best ROM. I'm still using it with NikGapps. ROM is so stable, I don't feel the urge to move to android 11

I also like RR for it's customizations, but for me personally, havoc comes out in top. It's cleaner.
I've just tried Aosip for the week, and it's riddled with bugs. Gesture issues with recents. Wifi dropping out. Hangups in recents. Crashing apps. Average battery life. ?
crDroid 6.10
I've been using it almost 2 months and it has everything I need in a custom rom: call recording, smart charging, blink flashlight, screen cast working, remove location and microphone status bar icons, default launcher (double tap to sleep, icon changer), among other great customizations.
Bugs? I really don't look for bugs, but I was having cracking sound bug in games and notifications, but I fix it by flashing F1xy kernel.
It's a really great rom, its EOL, but I don't need the latest security patches and the same developer is already working in A11 rom, so I'll keep an eye on that.

Hi all,
I have the X829 since some days, have TWRP installed, had some problems because I wiped the whole phone, rescued it with Cuoco Fastboot...
So, by having these troubles, I discovered there are a lot of roms for Le Max 2.
Therewhile, I am curious what " the best " rom is, why and where to download...
Every ROM has it's ups and downs the EUI roms for example are running on android 6.0, have a great battery life, are a little hard to get used to... Meanwhile the Nougat ROMS like ResurrectionRemix, LineageOS, Cuoco, Hexagon... are often updated, but they contain a few buggs ex.: Camera trouble, Volte, Speakerphone noise, camera flash... If you're a performance nut and just want to get huge antutu scores then I'd suggest you go with RR,LOS.

Hey hey, I want the best performance for use, not for some benchmark / antutu scores...
Then if you're comfortable using EUI I would definitely recommend small EUI by Auriel or Cuoco92's ROM.
Heyyo, hmm depends on your definition of best heh.
For staying up to date? Nougat ROMs have that but are also the least stable and not all features work properly for everyone (ie, VoLTE, Bluetooth, audio and camera issues. Vulkan also doesn't work).
If you like ASOP for a pure Android experience similar to Nexus and Pixel? Dark Unicorn or Pure Nexus Project are the two best choices for that with Pure Nexus Project being the closer to stock Android. Both should only be flashed with DU Bean Gapps and not OpenGapps.
If you want the most customized? Resurrection Remix is great for that but it has some major changes to doze so notifications do take a back seat when in doze mode. OpenGapps is recommended for this ROM.
If you want the most stable with all current features working? Stick with a Marshmallow based ROM like Mokee MM historical. RR has a MM build but I've read some people having issues with it so I'd probably avoid it for now.
I would recommend Linage it's bar the smoothest, few small bugs and not as customizable as Resurrection Remix.

I actually prefer LineageOS to RR, only because of the launcher and the icons look nicer xD
If you need working ViLTE and VoWLAN then NA 16s is probably still the best option for now. Custom roms are still working on getting that working. However it has effectively disabled notifications so you would need to go into the secret menu and turn it back on.
The one that works is the best one!
Cuoco92.

Hi everyone, after upgrading my redmi 5 plus to MIUI 10 and still disappointed about how notifications are handled, I am ready to make the big jump to pie custom roms(yes this is my first xiaomi device and attempt to flash a custom rom). I have narrowed my choice to Pixel Experience Pie vs AOSP Extended V6, which would you recommend to be as stable as MIUI? I am leaning towards Pixel Experience Pie but I am intrigued by how popular AOSP Extended V6 has become. I am also open to any other pie custom rom option that I am not aware of. I am NOT a customisations buff, I just want stability and best battery performance . Looking forward to any your suggestions, thanks
I would recommend PE-Extended as i am using it from day one and its amazing and stable rom with nice battery life.
P.S i only tried first two builds of AOSP Extended so i wouldn't know.

Wow thanks for your perspective, I may just have to download and test any roms I fancy to see for my self how they are.
Pixel Experience Vs AOSP Extended: Which OS provides better incremental OTA updates ?
Pls suggest me a good pie rom with decent customization and performance. I need to use it daily.

Pixel experience pie with 5fth feb 2019 latest update.best for battery nor customization.

Well you will only get suggestions based on people's review, I recommend you to either use AOSPExtended for good perfomance and battery, i also warn DO NOT USE HAVOC OS, there are several good features in AEX that can satisfy your needs.
Pixel Experience only lacks those customisation it has good battery and performance, however you can use substratum themes, just get a free one but paid ones are the best.
Resurrection Remix Pie, is in beta(there are like 2 new builds). You might get some bugs in it so just let developers take their time to fix bugs and make that ROM stable.
Nitrogen OS, is recommended by many users. I haven't personally tried it yet, try checking KTNTECH VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE. He makes rom videos on Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 5, check his videos they are good and helpful in selecting ROM.
Hello Everybody,
The idea behind this thread is to share our experience with costum roms avialable for our device.
To keep it clean I suggest to put exact version of os we're on to avoid comments like "it works for me".
Hope that will help to clear current situation in dev stage.
My current costum-ish one is xiaomi.eu 11.0.3 Stable. As name suggest it's rock solid, miui on top so we can love or hate it, however as it's based on xiaomi software I do not experienced any bugs so far.
I am on stock ROM now MIUI 11 / Android 9. Looking for an opportunity to switch on Android 10 ROM, which have amoled black theme for most of apps in dark mode. Current ROM (stock) even don't have black theme for youtube. So any suggestions are considerable.

MIUIMIX Beta/Weekly.
1 - MIUI in my opinon is superior to AOSP and Lineage, better battery, fit to the hardware.
2 - Updated to the latest and greatest that Xiaomi want on the phone
3 - Very stable, even if the Beta
I don't want my ROMs to wear costumes.
I ran xiaomi.eu with android 10, paranoid alpha 2, evolution x3.3/3.4, pixel experience, all android 10. Best ones are evolution x and paranoid alpha, (pixel experience couldnt play audio on youtube? And videos were stuttering while playback). If you want to be on the safe side, just use xiaomi.eu with android 10, but if you want to try something out, try evo x
Paranoid Android Alpha 2 (Android Q) for me. Very stable, buttery smooth, kickass battery life. If customization is not your priority (but performance is), Paranoid Android takes the cake for me. Cheers.
try RR remix Pie it has minimal to zero bugs, dark mode, lots of customization combined with butterfly kernel v5 and you can use it as a daily driver. i've try miui eu and other custom roms but RR is very stable and it has a good battery back up.

Hella Rom, pretty good battery life. No bugs, really snappy. Running the last release based in 12.05 Miui release. Tuned to my taste.

Oh. I meant nevermind as I had wrongly posted in this thread.
Anyway crDroid offers a ton of customization and yet is very stable. Currently on Q builds (6.4). I have used crDroid for the past 7 months without any notable issue. No random reboots, system hanging or app freezing/crashes. Performance is very good and battery backup is excellent.

At present pretty much any rom based on Android 10 is stable.
Reloaded OS - performance and battery backup is great as it is a CAF rom. It has minimal but useful customization.
Pixel Experience - There are two variants. One is normal (just stock pixel phone) and the other is plus edition which offers some useful customization. Built-in kernel is okay-ish so better flash another kernel.
Pixel Rom - Authentic Pixel Port. Change kernel for better performance.
Arrow OS
Roms with customization overhaul - Evolution X, Crdroid, Aosip Derpfest, Corvus, Havoc OS and many others.
always prefer try every rom but here's some suggesstion for you
pixel experience because it is very stable and no bloatware also lineage os but for now the android 10 version is not that stable so choose your drug.
Ancient os

Fewer customisations don't necessarily mean better experience on other aspects.
This being said, PIXEL EXPERIENCE has the fewest customisations of all. It's stable too.
