its not open source man.
That's something that will not happen... Like someone has already said it's not open source. Try resurrection remix and customize the way you want or flash Lineage and enjoy stability.

Yeah that's because OnePlus had published the source code for one of the OOS which ran on android 6.0.1 on Github, mostly that of OPO or OPX am not sure. But the recent versions are not opened sourced at least not yet, so no one will be interested in developing a ROM based on android 6.0 when android 8.0 development is at full swing.

Hi all, my question is, it's safe to flash a custom kernel over a MIUI stock rom (MIUI 10.2.3.0, oreo, see screenshot below)
If yes, any suggestion about a custom kernel optimized for long lasting battery improve?
Thanks a lot!
Most of the custom kernels are for AOSP based roms. You cannot flash them in stock MIUI... look for kernels which are compatible with MIUI...

Which version for miui oreo stock global?
I am a sucker when it comes to AOSP and would love to have atleast one fully working AOSP ROM for my A205F. I have used LOS 16 GSI [UNOFFICIAL] in the past. Everything worked flawlessly on the ROM except that the fingerprint didn't have a gesture control to bring down the notification panel and there was no MTP support. I'd like to know if anyone is going to be cooking up a STABLE LOS ROM for our device?
Sorry I don't know either,
But Me too I love Lineage OS, and I've been checking their website every week since I got this phone hoping that the A20 is finally supported ^_^ ? but nothing ?
Can I ask you how is the battery on the LOS GSI rom ?

Everything was better with that GSI (Even thou is was unofficial bro) the fingerprint sensor even worked like x2 faster . You can't beat the speed of clean android. We won't be officially supported anytime soon bro , don't count on it. Someone will have to bake a unofficial custom rom for us.

I'm not using it anymore, I've stated the reasons why in the first post.
If you're interested here's the guide that I followed :

I know it may say "A40" but its the same one I used on my A20 (SM-A205F)

When I enquired on some problems on the LineageOS Telegram group they said that they didn't have an official GSI out
Yes it's an unofficial gsi made by some guy named Andy, it's not theirs, so they can't provide support.. and as you know problems are meant to happen for a gsi..
Unfortunately A20 don't have enough custom roms available for us to choose from, like Lineage os, paranoid android, Resurrection remix rom, or some pure aosp roms..
This device despite of having such a great processor is dying because of its ugly color os 6 It badly needs either pixel experience or havoc os custom rom
There is LineageOS 16.0. Check my thread

there are 2,or 3 major reasons this device has no custom rom yet..
1. after 1 yr its bootloader source code is released publically by realme 1 which down the interest of dev's in this device..
2. Its processor Based on MTK which is very risky for rooting and all the custome stuffs
3. yet there is no way to bring inbuilt volte in custome roms, devices based on mtk chipsets
becoz of proprietary issue..

Now i got my doubts cleared
At earler this device was very poweful but as the time passed realme made this device to work a bit slower
And color is really sucks
Well i would be happy if any dev could provide havoc os 3.0 or pixel experience custom rom now for this device
I"ll be eagerly waiting?

1.They just released it and never updated it. So forced to use deprecated prebuilt kernel.
2.Its not risky only because of MTK, but also the OEM is not helping in it. Realme yet to release the tool.
3. VoLTE can be ignored if you have a Stable ROM to get rid of ColorOS.

They both are AOSP based ROMs, if we get AOSP then we can get any of these.

Can i expect any aosp rom in upcoming months for this phone?
As this phone is surely gonna die
Because realme has officially declared that this device won't be geeting any realme ui update
And the worst part is Its color os 6.0 will be the version on which this device has to survive with
