Is there a way to keep the notifications scrolling on the cover display until you're finished?? Also my edge lighting Doesn't come on. Any help developers?

Galaxy S2 had this nice feature where you could adjust the screen backlight by sliding the finger left or right on the top bar.
The main need for this comes from a way too agressive backlight adjustment when in auto. Raising the level in normal lighting condition would be a different solution to the problem I guess.
Hope it's doable on S3?
Anyone know what program the eye is in the screen shot? it appears and disappears... anyone know what it is? or how to get rid of it?
Samsung feature
Looks like you probably have a Samsung phone. This is an indicator that Smart Stay is working. Supposedly, the front-facing camera is tracking your eyes. If you're looking at the screen, it's supposed to keep the screen on, rather than letting the screen timeout as it usually does.
The text on the edge screen (information stream and night clock) is flipped in the opposite direction. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Anyone know how to fix it? Thanks in advance!
Screen rotation is still active when the edge notifications are on so you just have to tilt the phone to the orientation you wish to view it at, then place it on a level surface and it should stay that way. Another possible way would be to turn rotation off, but haven't tried that.

ok so i used the note edge for a little bit. i know the s6 edge isn't as functional as the note edge. but i know when i use to do the rub down the side on the note the clock would light up for a minute then it would automatically go into scroll mode with my notifications and feeds. is this not the case with the s6 edge and s6 edge plus? kind of a pretty big let down. i have to rub then swipe every time i want to check my notifications with the screen off?
is very poor of light this function... in galaxy s7 edge it is more visible in outdoor... how can i set??? thanks
