Hi i am writing this after i dont know how many threads i read, how many videos i saw especially after the noob video.
But all fail i need to ask the masterminds,
i was trying to back up the ROM and one of the guides stated to use nvflash for full recovery i tried to follow that but after shutting the tab down in recovery mode.
its not turning on at all, its not even getting detected to windows 7 or linux ubuntu.
i just bought this tab today and i badly need help
so please help.
i am sure i rooted the tablet.
but havent installed any roms on it.
thank you for any help
you're getting a bump because I am in a similar situation.
I had VeganGinger on my tab. Was tired of the market crashes and was going to NVFlash back to the original and *possibly* go to the Flshback Honeycomb.
However after following all the instructions for NVFlash my tab was stuck in the boot loading screen. I tried to power off and boot into Clockwork Recovery Mode based on the Gtab for dummies site. however it would not do that. So I also followed suggestions to flash again. This time it seemed that the bat that ran on my computer ran more stuff (great terminology I know - sorry). I figured, hey - maybe it was a bad install. but alas, it did the same thing.
Again, following Gtab for dummies, I tried their NVFlash file. Same deal. However here is where I hard bricked. stuck in the loop again. Can't leave it like that forever. So I powered down. Now it won't do anything. Nada - zilch - zero.
So now you know my whole sad saga.
So I now have a piece of worthless plastic?
I would GREATLY appreciate any help!
Oh - and darn if I wasn't worried about running out of battery while putting a new ROM on there, so the battery was finishing charging shortly before the brick.
I got my TF201 back yesterday from Asus after 1-2 months after I sent it in to see if anything can be done about the cracked screen issue... nothing.
The first thing I did when I got it back was update apps, backup apps, and then I decided to install 'AndroWook Prime Hairy Bean', so I downloaded it onto my Prime, went into ROM Manager, found an update for ClockworkMod, which I installed. I then proceeded to select the ROM to be installed, ticked back up current rom (Cyanogenmod 10 Unofficial), and wipe data, and clicked enter.
When I opened up recovery, it came up with TWRP, and did nothing, so I went to backup my ROM but didn't have enough data.
I tried to re-install an older ClockworkMod as I prefer it, and tried to connect with fastboot, and then followed instructions, but got a bit lost... (I'm 13..) Tried again, failed..
This bit is a bit of a blur, but I believe I tried to open up Recovery again, didn't work so I loaded up an app (Transformer reboot to Recovery), which hung on loading up recovery, did Vol-Down and rebooted..
I think it was then that it displayed the Splash Screen and hung, with 'The Device is UnLocked.' in the top left corner, ASUS logo in centre and NVidia Tegra bottom right..
Researched online and found no results.. I don't have NVFlash, but I'm curious as to whether this will work: androidroot .mobi/2012/05/27/introducing-wheelie-nvflash-for-asus-transformer-tf101-b70 as my laptop displays APX.
I appreciate any responses, this is all so daunting for me and I don't know what to do..

I don't like the sound of this. If you flashed an ICS recovery on there (which I think you have with clockworkmod) after having the jellybean bootloader on there (which I think you do because nVidia logo is bottom right) then you might be hard bricked.
Hold down power and volume down for 10 seconds when off. If you do not get to the screen with icons on like usb icon and wipe icon and you cannot enter recovery then I'm afraid you are hard bricked.
Thanks... *curls up into a ball and cries to death* What can I do now? Anywhere I can sell it or what..?
Did you have any luck getting to fastboot? If you failed flashing clockworkmod you might still have a chance.
Not that I know of.. just recognises APX on laptop..
Looks like you are hard bricked. As you said you don't have NVFlash so APX mode is unusable for you (you have to have files generated just for your device to be able to use APX).
If you could get into fastboot, you could have change of fixing it.
You can send it to Asus to have it fixed and pay for it ~260$ I think - look somewhere on Q&A forum, or sell it as bricked to someone who has broken his screen on ebay (or other site). Or you can have it as pretty expensive paper weight, sorry.
I did the exact same thing you did man. Was looking for an answer when I saw this thread...lol
EDIT: Also what is APX? Just got my Prime last week haha
I really hate to hear that this happened to you guys. FYI: a bricked Prime usually goes for between 150 and 200 bucks on eBay, depending on its condition.
I know that's not fantastic news, but at least you could put that towards a new tablet.
Or you could naturally pay Asus to repair it.
Sent from my Galaxy Note 2

I just unlocked and installed Androwook1.51 last night. No problems once I realized I had to wipe data since my prime had been encrypted under stock 4.1.1 But I figured that as long as I could get into TWRP I was probably OK, right?

Oh.. It has suffered from the cracked screen issue and I've broken the Micro HDMI slot by tripping over the wire :L
How much would it cost for those two to be fixed, along with the splash screen issue?
I apologize in advance if this is the wrong section, but I am a brand new member and can't post in the developers' section if I was supposed to. Also, I need help ASAP
So I rooted my AT&T LG Optimus G with no problem. Then went to unlock the bootloader. I decided to pay the dollar to get the app that does it for you. So I ran it and it said I successfully unlocked my device. Well I went to reboot into fastboot mode and the LG logo flashed on my screen and just went to black. It won't do anything more than that. I can't get into recover, fastboot, or any other screen. That's it. Am I SOL? Did I really mess my device up?
Please help! Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I have no idea what I did but somehow managed to boot into fastboot mode and went to CWM and installed The Base just fine. I have no idea what happened but I am soooooo happy right now.
EDIT 2: Maybe I spoke too soon. I started running "The Base" and went it prompted me saying it's gonna restart my device, it did and the screen is black again (The same black that appeared after my LG logo from before)
EDIT 3: So I decided to run it again and this time, I picked the other kernel. It booted up fine this time. All is well.
If you run into anymore problems, there is a program available in this irc channel. It is used to restore a bricked phone.

Hey lovely ladies and gents,
So here is the situation: I have an LG Optimus l70 MS323, which until yesterday was with a stock ROM. I banged my head against the wall, trying desperately to follow a guide and root it, along with trying to unlock the bootloader until I watched a video (in Spanish. Thank you high school spanish!) which used flashify to flash a CWM and boot to the custom recovery. I loved it, since that meant that I would be able to finally flash an official Cyanogenmod OS. The first ROM that I flashed was cm-13.0-20160121-NIGHTLY-w5.zip, which worked and made me feel SO HAPPY (I almost yelled Eurika for the sake of historical comedy). I then went ahead and installed an Superuser-SU binary update through the CWM recovery because I wanted to keep on having root. Then I installed a nano gapps package for ARM, Android 6.0 with some minor complications (mostly the "Setup Wizard" crashing every 2 seconds). I rewiped and reinstalled Cyanogenmod through CWM, flashed gapps on the same go, and made a little backup through the recovery menu. I booted up successfully to be met with that buttery-smooth GUI of Marshmallow (ugh, so good.) I decided to go ahead and fetch some apps from the Play Store, such as Messenger and ROM manager. I saw that the Cyanogenmod Update Center had pushed out a notification that the newest nightly snapshot is already downloaded and decided "Meh. What new features have been added? Let's reboot and reinstall." At that point it was 4:40am (keep in mind that I've been trying to get the goddamn phone to cooperate since ~10pm) and I noticed that the boot sequence takes up a lot longer and told myself "It's probably taking a bit longer than usual, it's normal." I put the phone next to my head, hoping that it's going to be ready to use in the morning.
Fast forward to 8:07 am. Bootloader is still going, phone is so hot it can cook an egg.
GNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH. WHY YOU GOTTA DO DIS TO ME PHONE?!??! WHY!?!
SO, the CURRENT situation:
1. Whenever I press the power button, it starts off normally. According to my definition of bootloop, it's stuck in a bootloop.
After hours of staring that goddamn cyanogenmod mascot do you realize that it's going to boot itself into the booting oblivion.
2. I don't have access to CWM. I have tried holding down the power buttons with godknowswhat combinations (I like to call them the Naruto Jutsu of pure despair). Maybe I should hold the buttons for 2 milliseconds longer and it might work. *Sigh*
3. I don't think that I can use fastbood or adb. My computer doesn't see the phone. (GNAAHHAHASDJFLSKDHFSLJHLKJ.)
4. I am totally clueless about what I should do or try. I've basically softbricked my phone and don't know how to unbrick it.
So, now that you see that saying that I'm frustrated is truly an understatement, what do you suggest I do?
In advance, I'd like to thank you SO MUCH for even giving a sh!t about my problem.
Other misc info: I have a 32GB SD card on which I have all the different tools I have used throughout this journey.
I am willing to have it back on stock ROM. My biggest goal is to somehow boot into CWM recovery. From there on, I will be able to deal with it. Until I come back to this forum, begging for mercy.
Have u tried using LG suite or LGUP u need to go to LG 's firmware page I'm not sure about this phone but it worked w my k7 about 100 times also helped unlock it. Check out the LG k7 forum lots of guys on there that use the lgup program and can help
Hi there,
I'm hoping someone can help me. I bought a second hand Samsung J7. It seemed to work fine but then when I had to restart the phone when it was at about 28% battery, it would start to boot and then turn off, I had to charge it to bring it back on. After this happening a number of times I looked for some help online and was advised to do a soft reset. When I did this, the phone came on and had a page entitled "Unmodified System Partition" again I looked this up and it appears that the phone has been rooted and TWRP has been installed.
Is there a way of getting rid of anything the previous owner did and get the phone up and running for a noob to use, as if bought brand new? And could the restart/battery issue be related or should I get a new battery?
I'm not tech savy, but I'm not a technophobe either, and any help I would really appreciated, so my son can have his first phone!
Thank you for taking the time to read.
Kindest regards xx

Your phone is in a boot loop because the previous owner messed something up. You can either flash a stock ROM via Odin or an easier way since you have TWRP installed is flash a custom ROM found on XDA. Make sure to read the info and the install instruction involve flashing with TWRP. Custom ROM can be found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7-2017/development. I looked really quick this one is easy to install: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7-2017/development/rom-cleanoreov1-t3875903
