Use Lenovo rescue (LMSA) and restore
and if LMSA is not able to fix it, there might be a hardware issue , maybe corrupted ram? so i'd say return it for warranty.
the system should not suddenly stop working without manually breaking some stuff
does not work, fastboot single partition error
The LMSA does not work, a single partition fastboot error appears and new updated rom's stock. someone help me!
I have the same problem. Tried to install a stock rom, then i did "fastboot oem lock", now i get the message "your device is corrupted. It cannot be trusted and will not boot". In the Fastboot Flash Mode it shows "Flashing... Locked".
Tried to run Fastboot oem unlock <Code Provided>, but i get the error:
(bootloader) Check 'OEM unlocking' in Android Settings > Developer
(bootloader) Options
FAILED (remote failure)
finished. total time: 0.011s
Tried to boot most recent Stock Rom, but get "Permission Denied" errors.
Tried Lenovo Resue but it fails at 50%. Log shows access denied errors.

Hello everyone,
My Moto Z TX1650 was updated automatically by OTA, restart by itself and - bricked. (awesome job, Moto.)
I was going through a maze of topics until I found the blankflash script that actually owrked and made my phone trun on in fastboot again. It was in black screen no signal whatsoever even for charger - I though it was dead, but aint. (i´m posting here the blankflash used so anyone is facing the very same issue)
script to bring back your phone from dead - https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4372614&d=1514473892
But now my phone is oem_locked, I dont have system (ROM) functional to enable oem in developer mode, and I cannot jump into any menu - Recovery Mode, for example, to try t o bootup using ADB, for there´s nothing in those partitions.
Recovery Mode
Startup Failed
Your device didnt start up correctly.
I´m trying to use fastboot oem unlock, I have the code, but in the end asked me to unlock it in the system.
Well if I had a system to boot into, i wasnt even trying to unlock it.
Anyone got any suggestion on how to unlock my phone OEM through fastboot only?
Thank you all.

You must flash a Fastboot Image with the System that was last installed on your smartphone with the right Bootloader Version or upgrade your Bootloader with the upcoming Oreo Fastboot Image.

so did you get it fixed or not ? I have exactly the same story
I have the same problem with my g9 play, take it to the technical assistance but they said they couldnt repair once it was not in warranty and the factory only send the motherboard if my phone was in warranty
Same problem here on Edge 20 pro, phone is bootlooping and tried to flash via fastboot with these commands but get failed on bootloader flash: Think this is due to bootloader locked. Can I bypass this verification somehow? Can I unlock bootloader without access to OEM unlock toggle in developer options. I have access only to fastboot. Anyway to unbrick this wonderful phone ?

Hi all,
I have a Moto G6Plus with a locked bootloader. I have had it from new, bought SIM free from a retailer in a sealed box. It went back whilst under warranty stuck in a bootloop following a failed OTA update. It has worked flawlessly since then. It's now out of warranty and no longer supported so i figured I would install a custom ROM. I have some experience, having rooted and custom ROM'd HTCs in the past, as well as my previous G6 plus.
So here's the situation. I am using Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon. I have also tried a Win 10 box and Linux mint 19.3, 3 different machines I have USB debugging and the allow bootloader unlocking options set in 'Developer Options' menu
Phone is recognised by ADB , and ADB reboot bootloader does boot the phone as expected.
Fastboot devices recognises the device, showing it's serial number with the word fastboot next to it. If I fastboot reboot or fastboot reboot bootloader, then both these commands work.
2 of the 3 machines report an error on fastboot getvar all. The oldest machine does output the following:

Ok thanks. I had already found this but not run it as it seemed to be not compatible with my devise according to the device checker. However as advised I have run it and it did indeed improve the situation. This is Windows only software. Previously I got no output on my Windows machine when running fastboot getvar all. I now get the following output, which has changed from the original I posted above. However, fastboot oem get_unlock_data still fails...

Sorry to highjack this thread, but I'm having a similar problem with the touch not working on twrp. I downloaded my twrp from here, though. Would I be able to upload my vendor folder too?

Do u have the retail version?
Can someone test the attached twrp for the borneo. My laptop is currently out of commission so Im unable to boot it and test it. Place both of the attached files in your fastboot folder. Flash the vbmeta.img first.
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot format userdata
fastboot boot recovery.img
DO NOT 'FASTBOOT FLASH' THE
RECOVERY.IMG
Use the fastboot boot command instead just as it's typed above.

I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS WORKS ON PHONES STILL RUNNING ANDROID 10!
Please tell me if it does.
fastboot boot twrp-3.6.0-11-0-borneo.img
DO NOT FLASH IT TO YOUR PHONE UNLESS YOU HAVE ALREADY BACKED UP IMPORTANT FILES! I have it flashed to my Android 11 updated RETUS and I'm still testing everything. Give me some feedback please and I'll work on fixing anything not working right.
Team Win Recovery Project 3.x, or twrp3 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. Its a fully touch driven user interface no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this recovery
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.

Also, if you boot this up and it doesnt work with your touchscreen, let me know. I'll need a little bit of info from you
1)
with android booted:
adb shell
cd /sys/class/touchscreen
ls
(tell me what it says)
2)
with twrp booted:
adb shell dmesg > dmesg.txt
3)
from fastboot:
fastboot getvar all
(PLEASE SCRUB ANY SENSITIVE INFORMATION FROM ANYTHING YOU POST IN ONLINE FORUMS LIKE IMEI, ETC)
reserved
Can confirm touch works....finally! Unable to confirm if it works on Android 10 but def is working on 11.
Follow-up....touch only seems to work if I just boot twrp from fastboot. Installing it makes touch inoperable again. I know you mentioned in your OP that you were still working kinks out with the install but I was just letting you know.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>adb shell
borneo:/ $ cd /sys/class/touchscreen
borneo:/sys/class/touchscreen $ ls
ilitek
It's not booting on my phone. I'm running Android 10.

Hey thanks I'll look into it. Maybe I'll see if I can flash back to Android 10 and get twrp running for that again.
Also please edit your post and remove your IMEI fr your fastboot command output

Removed IMEI. Thanks for your reply.
Yours is not booting for me on 10 either. But another that is 3.4.0.0 here does. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/working-twrp-but-very-unofficial-but-very-useful.4313665/ But no touch support in it, must use USB-C hub to attach a USB receiver for keyboard mouse, and I can operate it then.
Output of commands you requested from my device

Actually, I upgraded to Android 11 and the recovery works great! I no longer need it for Android 10 Thank you.
Found this one shown at https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-official-twrp-3-5-2-cebu.4279917/ boots on mine perfectly, even supports USB-C hub to USB keyboard mouse receiver, just still no touch. And it's v3.5.2_10-0 versus the 3.4.0-0 I'd been using there. If only I could find the driver for my display, or how to integrate it, I could use AIK to load it myself. But following any guide for that has lead me to dead ends everywhere, and my own exploring too. How'd you get yours loaded for Android 11 to behave? Or is yours yet another display?
OK, easy way found. Android Image Kitchen, and just replaced the entirety of the /vendor/firmware folder with all the bin's from my booted device, and /vendor/lib/modules with anything but audio, that was .ko and booted, it sleeps properly, everything.
So here is my TWRP_3.5.2_10-0-borneo_NVT-ts.img

FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK! I only used fastboot boot for it.

EDIT: alternative version, as initial upload was missing enough FSTAB references that backups and restores were not working well enough. Working now for boot and recovery at least. Still unable to flash but can boot it directly.
Guys i repurposed my first thread here to include build instructions for compiling twrp so hopefully someone will take up the cause of getting twrp android 10 booting and useable. Its really just down to touchscreen and maybe some other small things at this point. I'm working on some other things I think you all will like and hopefully will have some news about things sometime soon.
I'm pretty focused on android 11 based stuff atm and Ill keep plugging away at things but if you would like to collaborate and contribute then all compiling instructions are in this thread:
here
updated op with new twrp android 11 build.
new build is trying to get novatek and focaltech touchscreens working in twrp. Ilitek on my phone with android 11 still works
My novatek seems to be working w it on android 11 (bell/virgin mobile retca) xt2117-4 ... thank you

Also, if you boot this up and it doesnt work with your touchscreen, let me know. I'll need a little bit of info from you
1)
with android booted:
adb shell
cd /sys/class/touchscreen
ls
(tell me what it says)
2)
with twrp booted:
adb shell dmesg > dmesg.txt
3)
from fastboot:
fastboot getvar all
(PLEASE SCRUB ANY SENSITIVE INFORMATION FROM ANYTHING YOU POST IN ONLINE FORUMS LIKE IMEI, ETC)

Hey, touch screen is currently not working on my device. What I can tell you besides what is required is that it's an Unlocked Device from Best Buy and the Model Number is XT2117-4
Anyway, onto the required stuff.
Touchscreen:
Code:

borneo:/sys/class/touchscreen $ ls

TWRP:
I literally cannot get it because when I do the adb shell dmesg > dmesg.txt command, it just tells me my device is not found. I have tried resetting and swapping chargers, even resetting my computer.
