Hi, can you give me the source for Velvet cam port?
I installed it and i only have 3 modes available, so even though a shortcut from the launcher will take story shot and portrait, they are not available in the Camera interface. The camera is much faster I have to admit, but trying to install the initial G8x cam apk fails.
Thanx
check out this new feature after android 11 upgrade :

Hey guys. Could anyone please create a mirror or something for MIUI 8? There IS a version for Nubia N7X available, but the owner uploaded the ROM at Baidu Pan, which download link is terrifying.

Here is the MIUI 8 rom, v. 7.1.6 (Android 6)

I wasn't allowed putting direct link, so you will have to copy to your browser.
I have only mangede to download from baidu. Have fun.
Rom has bugs, sudden restarts, full of chinease bloatware , looks nice but needs fix. I was surprised it worked on ZTE Z7Max. Please fix restarts, remove bloatware and please change that chinease keyboard to Gboard or stock AOSP. Thanks

Yes, it has some bugs, and I presenced some restarts. The chinese bloatware thing can be easily fixed by removing those apps using "System App Remover". It works

there is no problem about Keyboard, but restarts are really annoying. it would be really nice if somebody with skills could fix these problems and upload this ROM here on XDA or to NEEDROM. Thanks anyway :good:
Update: I created a post on needrom so everyone can easely access it. Thanks @Guffeogco for the mirror. I did one as well, so we can get at least a sub mirror
Also, huge kudos to Yayanan for porting an almost stable MIUI for us.

Tutorial
Download the latest version of the rom down below,
if there's a fix for your device varient, download that as well. I will try and merge the fixes on new builds.
In order to install this rom, first of all, if this is your first time, read about it, do some research and understand the consequences. You need an unlocked bootloader, USB debugging enabled and a custom recovery. I recommend TWRP.
Copy the downloaded ROM file and copy it to your device.
Reboot to recovery mode, and use the recovery to get a full backup from your device's current system, data, kernel, etc and make a copy of said backup to your computer. Then, fully wipe Data, Cache, ART cache and system(DO NOT WIPE INTERNAL STORAGE). Then use a recovery file manager or connect the device to your computer and use mtp to delete the folder Android on your device.
Then install the rom, and if you've downloaded fix patches, install them afterwards and then reboot.
When you install the rom, the aroma installer pops up and gives you a set of options for desired Google Apps,
Samsung apps and services. For the Google Apps I recommend installing the wallpapers and Fit since the wallpapers are not on Play Store and Fit performs best as a system app. The rest can be found on Play store.
The services are Dual Sim support, SuperSU root and NFC support. However, you MUST include SuperSU in your choices for now due to a kernel issue. The dual sim support is obviously for the dual sim models and the NFC is optional since it causes battery performance issues on some devices. CHECK IT IF YOU WANT NFC TO BE INSTALLED. Finally the Samsung Apps.
The Samsung apps are Account, which includes the Samsung Galaxy Apps store and Samsung Account which is required for syncing. SAMSUNG Cloud is not included because I think it is a useless battery eating service, but if you need it let me know so I add it as an option for future builds. There are other Samsung services and apps like SNote, SHealth, One Handed Mode, BlueLight Filter, Private Mode, Gallery, Video Player, Voice recorder, MyFiles, Clipboard Service and SPen features. They all pretty much say what they are, the SPen features include air command, spen apps and Snote, and Clipboard Service is Samsung's handy Clipboard Service which I really like.
F.A.Q.[/CENTER]
My device doesn't boot up after 10 minutes of flashing the rom!
If your device's LED light is no longer on and blue, then the issue is with the Settings app, try flashing with a full wipe, restoring your EFS and if it doesn't work out, contact me. If however the blue led is still on, then try and take a log and sending it to me, with your device information.
Which files should I delete prior to installing the ROM?
The only thing you should delete prior to flashing the ROM once in recovery mode is the Android folder in your internal storage.

Amazing.Definitely i will try this. Big thanks mate.

Just like you said, the problem is firstly that your device model isn't in the list I said this ROM supports!
Please do some reading prior to flashing and posting. From now on, with all due respect, I will ignore posts like this.

BlueLight Filter is kernel related and it's again because you're running the rom on another device. If anyone tries this ROM on other devices or varients and finds fixes for the bugs not mentioned, please share them so I may include them in future builds.
*Note: this has been out for a bit now, but I did not see this posted on the forums so hope this is useful for someone*
How-to run Android apps on ChromeOS [WITHOUT Dev mode]
This is for NON-PIXELBOOK owners that DO NOT have Android app support yet.
( Look here if you're device is already supported OR will-be supported: Here. )
Similarly, this allows Android app support WITHOUT developer mode enabled.
( Look here if you want to enable developer mode to support Android apps: Here. )
Instructions:
Download the ARC Welder Chrome OS extension, here.
To find APK files to run, look here.
Then, just simply Test the app.
NOT EVERYTHING WORKS, so do not freak out if it is not working for you. I got a few apps to work so I thought I'd share.
The main purpose of using this over dev channel was that I couldn't stand having to enter a command every time in crosh to enable Android app support on dead-restart, ONTOP of that being in dev channel, which is not stable for my day-to-day usage.
Hit me a Thanks if this helped you! :good:
This was tested using a ASUS C201PA.

Hello Folks,
I'm planning to support the Mi 9 with XASP and i just need the Camera Media Profiles Config File from a AOSP based ROM of Your Device. Could anyone pull it and upload it here for Me!?
Should be in /system/vendor/etc and/or /system/etc...
I'm also searching for a Maintainer for XASP. If someone is interested just PM Me and i'll share the Details with You (You just need to repack/upload from GitHub using a Windows PC or Android Phone once the Month)
Hi, you can find the dump of stock ROM here: https://github.com/TadiT7/xiaomi_cepheus_dump/
Not sure if it changes, but at the moment I'm running GSI AOSP so if you need a dump of the profiles I can upload this one too.

Looks like i have to use and edit all of them. Thinks i want to do are:
-4K Front Camera Video recording
-Higher default Picture Quality by less compression
-Higher default Mem Cap for Picture Processing
-Higher Bitrates for Audio and Video Profiles
-Higher default FPS Rates on Video Recording
And maybe more if i find something interesting... The Profile from Tadi is btw. a awesome Thing for Me. I always had to download full System for a few Files. That makes everything more easy. Thanks again for sharing!
As reading your requirements this will work with PHHs Treble AOSP 9.0 ROM ?
The project sounds interesting, also it mentions that it comes with Magisk, which Magisk Version is included?

PHH Treble AOSP 9 (Vanilla ARM64, NoSU) should be the best Choice
Magisk will come in Stable and Beta (18.1 and 19 right now). Does the Mi 9 has Orange Fox or at least TWRP with working AROMA Support? I have seen Problems with AROMA on the Mi 8 while the Poco F1 can flash the Patch fine (Same Specs and Systems can be used across them). I changed back to AROMA Installers since Magisk Modules are forcing restrictions to the Patch such as Device Security Enhancements and Setup Wizard edits. You can follow Me on GitHub to see what's actually going on.
BR
Can't wait for this! If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

This thread is created in support of Google Camera 7 by Parrot.
Share us your experience and unleash the true power of your camera sensor on RN7PRO aka Violet :highfive:
Capture any lighting condition be it Artificial, Daylight, Nightsight with just one initial setup.
Pre Requisites:
For Android Pie and Q
Clear Storage of any other Gcam mod
Uninstall any other Gcam mod
Install Gcam 7 by Parrot
Load the attached XML (Predefined settings) OR Customise the settings as per your taste
How to load an XML..?
As most of you already know, the XML file is a backup of the settings that you configure on Gcam 7 by Parrot.
To load an XML perform below simple steps.
Open File manager. Goto Internal storage-->GoogleCamera-->ConfigsCamera.
(Note: Folder names are case sensistive, in case you have saved your own settings, the above path will be generated automatically.)
Save the downloaded XML in "ConfigsCamera" folder.
Open the Gcam 7 camera app
Double click on the black space anywhere between Camera buttons below.
Choose the XML
(A drop down menu appears if multiple XMLs are saved, saving the XML with same filename will overwrite older filename).
Hit Restore button, the camera interface will auto-restart and you are ready for use.

FAQ's
Will it work if i am not rooted or with locked bootloader..?
Yes, Camera2api is pre enabled for our device. It should work straighaway on MIUI.
Doesn't work on xyz ROM. What do i do..?
First ensure Camera2api is enabled on your ROM. If yes, flash Gcam7_For_All.zip magisk module OR Flash HZQ_Gcam 7 Fix.zip TWRP recovery patch file.
Where are the magisk modules or patches...?
Please do some research online and find yourselves.

Closing the support thread
I am closing this thread as a newbie xda fellow member has got the administrative powers in a telegram group and is targeting the masses by making a discrimination between Gcam developers and forcing the masses to follow his personnel choices.
http://t.me/RedmiNote7ProPhotography
Screenshot attached as evidence. I opened this thread as there was no support or discussion about this particular gcam named Parrots gcam port. And yet been liked by many and willing for some guidance on its usage and settings. I can't help this community with such low minded thoughts.
I report @vlachorumsapiens for the offence. And close this thread. As the person finds me supporting Parrot Gcam is inferior to him supporting Arnova Gcam ports. Because he couldn't take the fact that Parrot Gcam took artificial lighting colors right with P4XL awb against Arnovas P2XL awb. Just that Arnova added him in private testing group Mr. V Sapiens assumes himself as a developer and targets a person in the mass.
I understand being part of xda since 2013 that anything apart from xda is not a major concern yet explaining why i choose to close is my freedom to speech. Submitting the report for your kind action please @Lupin The Third . Thank you.
