Hello,
I am New here ,Nice to meet you!
I rooted my device with Magisk By unlocking Bootloader and Now when I reboot it It's showing "Orange State". It's okay For Me But Some banking apps Doesn't Work for Me Either Which Says "your phone Doesn't meet Minimum security Requirements" I fixed it ,Thanks to you. Now I think That I don't need Root ,TWRP Or Custom Rom whatever it is and I need to Relock my bootloader I am New here Plz Help me ,Thanks!
If you re-lock phone's bootloader then probably phone isn't working any more this because bootloader in that case tries to load phone's Stock ROM what no longer is present: you replaced it by a Custom ROM.

A REQUEST TO DEVS
There are different sources for developing roms now,but some of them have a MM bootloader which needs to be re unlocked again.so i request devs to add the status of bootloader(will their rom keep the bootloader unlocked or will it lock it). This would be very helpful for me and some others as i see there is always questions on the roms threads about the bootloader status.
PLEASE MAKE IT CLEAR:fingers-crossed:

How to unlock relocked bootloader?
The same way you unlocked it first. Or restore a backup that you made with unlocked bootloader.
Hello, If we restore à backyp, the bootloader is unlocked ?
Yes, if you made a full backup. I made mine with Alka TWRP, and restoring (never restore firmware partition!) sets the bootloader back to unlocked.
Ok thanks I restored everything just not the firmware, it's that ?
Check it yourself. Put it in fastboot mode, and do "fastboot oem device-info".
For a long time i am indulged in custom roms for the kenzo(for approx. 6months). Now what I want to do is that I want to begin from the beginning by turning my device to stock again and since I have the permissions for unlocking the bootloader of my redmi note 3 I also want to relock my bootloader and use this https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/kate-guide-install-lineage-os-locked-t3546154 to install twrp after I have mi flashed my device. Now my question is that I have not been able to relock my bootloader for some reason everytime I miflash it the bootloader remains unlocked even with flashall_lock.bat so my first question is that how do I relock my bootloader. And second is that I want to have a secure phone so that if my device gets stolen(which is common in my area) my data would be completely secure or moreover encrypted, so will I be able to install Miui 9 nougat by turkdevs with above procedure and keep the /data partition encrypted as well as keep my bootloader locked??
Bump....
Somebody???

Relocking bootloader is not recommended. It doesn't give consistent results. Sometimes people brick their devices. If you really want to relock, consider visiting your nearby service centre.
However I see no reason to relock the bootloader. Realme does provide warranty to unlocked phones and you can still install the latest updates with an unlocked bootloader.
thanks. But the reason behind relocking bootloader is to run payment apps like google pay. It doesn't run on unlocked bl :silly:

I don't think you are correct about that. I have used Google Pay earlier with cRDroid custom ROM using Magisk. Later I had reverted back to the stock ROM. I still use Google Pay and all other apps.
There is no app which doesn't run on the stock ROM due to an unlocked bootloader. Every payment app works. However, there can be issues with custom ROMs. So I don't think you need to relock the bootloader.
i followed https://forum.xda-developers.com/realme-3-pro/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-install-twrp-t3938845 and flashed charlie decryption and lockscreen aint working..i flashed new rom zip through twrp bt didnt work...flashed stock recovery...and then flashed .ozip from there but shows installation failed....what to do m stuck in corona..cant go to service center plz help
Hi everyone, I've just got a G-900T running 5.1.1 yesterday. This phone is unlocked, but I am not sure what method did the former user use to unlock. I want to install another ROM (maybe 6.0.1 firmware or other custom ROM), but I am afraid that it will be carrier-locked again, can anyone confirm this for me? Thanks for the help.
To be locked again, you'll have to lock it from developer options, which is not available on AOSP ROMs, and hidden from Stock-based ones. You may consider yourself safe.
There are two types of locking - 1) carrier, and 2) Boot loader. To flash a custom ROM, the boot loader has to be unlocked. That would have been the case if it had a custom ROM installed when you bought it. But if it has a stock ROM, you will have to check the security lock level (About Device) to confirm that the security level is low enough to allow unlocking the boot loader. Otherwise, you may brick your phone.

I have tried for multiple hours to get fastboot and ADB to work with my S6 Edge but it is not working. I suspect I might need to try older Samsung drivers (I only tried the latest ones as far as I remember). I wanted these tools in order to check if my bootloader was unlocked so that I wouldn't brick my device if I tried to install a custom ROM and TWRP. Anyway I followed a video and installed TWRP on my phone and installed Lineage OS Android 10 without checking the bootloader since the guy in the video did not mention doing so and still installed the custom ROM and TWRP. It is working fine. I know it is most likely that since this was possible, the bootloader should probably be unlocked but I just wanted to confirm with more experienced smartphone modders if this is indeed the case. Is it then safe to root my phone without checking bootloader?
Sub-question: If a person were to theoretically attmept to install custom ROM or TWRP or root the phone while the bootloader is locked, would that result in the root failing but the device still being usable or would the attempt result in the device being bricked? IE if the bootloader is locked is it dangerous to attempt to flash software to the phone or will it result in a harmless "failed" message, etc.?
Thank you.
