I downgraded my os to MIUI 9.6.25 for performance.
It is android Oreo (8). I don't want to upgrade to MIUI 10.
But I want to overclock my device (cpu and GPU).
And for that, I want a custom kernel.
I know everything about flashing and risks about it.
I just want the kernel zip or img file.
If anyone know any overclocking kernel for miui 9 android 8, please tell me
I shall be thankful to you
i tried to go back to miui 9.6.25 but touch didnt work so i had to flash miui 11 where everything works fine but with less battery performance compared to oreo
Well, the battery backup is amazing in these 5 days.
I am not gaming currently but will play in winter vacation.
Benchmark is going good with stock kernel too. (Got a custom thermal for it).
Also got a force Fast charge zip 3300 ma, which is doing good. 0 - 80 in 1 hour.
No touch issue or anything.
But still finding a kernel for overclocking cpu and GPU.
Currently Franco's download website is down.
In 2018 he posted in XDA that he created custom kernel for MIUI 9 poco F1. I am waiting for that site to reopen.
If someone know about any other site to download custom kernel for MIUI 9, please tell me

I have FK manager.
I tried no gravity kernel but then stuck on black screen during boot. I think that it is not supported by MIUI 9.
If you know any version of no gravity that is supported by MIUI 9 then please share the link.
No gravity u must use with custom rom only

Hey thanks man! Surely didn't expect such a quick response . If I'm not wrong, you used the force fast charge module from this link, right? : (https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/themes/fc-force-fast-charge-module-poco-f1-t4095679/amp/)

Yes!!! I used that fast charge module only.? That 3300 ma one and it is going good for me. Usually it shows 3100 - 3200 ma while charging in Franco battery manager.
0-85 % and 10-90 % in 1 hour while connected to internet.
But I charge my phone as soon as it goes below 30%.

The archive contains all three kernels from the thread I've mentioned ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series/development/rom-a3-2017-rom-a3-2016-v1-0-t3664252 ).
I've tried flashing all of them and all were working fine on STOCK UNMODIFIED A3 2016 Nougat. I've used Flashify from Google Play Store to flash the kernel and rooted the phone with SuperSU to make it possible.
Please be advised that once You flash the 8-core kernel the device would be somewhat faster but at the cost of battery (I've reverted after a while to stock kernel as the phone was barely able to keep up for one day with my standard set of apps).
If You don't want to root Your phone (warranty and stuff) try to find the Odin-flashable kernel image.

I think enabling 8 cores, then lowering cpu max frequency would benefit battery life at no cost

No. Any app strongly utilizing single core would perform worse (mostly games), this would however be good if you use many apps and are often switching between them.

I uploaded kernel to G-Drive if anyone needs it : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c-NFvUOKTwtftyDc0QkxViL8fAvS1qhm/view?usp=sharing (after downloading extract the 7-zip archive).
On stock nougat (latest updates, etc) works stable with better battery life than it used to work before when I firstly tested it - I think I will use it for longer period of time now.
@alexax66 job well done.
Edit: Decided to return to stock kernel as after flashing this 8-core one and waiting few days - I started having security log issue (it can be mitigated but without using some unofficial apps it's annoying)

I've decided to upload directly here since this is now possible (someone increased the quota per attachment over the years?). Be aware that this kernel although Alexax66 made it functional has some issues (shortened uptime on battery, there are rarely some other issues which could be ignored but can be annoying).

Yea no worries I patched the files in the rom it should be no issue, but I am waiting for the N source to drop cuz like when I worked on Tab S2 I never had an issue with N kernel vs C9. So I know they added in wifi qualcomm source I can tell cuz no more module. So I am hoping I can get the rest perfect like I did tab.
Ok, so do you guys want a port still?, or do you want me to wait for HK Firmware? Both roms work fine on the main op so I'm curious. Next kernel will be Nougat source when Samsung releases it so no more PM'S about that please.
better wait for hk and my personal opinion is to make a rom very colse to stock, remove only app who can be found on market, nothing else, and ofcourse your kernel or stock one. thank you
N source i think it will be a bit better since it will have wifi and better fp firmware in it. My odex rom has all playstore apps removed.

Stock kernel does 1.7a max for fast charge. So it looks like that did not change. Mine I upped it to 2a and I was thinking maybe 2.4a but I don't have a charger to test 2.4 out.
You guys get any slowdowns at all when you fill up ram? I was thinking of Zram and using this instead of a pagefile since the emmc 5.1 chip is slow at read write vs ufs storage. That way all paging will be done in ram and not use the emmc chip. I'll have to try it out this weekend and see if it helps speed up the device in general.
I put odex rom, dirty install and all working fine till now. The same like in barebone prism rom codes like *#06# not working. Must be samsung fault. Very good odex room, no need deodex for me. Also Xposed part from grenify cannot be activated, must be Xposed fault. Thank's Travis82 for rom and hop for hk one soon.
When we recieve HK firmware I have a lot that i will do to speedup the rom and kernel I tested on my port and it was much much much... faster. So until then just wait it up. I noticed same issue as in M that if cores are defined for hotplug that the big cores never slept well to 400mhz so I'll try to get that fixed up when I get source and a new firmware to play with also.
Hi,
Currently i have RN3 SD with miui 9.5.1.0 based on android MM with zcx recovery and unlocked bootloader using official method. I want to install oreo rom like nos on my rn3 but I don't know the exact process, i have done research related to it and got to know about certain problem like of date encryption when coming from miui roms, flashing of firmware, etc.
Someone plz tell me
1)what is firmware flashing? What firmware needs to be flashed for oreo roms?
2)how to avoid that encryption error?
3) correct procedure for installation of oreo rom like nos, including all the steps that i need to follow to avoid encryption error.
Thanks in advance!?
To avoid encryption error you must format all data from you phone using the recovery
To install a custom rom
1.-download the rom
2.- download opengapps (if rom doesn't pre-include)
3.-format everything from you memory (backup vids, chats, img etc)
4.- once you phone is totally clean flash rom and gapps
If u need more help tell me sorry my inglish hope u understand all

Flashing NOS..I think it's the best right now..what you think btw the best today for flashing that would serve as a daily driver?
NOS is OK for me, not the best rom ever in terms of SOT but the rom is really stable and the functions added are amazing.
The only thing I regret from other roms and miui is the scrollable screenshot.
BE careful though, Flash ROM and GAPPS without rebooting inbetween.

Yeah i'm having a pretty same experience here, though the rom is pretty impressive and developer has really worked hard but in terms of battery and SoT its really pathetic...i hardly get 4 hours sot and 1:25 hours while playing pubg with 100% charge, it went down to 14%.
But i think its common in every Oreo rom, anyways suggest me some ways/roms to enhance battery life.

I tried different kernels (Agni / Radon / Franco) and they are about the same for me in terms of SOT ... Even playing with frequencies and governor didn't change much.
The only thing I kept is my undervolt on agni : -65mV and the benefit isn't amazing.
I also tried limiting the frequencies (+ UV) but the overall hassle isn't worth it for me.
Apparently the EKM mod in the app section worked for some, for me it was a real nightmare experience ... So I'd rather have a stable 4h SOT with stock performance and have a battery or charger.
TbH I'm only on this Oreo for PIP and the google cam, otherwise I would have stayed on MiUi 9 wih MM but these two features are really awesome for me.

Haha..same here bro! I flashed this just for google cam and apparently the split screen too!?
I'll be trying my ultimate power saving features this weekend not suitable for PUBG but ok for normal use with YT.
- Agni 12.7
- -65mV undervolt on all cores
- Big Cores Disabled
- Little Cores Max Freq 1190Mhz
- GPU max Freq 480 MHz
- ElementalX Governor on CPU
- Mzm on GPU
- Alternative adreno pause
- Brightness : Auto Off and set to 50%
- No GPS and NO BT (when both active they suck battery like crazy for instance 50min of Waze with that kills 25% of battery for me)
-4G ON and Wifi ON ( good signal on both for this test)
I need to tweak the touch boost input not to kick in too hardly don't really know what to change now and I didn't change anything with the memory.

Well "quote=daily Driver "
That depends weather you aRE a Casual User or hardcore user .For me its good for daily driver I get approximately 7.30hr SOT on casual using but again while gaming The Sot is not what it used to be in official MIUI Rom.
But MIUI's performance is not as good as Nitrogen OS performance. So yeh its right choice for daily driver.
I finally finished my test and so far it's good enough ! Better tweaking could improve especially on UV and touchboost as said before but for a minimal impact on performance, perfect stability and ease of implementation it's not so bad !
Here are the screenshots of the results :
Please note that the YouTube usage is mixed I would said about 3/4h with screen ON and 3/4 with screen OFF ! So not that bad

Also the phone was ON for more than 1day without recharging overnight and I lost about 1/2% overnight.
I'm still on my phone (3%...) So I can't edit the tags for the pictures to show correctly :0 sorry
What is the best rom and kernel combination for POCO F1 in the terms of gaming and minimum battery life
you won't get any answers here like that, trust me . People will give you that b.s line "not all rom are perfect" . i tried many custom rom and find that stock with zero useless apps and extrem kernel v9 is the best and use thermal changer too ..you will get ok performance . the lags which is happening in pubgm right now its purely them.
Im on stable 10.2.2.0 with franco kernel. Smooth gaming.. though my games are.. NBA 2K19.. GANGSTAR 4. AND PSP GAMES
I'm finally using cRdroid with stock kernel. Battery , smoothness , signal reception everything is perfect . :fingers-crossed:

OOS is better than i expected, better battery and fluid than almost custom roms available for this device, even memeUI
give it a try if substratum isn't a must for you
crdroid 6.0 with NoGravityKernel and with NoGravityKernel app for fast changing profiles.
That rom and kernel are the best combo for gamers i try and pixel but crdroid its the best opinion.
The best battery life, no fps shootering, stable fps, low touch lattency all are perfect.

you won't get any answers here like that, trust me . People will give you that b.s line "not all rom are perfect" . i tried many custom rom and find that stock with zero useless apps and extrem kernel v9 is the best and use thermal changer too ..you will get ok performance . the lags which is happening in pubgm right now its purely them.

Yeah Stock ROM is way better followed by Cr Droid for gaming and AOSP pie.
WIP. Hello everyone. My main goal is to help out the "gamers" and those who need maximum performance out of their phone without losing much battery. Wanna play PUBG on MAXIMUM graphics with 60 or EXTREME framerate just to flex on friends? Well, do it. But don't play like that. Feel free to try out every game and report any problem that you have. We can fix it most likely. If you want, join my Telegram group and we can talk about future updates, maybe higher screen Hz, higher GPU performance, or other recommendations.

Features:

Amazing battery life while maintaining performance, works on any ROM
GPU overclocked from 710MHz to 840MHz for better gaming experience(be sure to check in a kernel manager if it's set to 840MHz)
GPU underclocked to 150MHz for more battery.
CPU screen has been OC'ed to 65Hz, 67Hz, 69Hz and 71Hz (from 60Hz) - more fluidity, less lag
SCREEN OC WON'T EVER DAMAGE YOUR DISPLAY, STOP BELIEVING EVERY LIE
Latest touch drivers for no more touch issues
3300-3600mAh charging
Power efficient workqueues and idle power consumption is reduced to the absolute minumum
SafetyNet bypass
F2FS support
Latest Wi-Fi drivers for better and more stable connection
Latest patches
Many more under the hood improvements, the code speaks for itself
More magic? Find out later... Recommended to be used with Ben's Thermal v5 (link in Telegram, don't use any other placebo thermals, they might make things worse) and optionally FDE.Ai for maximum performance.
How To Install:
You can install this kernel by flashing it through your favourite recovery (TWRP, Redwolf, etc). Yes, that's it. Enjoy your phone!
FAQ:
If 71Hz doesn't work for you, try 69Hz, if even that doesn't work, try 65Hz.
OC isn't dangerous, and everything here was tested before for a very long time. You might hear some buildbots saying "umagash OC dmgez phune" but try for yourself. I will guarantee you won't be the first whose phone will get damaged *wink*
This kernel already has the best battery life since its build on disrupt with additional tweaks for gaming like overclock.
Changelog:
sesh 3.0: Bringing in the best optimisations for Poco F1; since we're the only kernel still brinking high performance for the best battery life, and also being one of the safest and biggest for the community.

Other users reported that it doesn't work with VPN or something. It does work for me and them now. Strange. I might upload somewhere else later. I'm too tired to make anything now.

Sure
Trying out now..
Does it require clean flash? Also, is it safe to dirty flash another kernel in the future, in case I change my mind?
Malakas kernel is and will be one of the best... All this kids trying to copy his work and do "their own kernel" are retards.. you can t just take someone work... In this case thanas work.. change few things and say you got a new kernel... He spend 3-4000hours... And a random kid steal his work. Thats not fair at all.
You asked advice from Thanas on every little issue u faced man, and now u r saying it's your kernel? Come on man quit this.
Mod @Funk Wizard please check among others: compliance to GNU GPL (no sources indicated on OP's post) and reports of kanging, just to settle the issue. Thanks!
With 3500mAh charging battery will pop soon.
Awesome kernel

Hello Dev. Can I flash this kernel on miui or EU ROM?
Thank you Dev, very very good and stable, fast and smooth battery friendly kernel without any issues.
Can you please give 65hz mode or 60hz. My Phone always have problems above 65, somehow Malakas kernel 65-69 hz freezes my display, but 65hz version works.
