Even if you can it's not safe. Some people destroyed their screens by doing so.

No for Redmi Note 3. But you can wake it by its fingerprint identification on the back. Remi 3 was released on 12th Jan in Beijing time, price is 699RMB maybe.
Thanks for your reply. There is no fingerprint sensor in redmi 3. Redmi note 3 has it.

Vrse compatible?

Can someone who has the Redmi 3, check in the Google Play Store if they can install the vrse app. I'm looking for a cheap handset to demo that app. I can side load it on the Redmi Note 2 but no videos play, so I'm hoping that's to do with the Mediatek chip, a cheaper snapdragon might work?

If you read some of the comment for the app, it shows that no videos issues is happened in S6 edge too, so i don't think its a processor issue, more like bugs in the app it self.
Thanks. I didn't do that tbh. as I had sideloaded the apk as it was marked not compatible with the RN2. I'm just interested if vrse can be installed on the R3, could you check please as I don't have that device and am looking for a cheap handset. Thanks.
