Share screen in Teams and cast to Chromecast at the same time - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I'm trying to share my screen via Microsoft Teams at the same time that I cast my screen to a Chromecast connected to a projector with a Samsung Tab S6 lite. However, the screen sharing stops as soon as I start casting. I have learnt that it has to do with the fact that both sharing and casting use the same "internal system" to do their thing. Is there any workaround available? Such some mirror app that uses another method to cast to Chromecast.
I have no issues sharing and casting at the same time with my Xiaomi mi 9t. I guess that Xiaomi made some modifications to android to make this possible. I need to do it with the tablet since it has S pen support.
If not possible, do you know any tablet that both allows screensharing and casting and has s pen (or similar) support?
Thanks in advance

[Q] [Question] Chromecast Mirroring

Hey Guys,
Im using a tab pro 12.2 and running stock rooted deodexed, and Im wondering if I buy the chromecast dongle - will I be able to mirror my device straight to the screen (I want to mirror custom videos not through youtube etc) with mxplayer pro. My TV doesnt have any sort of wifi, but it does have a hdmi slot - hence going with chromecast.
Pixel
Yes there are ways to do this
The TV doesn't need WiFi, just your home and device (tablet, phone, PC)
I can only cast screen natively from my nexus devices or PC but there are apps that allow for this
Check the Chromecast threads for more info
Oh, and the best $35 I ever spent, over a year now and still use it daily
Ok thanks, didnt realise there was a specific chromecast forums

[Q] cast screen to my toshiba android tv

Guys want to get my n9 LTE tab screen displayed on my Toshiba android TV.
With my Samsung note 2 the screen mirroring works superb by which I can view my phone screen on the TV whereas with my n9 when I use cast screen in the settings it shows no devices available.
I have installed this app called localcast But still no luck.
Plz help.
Sadly Nexus 9 support screen casting (miracast) to smart tv only if you have Chromecast and configured wifi connection. I'm in same situation,, my nexus can't cast screen to tv only sends videos from YouTube app

Miracast (WiFi screen casting) RECEIVER app for Android

Hi,
I have a Galaxy S7 which comes with the "Smart View" app in Android 8.0, which makes it easy to screen cast the phone to another Miracast device (e.g. TV or PC). Is there any way to do the reverse, i.e. using the phone as a Miracast host to display the screen of, say, another phone or PC? In particular, I want to use the Wireless Display feature in Windows 10 to have the phone as an external PC display. Windows can do both (cast to a device and host/display a cast from a device) but Smart View can only cast, not host. I don't want to use a media streaming app over the local network or god forbid a remote desktop solution routing everything through the internet. I want to use specifically Miracast because it's fast, convenient, built-in to many devices and most importantly uses direct peer-to-peer WiFi instead of going through the rest of the network, thus it's perfect for short-distance casting, which is exactly my use case. Unfortunately, I can't find any app that allows the phone to receive Miracast streams. Can anyone help?

Streaming from Daydream to Chromecast?

Hi. I haven't used my Daydream View in a year or so, but I recently dusted it off to play Virtual Virtual Reality. The experience still holds up pretty well BUT I noticed that I can't stream it to a Chromecast anymore, which is a shame. One of the main selling points for me was the ability to share the experience with friends via Chromecast
I can still cast my entire screen to a Chromecast, but that's laggy and the image is obviously stereoscopic. I've tried on 3 different Chromecasts and they just show a blank screen when I cast from within the Daydream app. Can anyone explain why? Is it because the Chromecasts have been updated and lost that functionality? Is there a fix? I'm using a Pixel (1) XL if that matters

Question Miracast

Seems have last been here. Recently I picked up a pixel 6. I'm thinking it had all the functionality I need. Long story short. Went to a meeting and try to cast information to the screens and lo and behold. I needed a Google Chromecast dongle. My previous phone's all had miracasts. Is there a way to install Miracast on a pixel 6? I did look through the forums. I couldn't find anything specifically speaking to this

Is there a reason why the Miracast app won't work for you?

If you typed a response, it didn't post.
Miracast Wifi Display
It's not installed on the pixel
Mirrorcast and others, like Easycast are apps available in Playstore. There are others as well. Here's some helpful info:

I'd like to have it too.
I just moved to a pixel as my old phone was too old and apps wouldn't support it anymore, but in that one miracast just works. It's total BS that a phone that costs 450-800 euros (depending upon the exact model) just cannot connect to any tv with a standard connection protocol.
I discovered AirBeamTv apps which provide screen casting support but they're quite slow and need an app on both tv and device which is not the best solution and not every smart-tv brand is covered.

It depends on what type of content you want to mirror. If it's DMCA protected content, then you might need a dongle plug in, like Fire Stick, Roku, or other. I use fire Stick, for my Amazon prime videos content, which I then add apps like Hulu to it. Now, since I don't have home WiFi, I use my hotspot for internet connection, for Fire Stick, which is a part of my carrier unlimited plan. Now, if you are only interested in mirroring non-DMCA content, like your own pictures, videos, or browser screen? Then you might need a different dongle. I bought a cheep mirrorcast dongle online, which worked just fine for non-DMCA content.
To my knowledge, Miracast support was dropped out of Android from 6.0 onwards, but most other (not Google) manufacturers have it baked in as one form or another in their ROMs still. Google however does not support any form of Miracast on any of their first party phones, only Google Cast (which I think is Chromecast basically but don't quote me on that), which is proprietary and not compatible with Miracast.
I have tried on a Pixel 3a, 3a XL and a 6 but neither one works with Miracast on stock android.
I've read, more than once, that scrcopy is good...and free! Not tried it yet myself...smh

Can confirm it's good and it's free and it does what it says. It does need some additional setup and relies on adb so I don't think it'd work for something like a TV.
