[HELP] Slimbox 10.1 with mx3 air control - X96 max plus - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

Hardware: X96 MAX+ 4GB/32
ROM: ROM:Slimbox 10.1 ATV
Hi guys, I just step into this android TV world, and bought this device. Luckily flashed Slimbox 10.1 into my box on my first run without breaking it. Everything works fine expect I noticed I am not able to turn on device after completely shutdown with mx3 air remote control.
I was able to do the following with original remote control:
Long press power button to shutdown (menu shutdown)
Short press power button to boot up after shutdown.
Short press power button to sleep
However, when i use 2.4G Mx3 air remote control, I am not able to boot device after it's completely power off. I had to re-plug in device to boot it.
Does anyone have the same issue, and able to solve it by remapping? or copy the remote config from somewhere to solve this? I found some related solution about this kind of issue, but I am not able to find these files.
#Update
So i was able to unpack the origional img file by using 'Amlogic Unpacker by Nayam'. I found several remote files, but I am not understanding file structure.
There are 'system' and 'vendor' folders under level 2:
-\level2\system\system\usr\keylayout (94 .kl files)
-\level2\vendor\usr\keylayout (44 .kl files)
Not sure whats the different between these 2 folders, and what config files i should copy into USB and into the device.
Thanks in advance.

Hello boys! To me the same thing happens to me. I installed version 8.1 on x96 from sd card and it works great! But when I turned the box off, I could never turn it on again. Does anyone know how to fix it? From now many thanks and greetings!

Did you try enabling CEC control, so when you turn on the TV the box powers up

Can i edit the wifi section of an *.img with Dragonface??

Hi.. I have been trying to fix a tv stick for a few months now (basically is more about the knowledge i am getting - I am not desperate in fixing it). It is a strange piece, probably clone that i have been tricked in buying. It has an Allwinner A20 dual core cpu with an AP6210 wifi module...
Tried to flash another firmware ti improve it, ended up with the wifi problem. Wifi (and bleutooth) will not start. When i press the button, it just slides back to off... I have read and tried anything i could find on the internet. I have also tried tens of firmwares, but the wifi problem persisted (the original firmware is nowhere to be found).. To cut the story short, the device will not connect to a computer through ADB (it just doesn't seem to support this function - is not a matter of drivers). So everything i have been trying did not include this option...Also the recovery can not be changed to support backup and restore from custom recoveries (i.e CWM, or TWRP)..
What i did manage was to extract a backup from the rom, of another identical device, with the Nandroid App (online version, not through the recovery). Then i used the Dragonface program to edit another similar firmware (MK808C). While loaded, i open the FSOP folder which is the folder that dragonface collapses the loaded firmware for editing and then, i replaced the existing system folder with the one i had backed up trough the Nandroid procedure... Then hit the save button of the Dragonface...
I flashed the new *.img to my tv stick with the phoenix tool, and the tv stick booted normally, looking EXACTLY the same as when i first bought it. I even managed to get the bleutooth going this time, BUT, the bloody wifi still refuses to come on :-/
I must tell you, I know my way through some computer technical stuff but I am not an expert into the coding level and i haven't had the experience of Linux systems (thus i don't really understand coding). I really thought all settings and drivers are included in the system file and copying the original system file into another firmware, would do the trick.. but i guess is not that simple... The thing is that, the way i see it, the problem is probably hidden at the booting level... hitting the system configuration in the advance settings of the Dragon face, will open some coding thing which i don't understand.. but i do see the AP6210 module in that coding, which means that the new firmware includes those drivers..If anybody have any idea or can point me to the right direction I would really appreciate it.. Thanks
I have the same problem with AP6210 on H3 Allwinner STB box. After firmware ugrade from Android 4.4.2 to Android 10 Wifi just don't work, button slides back to off. Drivers are present. Have both firware files unpacked.
Please help! What i have to do? Sys_config? Init.rc?

EUI Version
CHINA with Play Store and Play Services - EUI 6.5
US (Android Aosp) - EUI 5.8.057S
Awesome! performing the upgrade to 6.5 today!
OK, I've got it installed EUI 6.5 rooted, but I can't seem to get Gapps installed for the life of me. using the script calls ADB, but I can't figure out how to enable debugging in my TV to allow that.. The new UI is just too different to locate what I need to do.
I take no credit for any of this work. I'm just a user who found the instructions vague and confusing. So once I figured out what I needed, I decided to document it here.
OK, I've gone through all the steps. Its kinda clunky but it works. I'll first warn you if Netflix is your thing, this probably isn't for you.
Netflix does work, but you're required to use the phone/tablet app from PUREApk. This evidently reduces the video quality quite a bit.
It was noticeable for me. Felt like I was watching somewhat artifacty 720p. To get there I had to enable settings for video quality to "HIGH" otherwise it showed up in SD which was way worse.
So if you enjoy 1080P or 4K netflix, this is not your upgrade. Also, if you don't wish to be forced to use keyboard/mouse. this is NOT your upgrade. If none of that matters to you, by all means feel free!
Step 1) First flash EUI 6 BIN FILE https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HBiM2WAllOQ43ONI7Jk3Gaey6P8FYDmo/view
To do that you must format a flashdrive using FAT32 and place the bin file on it with no other files or directories. Make sure the file is named LetvUpgrade938.bin .
I used my phone to format the flashdrive. Linux also works. I hear MAC users are gonna have a bad time, as it does something different with FAT32 making it go unnoticed.
Then place the flashdrive in the TOP USB port, completely turn off the TV. (unplugging TV helps)
Then point the remote on the TV and press buttons: SETTINGS, VOL +, VOL-, CH-, CH +, POWER. Pressing slowly, hold each button for 1-2 sec.
the TV should turn on in recovery mode and begin flashing the bin file. This take a while be patient.
You'll notice the TV comes on in chinese. If you need english use the google translate app and camera to convert chinese to english.
Get to home screen, press settings button, go to bottom System Settings, another menu will slide out, then General (3rd option down),
Next go to Time and settings (second option down), Go to right pane and 3rd/bottom option will be language. Select English.
Step 2) upgrade to 6.5 via offline update zip. DO NOT USE THE ROOTED BIN FILE YET, you'll have to start over if you do.
Download https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rbov4oeMUh49rSF2hvUPvoTqRXGbThYS/view and place it on the FAT32 flashdrive.
After skipping through the tutorials and jazz, go to the apps pane (press right button a few times) and go to system update -> offline update -> choose 6.5 zip file.
Step 3) Flash 6.5 rooted bin file https://mega.nz/#!GIYCxQLB!V2jBnfH0K5-DzUUWy6_RegDlnhglxpWJhVa8yd5NVKE
Basically repeating step 1, but now with the 6.5 rooted bin file. Congrats, you're rooted.
Step 4) Download the GApps install tool. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1DHViq0yJ_-RlV3LQ_BuQsxIKEk2ip7ZB
Be warned, this requires windows and isn't as straight forward as you'd hope. The app doesn't work until USB Debugging is enabled.
Also, you won't be doing this over USB. It'll be connecting ADB over Network. To do this you need to:
Go back to system setting where you changed language, but go down to saftey and enable "Application of Unknown Origin".
Now we need to sideload apps.
download https://apkpure.com/usb-debugging/com.bluedragonfly.developeroptions to the flash drive, and use the file manager to locate/install it.
download also https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1687590[/url] ADBD.apk to the flash drive and use the file manager to locate/install it
Open the first app and enable USB Debugging. Then open the second app to enable insecure ADB.
Now the janky GApps batch script should work. You'll want to perform actions 1, 2, and 3.
Sadly, this will factory reset your TV once again, and you'll have to go through the setup, but its no big deal.
Now if you want extra packages I suggest sideloading the PUREApk app from https://apkpure.com/. this will help you install the Netflix mobile app.
If you want to enable HDMI CEC by neekzz, Place https://mega.nz/#!aQQgiDyQ!ih9K6-rZ0yQoToDPoqAg93AN6Cy3L5JNsdMw7Fy-ADc
on the system/lib64/hw . Then turn off the receiver. Restart the TV... You'll need to know how to use adb to push the file.
REVERT ) So you've decided you've made a grave error, or don't care for some quirks, whatever the case may be, time to go back to US FW.
Step 1) Download US Stock firmware BIN file. https://mega.nz/#!fcwxGQ5I!FmO4xArY4ObmittoVNfnE21utvy8kkSSnTJFR9UXA3I
Format a flashdrive using FAT32 and place the bin file on it with no other files or directories. Make sure the file is named LetvUpgrade938.bin .
I used my phone to format the flashdrive. Linux also works. I hear MAC users are gonna have a bad time, as it does something different with FAT32 making it go unnoticed.

Then point the remote on the TV and press buttons: SETTINGS, VOL +, VOL-, CH-, CH +, POWER. Pressing slowly, hold each button for 1-2 sec.
the TV should turn on in recovery mode and begin flashing the bin file. This take a while be patient.
Step 2) Upgrade to last known US firmware available. Download the file from the following link:
http://g3.letv.cn/263/6/84/scmauto/...C058056B04201S_5.8.056S_0420_USER.zip?retry=0
Place the zip file on the flash drive. Go to System Update app and perform an Offline update and select the zip file.
And you're done. Welcome back.
Step 3) you may have some issues with Google Play Services constantly crashing. Latest Google Play services needs a newer version of Google play services to be installed .
Ridiculous, I know. Side loading the latest Google Play services apk can help resolve your issue. Download the apk from:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-services-android-tv/
Put it on your flash drive. Go to settings > Security > and Allow Unknown Sources.
Open File Manager > APK > and select Google Play services apk.

What is the magic to get Google Assistant 3.0 or higher working on a LeEco x4-55? It seems to always crash right after sign-in process.

Every time I turn the tv off...and then turn on later it will not upload the apps....I unplug the tv for a minute...then turn on and the apps load. I am not that tech savvy and would appreciate any help you might offer

[Need Help] .kl files

Hi guys, recently my lg g5 rebooted randomly and deleted all apps cache. I had no mayor problems ever since but one, i have an AVH bluetooth gamepad which has a phone stand to play emulator games anywhere. Since that reset i can press and use all buttons BUT i cant hold a button for more than 1 sec. If i hold a button it registers that i lifted my finger 1 sec after i pressed it, i tried with another phone and it works ok, also on a computer it works ok.
I think it may be related to .kl files, anyone can zip the original lg .kl files to me? i'm using fulmics rom 5.5, i dont know if you have to send me the kl files from the same rom or if you know another solution.
Thanks

[ROM] Mod: HK1 X3 / H96 max X3 / VONTAR X3 / Transpeed X3 Air / Bqeel Y8 Max (Amlogic S905X3)
This mod is based on the Malay mod v1.2 . You can download the Malay mod (starts in Russian) from here : https://yadi.sk/d/GWW_dL7anKvorA
The Malay mod is based on the original for HK1 X3 u219.HK1_BOX_1000M_9.0.2020.01.13.12.35
What is Changed / Added
- In Settings you can now enable/disable Status Bar & Navigation Bar (photos 1,3)
- TASKBAR (as another Navigation Bar and much more…….)(Photo 4)
- POWER SHADE (as Notification Panel – give all the required permissions)
- Square Home 3 (it is strongly advised to immediately use this launcher as default)
- PowerMenu (Photo 6)
- Root Explorer
- Landrive (as SMB server)
- EsFileExplorer
- MxPlayer
- Corrected the bug of “ENTER” when using external keyboard
- Deleted a couple of apps of russian interest/use
- The rom starts and installs in ENGLISH by default
What was already in Malay’s rom
- Magisk (permanent)(photo 5)
- TWRP (permanent)
- Viper4FX
You can download the custom rom from here : https://mega.nz/file/hhkH1aJL#0iWVizud2ijzGCW3ZjrHe-_ECJpq4YOPzNf7wpCdLdU
Some Photos of how the rom may look using Square Home 3 as default launcher :
How to Install
- You can use a USBmale-USBmale cable and USB Burning Tool. If you don’t have the cable you can easily make it by yourself, possibly using some old cables (from old smartphones etc). If you need USB Burning Tool you can download it from here https://mega.nz/file/E0MHyaDa#n5BHOVwobmWxLmfgnD9Bn8BWjjfH4RLgesKTiiuwFzY
After you install UBT you must copy the LICENCE directory https://mega.nz/file/8lECwC4R#AcA4CsaZVf23X-nNPPURBkCz0IFvSjaCaCMERrLq6pc
- You unrar the custom rom (to get the same name file as img), load it to UBT and press “Start”
- Connect one end of cable to USB port of PC and the other end to your port of the box (usually the 2.0 USB port and NOT the blue one which is 3.0). You must wait until 100% is reached and only then disconnect the cable. After starting the box you have to wait 4-5 minutes for everything to be installed.
In case that “burning” does not start, you must repeat the same procedure but additionally pressing the “Reset” button (gently pressing it in the center of AV port) for 2-3 seconds.
- Instead of UBT you can install the rom using an sd card and Burn Card Maker (instructions at Post #50)
NOTE : At post #46 you will find a special version ONLY for H96 max X3 with Blue Board and wifi chip IT6334.
To pass the safety net (as in screenshot n.5) please read here https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/safetynet-fix-google-update-march-2020-t4063679

Please try again to download UBT and install it.
After that you have to download the "licence" directory (choose to download it as zip). Then unzip it and copy the whole "licence" directory to where you installed the USB Burning Tool v. 2.2.0.
I hope everything is clear now.

Download this version of TWRP https://mega.nz/file/UsMyGKKZ#NhWNZVL0Fk0bbkIgS14PfmAbXv_vFIhOZW7BC_igzHY (it is not permanent) and copy it as it is in a sd card or USB stick.
Boot to recovery and choose this file you downloaded.
(The easiest way to boot to recovery is to install "Terminal Emulator" and then to just type "reboot update"). "
Good luck.

NOTE: For anybody that would like to try other roms (mine or other custom roms) it is a good practice to first make a Backup of their partitions with a NOT permanent TWRP. It is easily made as I say here:
https://forum.freaktab.com/forum/tv-...e16#post812426
You have to backup at least Boot, System, Vendor and your Data partitions.

Download this version of TWRP https://mega.nz/file/UsMyGKKZ#NhWNZV...IhOZW7BC_igzHY (it is not permanent) and copy it as it is in a sd card or USB stick.
Boot to recovery and choose this file you downloaded.
(The easiest way to boot to recovery is to install "Terminal Emulator" and then to just type "reboot update"). "
Good luck.

Murphy's law
Hmm, when I put the TWRP zip on an FAT32 USB stick I can't see it when I reboot in recovery. Tried normal USB and USB3 port.
Can I only use a SD card?

You can use either a USB stick or an sd card. Better format it to Fat32. I usually use USB stick (it is more easy to insert and remove).
- I suppose you have the stock recovery.
- You write "reboot update" in the terminal emulator and press "ENTER"
- in the recovery menu you have to choose to update from external source (either "update from sd" or "update from udisk" - the 2nd being your USB stick)
- Then you choose from there TWRP_322.zip
- After pressing "ENTER" the box reboots to TWRP (temporary) and you backup any partiition you want.
One proposed setting for TASKBAR:
- General Settings (check boxes) -Collapse Taskbar when selecting items - Automatically collapse Taskbar - Launch on boot
- Appearance - Hide button while Taskbar is collapsed - Show shortcut icon for pinned apps - Visual feedback when selecting icons
- Advanced features - Enable widget support -Allow third-party app intervation
After that the bar will be completely Hidden.By just clicking at the lower left of the screen you can open TASKBAR (just click there-without seing anything). You can hide it again clicking at the arrow (right end of screen).
Finally you should choose in Αdvanced Features - Navigation bar buttons - all 3 buttons or which you want.
My Vontar G10 air mouse doesn't work properly with your mod it seems while it does work with the original firmware.
I can't power up or control my box with the G10 air mouse and when I use my other standard remote to power it up I need to reconnect the G10 USB dongle before the air mouse is working. It doesn't matter which USB port I use, both don't work.
Is there any setting that I could look at to fix this?

OK. This was a known problem with these G10 airmouses. Somebody even said that it was the problem of dongles and not airmouses. Since you say that it functioned properly with the original firmware I suppose something is fixed now. Did you use the latest firmware of 12/8/2020? I also think that I read something like that. I probably have to find what was actually changed.
Anyway just for the "history" here is what was known about these airmouses (everything from 4pda):
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q.......The puck came, bought in Vontara, the g10 remote control falls off
A.......Did you buy everything at once, as a set? Or is the G10 remote separately?
Try to do it like this:
== There is such a tricky option against dumping the console.
Take any USB hub, insert into it both a dongle from the remote control and a dongle from a wireless computer mouse (you can also use a wired mouse), the hub itself into a USB 2.0 set-top box. After rebooting, when the remote has fallen off, you need to move the mouse and (or) press any mouse button or the wheel, the remote will come to life again. == It's still better than juggling the remote's dongle. True, I have not tried it on this console, but it can ride with G10s
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
turns out from experience that the remotes themselves have nothing to do with it, it's the dongles, I ordered the Vontara G10s separately from the console in the official store, my friend ordered the console with the G10s together in another store. his remote control falls off.
He brought me a remote control with a dongle, they decided to ponder and such a chip came out.
The remotes are the same, except for the vontar inscription on my remote, the dongles are also the same.
And the trick is what - my dongle - my remote -
my dongle didn't dump - his remote - there is no blade
his dongle - his remote - blade
his dongle - my remote - blade
output - it's a matter of dongles, who got what difference?
There is such a cunning option against the dump of the remote control.
Take any USB hub, insert into it both a dongle from the remote control and a dongle from a wireless computer mouse (you can also use a wired mouse), the hub itself into a USB 2.0 set-top box. After rebooting, when the remote control has fallen off, you need to move the mouse and (or) press any mouse button or wheel, the remote comes to life again.
It turns out this method works. Checked on the drain on the G10s consoles, and most importantly, you don't need to press anything.

- Instead of UBT you can install the rom using an sd card and Burn Card Maker.

And I can install the ROM by TWRP (installing "Terminal Emulator" and then type "reboot update" to boot to recovery)?
Thanks!!!

Also the analog button don't work.
How can I make android seen the device?
Maybe I need correct keydev.ko file? Where to find it? and how to install?

You can take the file from any amlogic android 8+, as 8+ uses the new 4.x kernel I have a fair few roms and i cant find that file in any of the 9.0 roms, it may have never been compiled for the newer kernel but it give alot of options for you to look
edit:
I found the file, check it on https://github.com/ewwink/Root-Android-S905X3-plus-Dragonrise-generic-USB-Joystick-driver
---------------------
have you found the file?
I would have a problem with an X96max +, namely what happens (it has any android system on it) when the HDR logo appears on the LG TV at boot, the system slows down (freezes) at the boot screen and "System UI isn't responding for a long time "subtitle for wait or close will be followed by another, then it will be very difficult to load the system, but the Wifi will be turned off. It plays on almost every boot, whether you switch from CE to droid or not. Can anyone help?
reset to factory default or flash with another ROM
