Hi all, i can't seem to get this to work, I can't even see the app to select...when I go to play store it says update which I do then it just says uninstall after...no open option is available...I can't see the app within the app section in settings to try and uninstall from there...if anyone can provide any insight that would be great.
Thanks
Pl download and install "Android Auto for phone screens" from Playstore. It will enable you to see Android Auto in Apps section.
Thanks, I did do that but has made no difference, when I plug the phone into car I get a haptic rumble then the car stereo says check if your device is compatible with Android Auto... strange as I use to use my Poco phone f1 with Android Auto in the same car... it's very odd.
I also cleared playstore service cache but didn't help... I'm at a loss!?
Same problem here
hello to all of you
it's normal since 1 or 2 version of android auto it no longer appears in the list of applications.
But he's here.
To desinstall it just go into parameters -- applications -- manage the applications and it will appear to be able to install it.
To use it just connect the phone to the main USB of the car and it will launch automatically.
Here's a good day
I have a ford focus mk4 and android auto work correctly with global EEA mi 10 rom (android 11 too) I confirm new Android auto Version don't show app icon on phone you can find AA menu setting in phone setting under Google or connectivity after A11 update. My problem is Google maps lost navigation and some time close itself during use. I try to battery optimization things but don't resolve my problem

Hi,
Every app I install from google play are set in phone mode. It would be great if there is a way to install tablet versions of the apps.
For example in Chrome (installed from google play) I dont get the tablet interface with multiple tabs etc. In gmail I dont get the interface with the side panel.
Is there a way to force these apps to show the tablet versions or force google play to only let you install tablet versions of apps?.
Tkx
hmmm...enable the developer mode and extra developer mode by tapping on the build no (?)
Just go to Settings > About and tap like crazy on those infos. It will unlock the dev and extra dev settings.
Then, there is an option somewhere to enable or disable phone mode for apps.
good luck.
Can also root and chande pdi in build prop

Hi,
i´m using the
[X82X][AOSP][7.1.2][VoLTE][UNOFFICIAL] Dirty Unicorns 7.1.2 [ViperFX/DolbyAtmos]
Rom on my Leeco Max 2 and want to use Android Auto.
But when i try to start the app it turn the screen black and after some seconds i´m back on my home screen.
Android auto is not loading. There is no error message.
I have used the Beans Google apps and installed Android Auto form Play Store.
Before on stock Rom is was able to start Android Auto but it does not connect to my car.
Someone can help me?
Do i need to installed a different android auto version????
Play Services are up to date.
I have the exact same problem on Stock EUI rom and on RR rom. Android Auto works on Stock rom on phone itself but if I connect to the car it appears on the in car display for a second and then disconnects and says phone disconnected on the head unit (FYI this is on a 2017 Columbus head unit, so basically any Audi/vw/seat/skoda).
I use cuocco Rom.
There Android auto is better but not completely working.
I can use Google maps and Spotify.
Also Whatsapp and Threema are working for incoming messages (AA is using text to speech).
But trying to send a Threema or Whatsapp message is not possible. Google does not recognize the messenger. It stucks at : "which messenger should I use? SMS, Threema or Whatsapp?"
I say : "Whatsapp"
But Google ask the question again.... And again
Maybe it will be get fixed some time....
Android Auto worked pretty well in LineageOS Marshmallow if I remember correctly. I haven't had any luck with Nougat roms.
Hello weeks ago post about android auto and leeco max 2, the stock ROM does not have the audio source option in developer options, so it is impossible to connect the leeco Max 2 to my car Kia river. Install lineage OS 6.0.1 and works correctly, calls, Google maps, Spotify, WhatsApp, SMS, only in the last update of Google app speech recognition fails to have the option on any screen, solve it by choosing only in android auto. The disadvantage is the battery consumption and lag with the fingerprint sensor. I do not know if there is a stock-based kernel that I added that option for Android auto
Android Auto does not work on my Max2 with current Rom. Which Rome works with a Skoda Octavia 2020? thanks
Heyyo @twicko, can you please tell us which ROM you are on and which GApps package you are using?
I use lineage. So it works now.
So I've been trying to connect my m20p to my Huawei W1, every time I get to the bit where it says I need to allow Notifications it just crashes and goes back to asking me which account I want to link and the watch just loops "continue set up on phone"
If I skip the the Allow Notification bit, the watch does pair and I can load apps, so I have linked my account, but I can not get notifications to work...
The watch has just updated to the latest version of Wear OS (though it didn't work with the m20p before that either) and works absolutely fine with other phoes, including a Pixel 2 on Pie.
Getting a bit pissed off with this phone tbh.
I found that clearing the cache & data from the google framework fixed quite a few little issues like this
Hi thanks can you let me know how you did this? I could only find cache?
Did that but it is still crashing as soon as I try to enamel notifications on the setup...
Hi
I fixed the wear OS issue by granting access to notifications to the wear OS application.
In settings search notification access > select notification access > toggle wear OS
Brilliant. Thank you!
I currently have a Nokia 7.1 running android 9. I’m running into an issue where I’m being clocked out in TSheets because location data isn’t available. I’m able to clock in, but after about 21 minutes of the phone being locked (screen off, not using the phone), it clocks me out.
This is the notification error I receive when I’m clocked out:
“You’ve been clocked out
Your company requires location while on the clock. Please turn on location for TSheets in you device’s Settings.”
This is what TSheet support sees in the log:
https://imgur.com/a/tfq9odd
I checked on a few things like turning off battery optimization, and battery saver. Also, I made sure that location was turned on. Looking further into the issue, I made sure that android wasn’t optimizing the TSheets apps by going in Settings>Battery>Battery Usage, clicking on the TSheets app>Battery optimization. From there I located the TSheets app and LoactionServices and tapped on “Don’t optimize”.
One more thing is that I was coming from a Samsung S8 (no issues at all with TSheets) to the Nokia 7.1. I used google backup which download and installed all of my previous apps on the Nokia. After I ran into issue with the TSheets app, I uninstalled the app, and tried to reinstall it. I noticed that I was able to search and find the app in the play store, but it would not let me install it; it simply did not have an install button. I checked a couple of other apps, and they were fine. I found a workaround to get TSheets installed by doing a standard search for TSheets, so it appears in a list. To the right of the app is a menu button (3 dots) which let me install TSheets again.
Can anyone think of anything I'm missing, and the reason why I cant get TSheets working correctly on my Nokia 7.1?
You could try the solutions suggested here: https://dontkillmyapp.com/nokia
It seems to be the case that Nokia doesn't really look at the 'don't optimize' setting they provide. I think uninstalling the evenwell powersaving app via ADB should do the trick. I haven't tried it myself, though.
If you do, please report back.
EDIT: I had a 6.1 for a short while, before the Nougat update, and it used to aggressively close my stuff, but I've been experimenting with my 7.1 (since the latest update, I have the January 1 patch) and it doesn't kill my music with screen off, it doesn't kill my (exotic) navigation with screen off, in short, I don't suffer any issues whatsoever with regard to power saving.
Suddenly my Pixel 6 running Android 13 can no long use Google Voice. I have tried 2 different cars, 3 different USB cords, clearing cache and data, uninstalling and reinstalling the Android Auto App. All with no luck. About the only thing left I can think to do is factory reset. I hate to go to that extreme, but I drive a lot and need a functioning Android Auto.
Android Auto lets me answer calls. (It may actually be the car that is doing that). Any attempt to read incoming messages, ask directions, text a contact, ask a question, or place a call come back with "Oops, something has gone wrong, try again later". Once unplugged from the vehicle, everything works fine.
Do you have Ad Guard or some sort of adblocker installed?
I had the same problem and had to disable it for android auto, assistent, google apps and all other google apps I could find.
Problem solved

No ad blocker installed.
Another odd thing is this: On the Android Auto screen, You Tube Music is now at the top. I do not use it. I use Pandora instead. This is really strange.
You can disable YouTube Music on your mobile, it won't show up or in Android Auto select what should be on the screen.
As for your initial problem, this is not really related to the Pixel 6, the problem is related to the Google Assistant and the Google App.
Cheers
Yes, I suspected as much.
You should check your internet connection is working fine, update the Google Voice and Android Auto app, also make sure that DND is not enabled.

Perhaps using the beta versions of Google Play services, Google app and Android auto fixes the issue you're encountering. And make sure that all permissions are enabled aswell.
Ps : the beta versions can be downloaded from apkmirror.
Ended up having to factory reset the phone to fix this.
