Universal Tablet Desktop Dock for Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 - Galaxy Tab 2 Accessories

Greetings,
I just wanted to share this "blast from the past" story with our community members (both old and new) regarding the outstanding development efforts of @Android-Andi @Ziyan @html6405 and anyone else involved in the on-going development of software and drivers for our beloved devices.
This particular story started way back in 2016 with this post...
[CLOSED][ROM][6.x] LineageOS 13.0
LineageOS 13.0 [#MARSH] [#ESPRESSONAME] [#WHATSLOS] [#KANGERS] [#WARRANTY] [#INFOLOS] [#DSOURCELOS] Downloads: Please use latest espresso-common TWRP to flash this rom, you can find it here. (Other recoveries might work...

I took notice of the mention of "keyboard dock" fixes for the GT2 family in the posts for [23 June 2020|28 June 2020|02 July 2020] and wondered what this could be?
Now I don't have a Keyboard Dock for my tablet (P5113) but I was reminded of my dusty old Desktop Dock (EDD-D100BE).
Universal Tablet Desktop Dock, Black | Samsung Business Gulf
The Samsung Universal Tablet Desktop Dock (Black) is compatible with a range of smartphones & allows charging as well as connections to audio equipment.

and wondered... after all this time... could it be possible? (So, off to AFH to begin testing)...

I tested each of Andi's latest builds for my P5113 (espressowifi) tablet with LineageOS, Slim and OmniROM (Android 6.0.1 and 7.1.2) and I am very happy to report that all of Andi's builds now support my Desktop Dock (EDD-D100BE).
So, if you have another variant of this tablet or a similar charging dock and would like to use it with one of the custom ROM builds (listed here), I recommend you give it a try.
Thanks.

already did... how exactly do i go about flashing? the file doesn't seem that large so do i clean the data, system, etc. after flash of stock?
EDIT: nvm i figured it out
I am just sitting here, wondering why the OP has not provided any links himself. It took a different user to provide links to the ROMs that aren't even for Android Oreo.
There's also no disclaimer or warning or instructions anywhere, which is very concerning because people are more likely to mess up and blame us due to there being no instructions to flash it properly, and no warning or disclaimer to tell the consumers to absolutely be careful.

already enjoying it very much. the snappy speed is really nice and got gapps installed into it with ease. hope the audio and video gets fixed soon, love me that dolby atmos mod
I'm pretty sure that we can't torrent our nightly releases or claim we can actually produce stable builds because honestly, nightly builds are typically associated as being stable nowadays, with unofficial builds being unstable, and not everyone has a torrent client and some might not want to use one.
By the way, it's worth noting that certification for devices on Nougat has been shut down by Google, and they want everyone to go to Oreo really badly, so the sooner we can output some Oreo builds that won't just make people rip their hairs out, the better.
@Paradoxify I can't get the torrent files to work. I can add them to my torrent client, but they never start downloading. Tried force rechecking, no dice. Is there an androidfilehost link? I don't use discord, and don't plan to.
Edit; Finally got both files. Deadmans twrp does not work. When I boot to recovery all I get is a black screen. And when I try installing with ashyx's twrp, the assert script erroneously thinks I have the LTE version of the sm-T350 and will not install. If I remove the assert script, it will install, but will not boot.

I will no longer be part of this team starting at this point in time. I will return to focusing on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and maintaining that other thread I made for the Tab A (provided that I can find anyone willing to test).

I will be willing to test builds for the TAB A. I am also no longer involved in the team either.
I no longer care if it is permissive or not, however i will still be trying to compile a working permissive kernel for nougat for others who want it
If you want to have contact with me just message me or reply here or send an email to [email protected]
@TheBestKmanEver there is a fix for Bluetooth with my permissive kernel I think I have figured it out I don't know about wifi tho

[LINUX] postmarketOS for ASUS MeMO Pad 7 (ME176C(X))

postmarketOS is a general purpose Linux distribution based on Alpine Linux running on more than 200 different phones/tablets (although most of them have only little functionality working). Various different UI interfaces can be configured for installation and flashed through Fastboot (or on a SD card).
Introduction
With Android 5.0 (Lollipop), the ASUS MeMO Pad 7 (ME176C(X)) was updated with UEFI boot, making it possible to boot any Linux distribution on it. The mainline kernel port for asus-me176c (also used in the LineageOS ROM) has the advantage that it works well on any kind of distribution. The postmarketOS port has the same hardware functionality working as LineageOS (so basically everything except Camera and GPS).
With me176c-boot, Linux can be installed in dual/multi boot configurations together with Android.
Installation
Everything is documented on the postmarketOS wiki page for asus-me176c.
If you need any help or further suggestions, do not hesitate to ask in this thread! Alternatively, use one of the postmarketOS chat channels (make sure to mention "me176c"), or open an issue.
FAQ
Can I use other Linux distributions on this tablet? Yes! However, you will need to set up more things manually. There are a few notes for this in linux-me176c: Porting - Using linux-me176c in other distributions

Hi, sorry about that. I have to admit that I'm not checking XDA very often at the moment. If anyone needs help here I would recommend to join the postmarketOS chat channels on Matrix or IRC: https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Matrix_and_IRC. If you mention "me176c" I should be notified and will reply as soon as possible. Thanks!

Good custom ROM for GT-P7500 Samsung 10.1

I'm searching a good custom ROM to flash on a Samsung tablet 10.1 GT-P7500 to be able to use it for browsing and other light tasks. Now with the 4.0.4 version I can't install applications or browse the internet. Maybe it was already answered, but all the links of the old ROMs I found here were down. Can you help me?

so, i'm trying it now, and it keeps saying, "this package is for 'p4wifi' devices: this is a 'p7510'" and i tried all the p4 options and i get the same thing. so i guess this doesn't work anymore.
Android 8.0 is here. You need to flash 'twrp bigsys' before flashing the rom.
Detail of the rom is here:https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/dev-kernel-4-4-android-8-0-oreo.3688948/
Download the rom here, the link in the rom thread is broken. Twrp bigsys is also in there

Custom Rom for Samsung Tab 10.1N model GT-P7511

Dear forum members, i have a GT-P7511 (10.1n, WiFi) around and would like to try CM.
But i doesn't found the proper wiki page for setting it up, I searched for several files and the download link are no longer available, considering that the posts date back to 2014/2015.
I am very thankfully if someone can please assist me and point me in the right direction, I would like to understand if there is the possibility to update the android version, considering that the current 4.0.4 no longer makes use of the google play store and therefore not even youtube, a function that was used by my daughter.
Thank you so much in advance, I hope to be able to solve it, after days and days of research I am losing hope and to be able to give new life to the tablet to be able to give it to my little daughter.
The Gtab 7511 is the German Version of the 7510.
The latest AOSP is created by decatf V 7.1.2 of 2019..

You have to use Odin to flash the TWRP, if TWRP successfully installed you have to boot into Recovery , wipe factory reset ,than wipe system ,cache, data and ( data media if you a ext.sdcard where you have downloaded the ROM )
Search on youtube how to install TWRP and LOS on Galaxy Tab gt-p7510
Than you can follow the steps.
