Hi guys
I've just received Tanix TX9S android box and I'm trying to flash a custom rom but my computer doesn't detect the box. I'm using Win 10 Pro 64bit and I've tried reinstalling the burning tool, installing with driver signature off, restarting, changing usb ports on both the pc and the box but it just doesn't work. I'm using this cable: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000574237363.html
Any ideas?

Cable Looks Quite Thin, It Says IUts A Data Cable So Should Work Just Might Not Provide Enough Power, Try Connecting Power At Same Time, that may help, or you might have to use mask rom mode to force your box to be detected
I tried connecting power but to no avail. I don't think I will be opening the box so I'll have to live with stock ROM

Aww, something you should try, when you eventually upgrade and it becomes a spare device
Maybe I can try with an sd card.
I also have some logs in amlogic folder.
I've noticed 'NoDeviceConnected' error and sometimes 'Other device'.

Yhea SD Card Is Another Option, i Just Generally don't recommend This Method as if you flash a incompatible firmware and your device wont turn on then USB Burn Tool Will Be needed To Fix And Flash From a "Bricked" State
I managed to flash my box.
I used the latest burning tool v3.1.0. During the installation, I plugged my box into the computer and saw that it not only installed world cup drivers, but additional ones as well which was a good sign. I also had to use the power supply because usb didn't output enough power.

I have the same issues. At the moment that you plugged in your box with usb cable was your box already on power? en did you have to use the reset by toothpick reset at the time you plugged in?
BUZZTV XRS4900
Yes, already on power and I used a toothpick.
But flashing is hit and miss with amlogic burning tool.
Sometimes it works, sometimes doesn't.
Try a different computer because for one of my boxes I had to use a Windows 7 machine.

Thank you.. I tried several options and cables and pc's.
When on power the toothpick doesn't work because it is already operational i guess
I try the mask rom method. Hope that will do the job

this doesn't sound like a good sign to me... world cup drivers !!??
I've yet to flash my box and I'm really put off by the fact that guides mention to ignore virus warnings and just to click OK. I haven't yet seen it uploaded onto xda either which makes me confident.
Try older versions of the Amlogic USB Burning Tool, newer versions might not work with older boxes.
You can find most of the versions here: Amlogic USB Burning Tool - All Versions
The problem was the cable. The Chinese one I bought first didn't work properly. The cheapest one from Amazon worked fine.
Same here mine to does not detect but i have noticed in device manager it appears an unknown device
Reinstall the driver.

Vibrant is soft bricked in a boot loop after a incomplete flash, I am able to get it into download mode but both my windows machines say USB device isnot recognized, and thus, I cant use ODIN to return to stock. When I try to manually point windows to the samsung drivers I get nothing…
So far I have tried drivers from:
-Bay_wolf's AIO Vibrant Toolbox 2.5
-USB drivers for vibrant from samsung support site
-Drivers from samsung keyes
Side notes that might help: I was perviously using a Hellybean Rom. My device displays "Galaxy S gt-9000" on boot... not sure when that came to be but maybe some rom changed some important recognition stuff??...
I found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1008383 but no help...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Try a different USB cable. This happens more than you'd think. Even cables that have worked just fine hundreds of times.
Also.... Locate the drivers in system/device manager and delete them manually and try to install them again. Unplug device and install fresh ones from either aio toolbox or Kies, then plug phone back in.
Best of luck!

Thanks a ton for reply but, sadly, no dice.
Tried connecting the phone, getting the "unrecognized device" prompt, finding "unknown device" in device manager, right clicking to uninstall. rebooting my machine, using various install methods to re-install drivers, re-connecting, and nothing.. same issue...
I lost the original cable a while back, but can't accept that NONE of the other 5 cables used are all broke... specially if the computer recognizes something going on... is it worth buying a new one?
Losing hope here, been like this for 4 days now, think it's time to go get a new phone. :crying:
Even so, it would have been nice to get what was a perfectly working phone back if only to keep it as a mp3 payer.
If anybody in New York, NY has a working odin set up that can do this for me, I have a 6 pack of your favorite beer with your name on it.
It could be a hardbrick such as bootloader getting corrupted that happened to my Sony Xperia Play (now an expensive paper weight).
I assume you boot into download mode by holding the two volume buttons, then connect the cable? Have you tried on a different PC? It can also be the weak powered USB port on the PC. Also when you uninstall the Samsung driver, check the option to also delete USB driver and uninstall any drivers. Also which version of the driver are you using, have you tried version Samsung USB Driver 1.5.3? And the drivers from here: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SGH-T959ZKATMB#
For what its worth, the gt i9000 screen appears after your on a custom GB boot loader and Odin back to stock (or probably Odin flashing any other ROM) you can change it by flashing the GB boot loader again. My phone says its a i9000 too, but I'm just about lazy enough to not bother changing it, lol.
So that's unrelated.

Ok, faith momentarily restored. But I have questions:
-What do you mean when you say "check the option to also delete USB driver and uninstall any drivers"? I dont get such a prompt from right clicking on "unknown device" and selecting uninstall? Is there another method to uninstalling drivers?
-In the link attached, I can only find "Device(Install),USB Driver (Software) (ver.1.0)" not the 1.5.3 version mentioned. What am i doing wrong here? currently searching google for the 1.5.3 but finding nothing.
I get into download mode by holding volume- up + power. Have 2 PCs ( win xp and win 7) and a mac running mountain lion (but never ever have been able to get Heimdall to work, so devoting time to odin.)
Thank you for the time + help, guys, I really do appreciate it in the time of utter un-nerdness.
If the device is already installed it will have a check box that said "Delete the driver software for this device." If its unknown then obviously not. By "uninstall any driver", I mean uninstall any Android drivers you current have installed and reboot before you reinstall the new driver.
Although I doubt it will make a difference than the one I linked above, you can try the Samsung driver version 1.5.3: http://www.mediafire.com/?r0uc3h413qcy80z
If you did manage to get into download mode and see this: http://images.google.com/search?num=10&hl=en&site=&tbm=isch&source=hp&q=download+mode
Then it mean there is a very good chance you can restore the phone, if you can find a computer to recognize it and Odin to see a COM port.
I definitely think it would be worth the money to go buy an OEM USB cord. I can't tell you how many times I have seen this and a new USB is the fix.
sent from the depths of helly bean
OK guys...
My friend, who also owns a Vibrant, let me borrow the cable that came with the phone for the last 2 days.
Tried to make ODIN work on both PCs at home, gave Heimdall a shot on my mac, even hijacked a computer at work for the better part of the morning and freshly installed USB drivers 1.5.3 before connecting. All for nothing... “Unknown device” across the board....
At first I felt that with being able to get into download and have SOME kind of a reaction from connecting to PC had to be a good sign. Almost completely convinced that there is some unknown, unworkable hardware problem present. Definitely, officially, unremarkably out of ideas here.
Nothing is beautiful and everything hurts.
Last thoughts? Options at this point?
Also, tried One-click Unbrick tool on mac. I got a "is your phone plugged in, is it on download mode?" error, but anyone reading this down the line with a similar problem should check it out.

Hello everyone,
I read many useful information’s about this watch here on forum, however didn’t find solution for my case. I got a Xiaomi Amazfit. The watch is not charging or turning on. It is possible to connect it via USB cable to a Windows machine, the device stays as "unrecognized". My theory is that the ROM is hardly broken.
Here is my question: Is there a method to flash the watch via flashtool (or similar). All tutorials require the watch to be able to go to fastboot, and this can’t be done in this case. I can’t connect this as adb device also. I have done several times a flash procedure on phones that could not be turned on. Hope You can help me
Best regards Daniel

For the no charging part, make sure you clean the metal pins and the small hole slot on the back. Sometimes there is some build inside the small hole slot that prevents the pins touching the charger.

Hey. I read all the informations on the sugested topic. I got all images for flashing. I think there od an issue with USB conection. My watch showes up after conecting to USB. Therefore the information od "unrecognized" and "not working corectly". I tried to update drivers, and it refuses to do that - the driver is already uptodate.
Im runing windows on mode that allows instalation of unsigned drivers....
Sugestions?

As I had had the same problem, I'll share my mysterious experiences. After I used pace for 1 month it become dead but while keep pushing power button, the white flash appear and then off. I changed the wall adaptor and then the watch revived.
For several days ago the watch gone dead and no white flash on when pushed power on 2 secs. anymore. I tried to change adaptor but nothing happen. I tried to clean the contact of both watch and ring, but it still dead.
Finally I switched the power cord from samsung mobile wire to Blackberry cord, it resurrected.
So I suggest you all to try changing the charging system may solve this problem.
hey all
I have an Amazon android box with Rockchip 3328 (box model is HK1max). It's bricked and the seller sent me the RK burn tool and 2 different firmware versions (they weren't able to confirm which would work so said to just try both). Problem is the RK burn tool is in chinese, and the instruction doc is so broken english I can barely follow it. I havent used a burn tool since Odin on my S3 10? years ago
Right off the top, the chinese language burn tool doesn't recognize the box when plugged into my laptop via USB-a to USB-a cable. I downloaded and installed a driver and now my computer makes the connection prompt when it is plugged in, but nothing changes on the burn tool to indicate it detects the box. There is a reset on the box inside the audio aux port, i tried holding down the reset button, then plugging the USB cable in hoping it would get me into recovery, but still nothing.
Can anyone please provide me a tool in english and a dummy proof firmware installation instructions. Thanks.
Like I said, i have two firmware versions to try that were provided by the seller, I just need the first 90% of the problem lol
Use a USB burning tool (any one). The hidden button is in the AV port. Use a toothpick for it.
Any update on the issue mooseknuckles1?
Because i have the exackt same problem. Windows sound is on when i connect it. But nothing else and no driver is running from rockchip in device manager... only the same red LED on the device and nothing else...
I have a H96 Pro Plus 3G32G ZH01-S912TVBOX-V3.0 with a green board and 7.1 firmware.
I suddenly stopped turning on, so after some research I found a solution of replacing the capacitor to 1000mf at the DC jack. Now it turns on but, wont boot. TWRP recovery was loading to splash screen but blacked out after that. I tried using the USB burning tool to flash the firmware, but it gets stuck on 7%. The SD card method also stopped at the same place and the device just powers off.
After trying a number of times with a few different firmwares, the SD card no longer boots at all and the USB burning tool still stops at 7% formatting.
I have a full TWRP backup of my stock firmware, but no way to restore it. This is the TWRP filename in case this helps.
2019-05-19--07-24-49_q201_9377-userdebug_7.1.2_NHG47L_20171020_t
Is there any way to make something flash to the device? Even if I can just get the recovery or bootloader working so that I can flash the backup.
Thanks for your help.
Here are some photos of the board.

It's one I've used on numerous occasions with other World Cup devices in the past. It has always worked with other devices, it seems more like a problem with the device.

From where you found solution to change its capacitor. Was it necessary. Being an Engineer, i dont think that it could be a capacitor rather faulty usb ports or power adaptor

It was on freaktab. The original problem was the box not turning on and the new capacitor worked for that. But unfortunately I found that solution after I had already tried to install the firmware unsuccessfully so the box is bricked. It would probably be fine if I had not tried to flash the firmware.
For kicks I tried a GSI ROM on my Jelly 2. It worked well except GSI ROMs don't seem to work well with VZW. So I'm looking to revert to the stock ROM. I have gone through the guide they posted here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qVlaYucvE44ZJqF1RCHGknEBQWy_Z65m/view and I have the drivers installed and the phone is recognized as "MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM (Android) (COMx)". Using their flash tool linked from the doc, the tool recognizes the phone on COMx (x depends on which USB port the cable is plugged into) and when I click "Start All" in the tool, in about 3-5 seconds the progress bar fills red to 100% and says "DA" in front of it. Then at about 125s, "DA" changes to "DA ERROR" and that's the end of the process.
Here are some screenshots showing the port in device manager and the flash tool with the "DA ERROR".
I've tried this from different laptops and different cables (the one that came with the phone and a different USB-A to USB-C cable) with no joy. I'm working with their support, but the time difference means communication is slow.
I've tried this with the bootloader locked and unlocked.
The IMEI for the Jelly 2 was recognized as a Jelly Pro, so Unihertz support provided me with an OTA file and instructions for installing it by downloading it to the phone and the using their built in local flash option to install it. They also provided 2 new IMEI numbers that I manually entered after flashing the OTA. This all worked fine, but they note that the IMEIs will revert to their original values after a factory reset. This was done before I flashed the GSI ROM, so I'm mentioning it in case it gives insight into whatever "DA ERROR" means.
Has anyone gone through this process successfully and have any tips?

Answering my own question, while I could never resolve the DA ERROR running the SP TOOL on a Windows laptop, it worked running the Linux version from a bootable thumb drive on the same laptop. No idea on this one but I'm not going to dig any deeper. I used fireiso-2.0.0 as the bootable Linux thumb drive and downloaded the Linux SP Tool after the system booted up. Ran it with no changes to anything and it just worked.
