I bought my Samsung s9 plus through eBay. I live in Australia.
My AP: G965FXXS2BRI1
CP: G965FXXS2BRH8
CSC: G96FOXM2BRG8
I tried updating with Samsung kies, smart switch and the phones Auto and manual update. It is showing latest version installed.
software information:
Android 8.0.0
Samsung experience version 9.0
Baseband version G96FXXs2BRH8
Build number R16NW. G965FXXS2BRI1
Android security Patch level 1 September 2018
you'll have to do it manually with odin. its not hard and not dangerous as eole make it seem. its literally flashing your phone's rom directly to your phone. you just gotta make sure developer mode and adb is on before you start and youre good

Hi,
I am fairly new to smart phone development so please go easy on me this time
First, some info on my environment:
MacBook Pro
Mac OS X 10.7.5
Samsung GT-I9100
No SIM card installed yet
Samsung Kies 2.0.0.12095_7
Model Number: GT-I9100
Adroid Version: 4.0.3
Baseband Version: I9100UHLPE
Kernel Version: 3.0.15-I9100UHLPE-CL200654 [email protected] #3
Build Number: IML74K.UHLPE
Location: Eastern Standard Time, USA
So, my Samsung i9100 arrived this week from NewEgg.com. I was surprised it came installed with Adroid Version 4.0.3. Then I read that Samsung recently released 4.0.4 so I installed Kies, hoping to upgrade to 4.0.4.
In Kies, under Firmware Information, I see the following:
This is the latest firmware.
Current firmware version: PDA:LPE / PHONE:LPE / CSC:LPE(TTT)
Latest firmware version: PDA:LPE / PHONE:LPE / CSC:LPE(TTT)
I read that the firmware version can also be obtained by opening the dial pad and typing *#1234# So I did that and found this:
PDA: I9100UHLPE
PHONE: I9100UHLPE
CSC: I9100UUBLPE
Build Info: Fri Mar 9 13:49:34 KST 2012
Now I am confused:
1.) Did my phone arrive from NewEgg with an official Samsung Android version?
2.) Why is Kies not displaying the firmware version and how can I fix it?
3.) Assuming I get Kies fixed, lets say I want to wipe my phone, start from scratch, and install the official Samsung version of 4.0.4 Is that possible and how?
4.) Any other recommendations?
Thanks for your help!

Did you tested this? Just asking because it is latest build and it is French version and my device was also French called not NEO but LITE. I had no time to flash another BTU or DBT rom but current French what i have shipped with is without KNOX instaler altough KNOX is there running, but looks like it doesnt work at all even when i sideload an app it doesnt bother to inform me. Just wanted to try before i root KNOX how it works after year - lastly i tried it on my S4 before i rooted. Just want to test and see the KNOX store etc...
Currently it still doesnt offer OTA update or something.
Then i also miss screen profile settings - which i read in a review that screen modes are there but not on mine. Someone also here stated that screen profiles are not available but i read somewhere that screen profiles are available.
Also my boot screen shows 7505 - NOTE 3 LITE

Flash firmwares with Odin, Knox will not be changed with this and future version.
I do not find screen profile, if I understand what your think.
Does anybody tried to root this Fw?
I tried and odin stucks at cache.img
It works on my ITV CSC phone
After that NEO was Lite
After I flashed that firmware, my phone said: I'm Note 3 Lite.....
After install original firmware, bootlogo was not changed.
Hi, first of all I want to make clear that I'm new on Android devices however I've made some research but can't get it clear

Thank you for your time.
Hello Everyone,
I have Samsung galaxy S9 SM-G965U1 (Sprint Unlocked variant currenty running on 8.0 Oreo Build.
Its USA Region model but currently being used in Pakistan, I believe thats why I am not getting new One UI update.
Now I want to install the One UI 9.0 Update manually via Odin but I don't know which version to install.
It is currently running on G965U1UEU3ARG7 build, when I checked with Smart Switch it was showing "Software is up to date RG7(XAA)". As per my knowledge I should search Sm-g965u1 on SamMobile and then select Unknown (XAA) in country for the right version of One UI build but I am not sure.
I would appreciate if you guys please check CSC and frimware details and suggest the right version for my Galaxy s9 Plus.

Thanks for the response, but in XAA too there are 3-4 frimware, which one should I install considering my device current CSC and Frimware version.
Thanks,

If your using a Sprint phone that is unlocked you can choose the newest one under the Sprint (SPR) filter or the XAA filter. In either case CSD4 is the latest version released
If you look at the firmware using the links below (XAA and SPR filter) the CSC entry you listed s always gonna start along the lines of G965U1OYM for the G965U1 phone. The number after the letter M is going to represent the bootloader version, and that increases to a higher number over time. The final 4 characters are going to be related to the android version.

Thanks! I am going to install latest G965U1UES4CSD4 (XAA) update for Galaxy S9+ SM-G965U1 using Odin v3.13.3. Will share the results after the update. Wish me luck! :fingers-crossed:
I bought a used Galaxy S21 Ultra from SmartFoneStore.
Settings > About phone > Software information tells me I'm running One UI v3.1 (Android 11).
Settings > Software update > Download and install tells me:

That all seems rather out of date?
EDIT: Ironass on the Android Central forums has discovered the issue. (link)
Just as I thought, this device was originally on European code LUX for Luxembourg and has been re-flashed by a re-seller with a generic engineering firmware, G998BXXU3AUDA, which was never released for the stock Samsung, U.K. models on CSC code BTU, or Luxembourg for that matter.
I have come across this on a number of other forums and you will never receive an OTA, (Over The Air), update on this device with such a CSC code mismatch as it is not recognised by Samsung.
You can no longer change your device's CSC code by using sites such as SamKey.
You therefore have 2 choices...
1. Download and update the latest U.K. firmware manually, using Odin. This will need to be done each time there is a U.K. update.
2. Return your phone to SmartPhoneStore (UK) and demand a refund.
