I hate the toggle switches in the settings menu - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am using OneUI 3, Android 11 on my Samsung s20 Ultra.
I don't know if it is a OneUI thing or Android UI in general, but I dislike the toggle switches in the system settings menu. For instance, you have a notification setting that has a toggle to turn on/off. But there is no indication that you can click on the settings label itself to go one level deeper for more detailed settings. Some labels are written in blue so there is some indication that there are more granular settings to adjust.
Is there a patch, mod of some sort to fix this?

Works for some but not all. Try using Triangle Away if Wanam doesn't work.
well this is useful thanks
I was going to flash another ROM but I figured I'd give e exposed a try. With all the modules available I can get almost everything I want without even changing from the stock ROM. Gets a little confusing with all the different settings but fun and works great for me. Jesse

All great modules from xposed installer.

Holy crap man, this is so old news...
The Wanam Xposed ROM isn't even supported by the developer for it anymore! That's how old this is...
Every Touchwiz user with xposed uses Wanam.
You're getting some hate for this being old news but I think this is a well written post that is certainly useful to those members around here that are new and inexperienced with xposed. Good write-up man.
Working tether Verizon s4 on NC5
Hey All,
I'm sure other's already know this, but i couldn't find a working method in the threads to enable wireless tethering for my wife's Verizon S4 (NC5, rooted / stock / Deodexed).
I installed the Xposed framework installer,rebooted.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-installer-versions-changelog-t2714053
Then in downloads section, downloaded the "X Tether" module by dymmeh.
I installed, in modules section-activated, rebooted... and bingo!!
Please thank dymmeh, rovo89, and Tungstwenty, and the Xposed team if this helps!!!

This is not working. on Verizon Note 3, 4.4.2 NC2, and the persistent data icon is always on.
Wanam isn't disabling it. Wanam also thinks it is disabled, because wanam shows it on or off as I mark it.
Any idea how I can remove the persistent 4GLTE icon?

Ok. By the way, I figured out how to solve it. Here is the code that works.
Code:
public class DataConnectionIconFix implements IXposedHookLoadPackage {
@Override
public void handleLoadPackage(LoadPackageParam lpparam) throws Throwable {
if(!lpparam.packageName.equals("com.android.systemui"))
return;
Class<?> NetworkController = findClass("com.android.systemui.statusbar.policy.NetworkController", lpparam.classLoader);
Class<?> Operator = null;
for(Class<?> c : NetworkController.getDeclaredClasses())
if(c.getSimpleName().equals("Operator"))
Operator = c;
findAndHookMethod(Operator, "getOperatorFromString", java.lang.String.class, XC_MethodReplacement.returnConstant(getStaticObjectField(Operator, "OPEN")));
}
}

Quick Settings options

Installed 20140722 on S3
Is there a setting for Quick Settings? There are too few options.
Thanks.

Personally I would like to change brightness via level buttons and not a slider and choose which sound options to display and which not to.

Toggle for manual rotation button?

I've been using this tablet for a few days now, and I've noticed that I don't have the manual rotation feature or a toggle for it. (It's the one that shows a little rotation button prompt when you turn your device, with 'auto-rotate' turned off.) Apparently, One UI devices should have a toggle in the sub-menu that appears when pressing the text in the Auto-rotate quick settings tile, but my Tab S3 doesn't show the toggle there. (Weirdly, my Note 8 also doesn't have the toggle but the feature is active anyway)
I did find a solution, which is an app called Tap'n'Turn that so far is working nicely, but I'd thought I'd ask if there were any other solutions that don't rely on a constantly running service.
Also, I'm running rorymc928's tweaked version of the T820 stock ROM based on the original Android Pie release (September 2019 I think), with Riru EdXposed. Thought I'd add that info just in case I've accidently done something that's hidden the toggle if it's supposed to be present. (On that note, I did try disabling GravityBox, but that made no difference.)

Monochromatic problem

Hey there,
I tried to turn my display color range to monochromatic in devveloper options and with app "Monochromatic". But everytime i turn display off, color range is back to all colors but monochromatic setting is checked.
Any idea how to fix that?
Thanks
edit: I have Huawei Y6 Prime 2018 (ATU-L31) with Android 8 (EMUI ATU-L31 8.0.0.151 (C432))
It's a Two-Switch Job

In developer options, the option you select (Simulate Color Space or SCS) overrides the choice in the Accessibility Menu option. I use this option a lot, especially at night. It's a two-step process.
Go to Accessibility, scroll down to Color Filter, and toggle it. You won't be able to see options, and a note that says "Overriden by Simulate Color Space" should show. It should stay mono even after wake.
Color Space only affects your perception of the phone. It does not alter the phone's perception of its surroundings. If you take a photo using SCS, it will still be a color photo when you take it.

A simply way to show Ambient Display only on notification

No notifications waiting makes the screen off and AOD not showing.
Recieving or already having a notification shows AOD.
On top of that you can select which apps are important to you to behave this way for their notifications and ignore others, also can be set similary for charging = on / not charging = off.
Yet it has no impact on battery maybe it will use like additional 0.009%
1- Install Always On Edge App
2- in Main settings section -> enable With AOD invisible -> but show AOD on notifications.
3- Main settings -> optional permissions -> AOD lighting controller.
4- save.
And that is it no need to enable any other permission or feature. However, please note that if you enable edge lighting then timing will be applied.
This is one very confusing app that actually works. But how do I enable notifications only for some apps?
@frgo from main page -> enabled apps section -> disable all apps then enable apps you need
won't work for me. ambient display don't shows up.
i set up settings like you said. but something seems wrong.
will AOE app manage everything or do i have have to enable or disable ambient display in phone settings?
