Hi,
Newbie here so go easy!
Ive been changing the settings on an imported chinese tablet such as boot image, remove bloatware, download apps required, etc and it works great. However, I want to be able to create a full image of one tablet and transfer that to other tablets I buy so I dont have to manually do this every time. Basically a full backup and restore of everything on the tablet.
Can anyone assist on the best process to do this.
Thanks
If device's Android got rooted then you can perform a full NANDroid backup by means of either TWRP or FlashFire. FYI: ROOT is required for mounting all partitions as RW.

Hi, I worked out why flash fire was crashing, but some of the items in the app are greyed out so it doesn't allow a back up. I think its because I still have the standard recovery that came with the tablet instead of something like TWRP. And I cant find one online that will work.
Are there any other ways to do a full back up programmatically?

Hi,
using the Hisense A5. A family member was using the phone and put in a passcode that they forgot.
I am unable to get far enough into the phone to enable USB Debugging.
I am able to get the phone into recovery mode (using power-on, volume down). which is the "Vision" recovery system.

I cannot speak or read simplified chinese. Because the Hisense A5 has an eInk screen, I was able to scan the screens and upload it to an OCR site that could convert the image into characters. Then I could use google translate.
Anyway. I chose the first option which is "Recovery".
The screen I get is the following.
Using google translate. I can make out that the first choice is "Reboot", second choice is "Delete user data" and the third choice is "Update system".
I have tried the "Delete user data", and I can seem to make it work. But after the phone reboots, the passcode is still there.
The only other possibility I have is the third option which is "Update System". If I choose that I get the following option.
As you can see, the only thing I am able to do is to get the recovery system to to somehow load the file "update.zip".
I have tried the commercial passcode remover iMyPhone, but it didn't work.
If someone had some ideas, I would really appreaciate them. I am very much stuck right now.
If you don't mind losing data then you can simply reflash your device.
Download the actual chinese Firmware from here

Hi JLowe, a very big thank you.
I was able to download the firmware. (Took a few attempts, but I got there in the end), and have it installed.
Right now, I'm trying to work out how to put the phone into debugging and put on some other ROMS. Similar to what others have done.
please help me I have been trying solutions for 2 months but nothing works. I also tried to do
1 go to wipe
2 go to advanced wipe
3 select date
4 repair or change flie system
5 change flile system ext 2
6 then replace ext 4
but it does not work. when i try to boot in to the system it goes into an infinite loading screen. please HELP (I used google translator because my english sucks)
@Boyko99
Either boot-loader broken or Android system corrupted. Re-flash Stock ROM.
I don't know if my answer came to you so I'll rewrite it

@Boyko99
Because you avoided to name phone's brand/model in this thread's title you can't really get advised.
Anyway:
Assumed these requirements
got fulfilled, the USB-driver suitable to your phone is installed on PC,
then the basic steps to perform are
1) Unlock phone's boot-loader, if not done yet
2) flash the ROM
@jwoegerbauer
I can't start the phone so I don't know how to do it I'm stuck in twrp because if I try to turn it on it goes into a loop
@Boyko99
My POV:
This is the price that people who think they must improve (?) phone's Android, will say put up a better (?) ROM / Recovery than that what gets pre-installed by OEM/Carrier ( in their R&D department there are certainly no idiots sitting around ), pay.
@jwoegerbauer
i have a note 3 its the worts rom of all
Well, it's a bit of a long story, so I'll try to be as short as possible.
Last year, and after hours of searching on the internet, I found the solution for "Custom binary blocked by frp lock" on this forum (here and here). Both methods promised to fix the lock without erasing my data, but I decided to try the second one (it consists of reinstalling only the boot image with Odin).
Fortunately it worked for me on the first try, and since this method was not well known on the internet, I decided to make a video tutorial to help those who had the same problem and wanted to keep their data.
The fact is that, unfortunately, this method didn't work for everyone, and in many cases it generated bootloops or black screens of death.
And my question is: does anyone know what could be the cause of this?
I tested it on SM-J710MN and SM-G532M, both running Android Marshmallow, and the bootloops/black screens occurred on devices running Android 6, 7, 8 and (I guess) 9 and 10.
Starting with Android 6 FRP on any such Android device is automatically enabled once a Google account is logged in to a device. The only way to get rid of it is by removing the account from the device into which it has been synced.

Thanks for answering.
Maybe I did not express myself in the correct way, but actually I was referring to the block that does not even allow to boot the device and only shows words in red, as seen in this image.

But beyond that my question is about why does the bootloop or black screen happen after flashing the boot.img file? Does it have to do with a different/incompatible version of Android/binary/csc or something like that?
Hello everybody
First time poster thanks for the help in advance. Please note I am a total novice when it comes to anything like rooting or unlocking boot but i can follow instruction if you leave them.
I bought my phone from Ali express global launch event. When I received the phone i noticed some basic functionality is missing for example : Gallery, File explorer, CAMERA APP. and so on.
It doesnt make sense, my camera works through whatsapp and such but no dedicated app.
I am starting to think the firmware was faulty. Waited for few updates hoping it will sort itself out, but no luck.
Now I am considering installing stock firmware but I have no idea where to start. I have downloaded few roms "different versions?" but i don't know how install them on my phone. They are on the root of the phone storage but i assume i must root my phone to get fast boot ? because i tried restarting with holding volume down, after language selection i can chose between wipe and reboot no update option.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
If you use the App Drawer view, you may find the missing icons there.
In settings/app-management/app-list you will find all installed apps.

Only found files in app list but I can't open it. Other apps have options of : open, uninstall, and force stop but not this app. For the other apps like camera and gallery they are not there. Do you think a fresh install of stock ROM will help or no ?
If the apps are not displayed in your app list, the best thing you can do is do a factory reset.
Which firmware version do you have on the GT ?
The GT was in its original packaging and shrink-wrapped when you received it ?
Ya it was brand new. Bought from Realme official store.
I see your firmware is A 16 mine is A13 but when I check for update it says am on the latest version?!
Also my Google backup is greyed out so factory reset will set me back big time.
I'm very new at this but I have done a lot of research on on gaining root privileges on Android devices. That being said, I'm hitting some road blocks on the path to rooting my OnePlus N20 5G.
Roadblock #1: boot.img file. I know where it's at. But I can't get to it. EVERYTHING I've read involves being rooted before I can access the file. I've tried dumping incrementals despite being warned that it wouldn't work. I tried adb. And I've tried the DSU loader prerooted lineageOS 20. I can't get that file.
Roadblock #2 Gaining root in the gsi seems impossible also. So in order to actually use the root privileges I have to flash a superuser.zip. So wouldn't that be...a waste of time if I can't flash anything but a stock ROM to my actual device anyways?? Or is there a way I can load it directly to the lineageOS gsi?
Roadblock #3 OTA updates. When is the N20 supposed to get the full firmware update package instead of these incrementals? I'd just take the boot.img file from that if I could.
I don't know what all information I'd need to provide to get some accurate feedback but it's model number is CPH2459 and my firmware package is CPH2459_11_A.08 with the security patch dated 2022-09-05 oxygenOS version is 11.3.
Send help. I'm stuck and not even like chuck.
On my *S variants, install PHH-SU and you'll get basic root for apps. And even without it, shell root still works anyway.
So the backup partitions app is still saying it doesn't have root and shell root isn't working. What am I missing?
Dude I'm wondering if I'm in the same boat as you because I have the CPH2459_11_A.08 with the security patch dated 2022-09-05 oxygenOS version is 11.3 as well. Just like you. I've been stuck in the water trying to figure this out as well. Everyone seems to have the GN2200 and most of the guides here seem to be focused on that one.
Crud I need some details on this part and how to do it then.
Wait, I figured it out maybe. I went back and repeated these steps and then just sent the copy paste commands using telegram to my desktop pc on telegram (i know i know) and then pasted those exactly
Check it out.
