Hey everyone!
I couple of days ago I bought this phone from alibaba.com because I got a good price for it and the specs where decent, atleast for the price.
So far, it's a great phone. It has one bug though which is that sometimes, not always, the volume will go from mute to FULL and force itself to stay there. Like if you were to try and lower the volume, either via the phone menu, or with the side buttons, it would go back up.
This is kind anoying, and these spasms lasts for maximum 30 seconds, ie after 30 seconds you can normally turn the volume down.
But overall, good phone, would've been better if it wasnt doing that. Anyways, to my question.
I want to install Cyanogen mod on this phone. That is the reason why I made this thread, to ask for help/informationg regarding this process, wether its possible or not.

For specifications phonewise visit this link; turns out I cannot post links yet, but just google "No.1 N3" and their main page will pop out and there are the specs. (I have the 1gb version btw, on their page it costs 199 i think)
So, is this possible? I feel like if this is some kind of software failure, installing cyanogen/or any other rom might fix it.
Also, if it isnt going to fix it, I'd still want my phone to have cyanogen if possible.

Just got this phone in the mail....looks identical to note 3 butttt ...it just isn't connecting to my mobile network. Very frustrating
Radio frequencies are correct etc. I'm on Telus network, I did get a connection for 2 mins and then gone.
On the manufactures website the specs indicate it comes with 4.2 but mine has 4.3. Wondering if the 4.3 is an issue.
The status bars are all grey with a red x above them. Any help would be awesome.

Porting cyanogen-mod is possible, but just in the way, that almost nothing is impossible.
There is no cyanogen-mod porting so far for the 6589 phones, so you have to port every driver and everything by hand.
If i were you, i would try to flash the newest no1. n3 rom and look if it runs better.
At my No.1 S6 the last firmware solved always every annoying issues from the beginning.
I haven't found a thread about this phone here yet, so i cant give you a link to the latest firmware.
I saw that needrom.com has a rom for the No. 1 N3 so you who had a problem with your phone could maybe use that.
The volume error has seem to have dissapeared now for some strange reason?
Anyways I'm happy, but I still want more discussion about this phone. It's very good actually.

From where did you buy it?

I buyed it second-hand, originally it came from tinydeal.
Is here a general discussion thread about this phone?
I got mine today, with firmware from 2013-11-18, and the camera-pictures are very noisy.
I guess this is an issue of the camera-drivers.
How are your photos?
So no.1 n3 dont have any custom rom

You have the white bootanimation or the black bootanimation?
My camera is good actually, cant complain on that.
I can give you all the files required to get the black boot animation "version", as I contacted customer service and they gave me the files.

Well, not yet atleast.
I think something will come up though sooner or later for the N3.
So, has anyone mixtured and experimented with this device?

American noob here. XDA Developer Boocy has some interesting info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438752
I received my No.1 N3 (the lower end $179 version as a matter of poverty) with the black boot animation. I believe it shipped with the updated ROM version on http://www.needrom.com/mobile/no-1-n3-2/ . I didn't use Boocy's backup and root tutorial because the cpu name has a T at the end of it (MTK6589T) and this is Android 4.3.0... it seems this phone needs some time on the market before developers see a demand for custom ROMs and we can get a straight forward fix for the GPS issues.
MTK Droid Tools reference in Boocy's post rooted the phone with the superuser button and SuperSu (after spending 8 hours researching why my MTKDroidTools didn't have a root button as seen in some image searches).
As a noob who spent the past 3 days on this phone, MTKDroidTools rooted the phone, but none of the GPS "fixes" or apps I've found work... and GPS is essential for my job. I've researched other custom ROMs but found nothing. I"m stuck at attempting to go back to stock with the needrom.com version posted above (because I didn't know enough about creating and flashing backups until it was too late).
Please link any relevant guides that have helped you in working with this phone. Keep on Google and let the rest of us know when this phone gets the attention it deserves from the developer community! (Thank you developers!)

I've installed the first version of the stock rom from needrom.com... black boot animation. I'm installing the update, which is what I believe came on the phone, black boot animation. I don't think I've seen the white or know where it came from. I'm not sure where the boot animation is stored on the phone, but I'm assuming it is attached to the ROM and when you flash you get a different animation?
I forgot to mention I have MTK Droid Root & Tools v2.5.2... and that in rooting by pressing the SuperUser button, I replaced the HBOOT screen with CWM (when you press volume up, power on, and home screen button during boot). Not sure how I did that, but I'm still trying to figure out where the kernel, rom, and recovery screen and recovery ROM are and which one gets replaced with what. Guides appreciated.
Sorry, if GPS is so important for you, i'm afraid to say you got the wrong phone.
No Fix will make a REAL good GPS, because the antennas are not really good.
With EPO and AGPS on, my phone gets a hot fix in less than 10sec, but navigating with maps is nearly impossible.
Finding satellites inside a car with chromed windows is more than hard.
Nearly all china-phones, but specially the clones have bad gps, and i think they always will.
Better buy a better phone than a cheap samsung galaxy grand or something.

Telus Network in Canada - No.1 N3
Anyone using the same phone in Canada with Telus network please help. Mine was able to connect to Telus 3G network for an hour and then gone. If someone here know how to fix this problem I would appreciate your help. THank you.

So I had a lg g Stylo and it got broken over the weekend so I had to do a quick buy and didn't have a lot of cash. Walmart had a couple unlocked phones within my price range and without being able to do much research I picked up a Alcatel one touch allura I believe it's called......well I can't find hardly anything on this phone. When you google it the fierce and fierce xl pop up. I downloaded the XDA app for easier responses and it has the device recognition and when it does its thing it's showing up as the idol 3 but the only 2 Alcatel phones on it are the idol 3 and 4. Now to the reason I'm here. I would like to root this phone which I've done and then when I start looking into Roms I can't find any which I find a little hard to believe because for the $90 I paid for this phone I'm a little upset I didn't buy this or one similar 7-8 months ago when i paid over $100 for my lg so am I able to use the idol 3 Roms? Or the fierce? Without running into problems? Also this would be my first experience with the whole rooting an Android any help will be greatly appreciated
PS. I'm not sure if it's 50560 or 5056o.

Goole King root pick the first that pops up worked for me today. I have the same phone Alcatel 50560. Hope this helps took me a day or so reading up on it tryed a few other site.

Yeah I got the root. The Roms are what I'm searching for now
I have this phone too, and soft bricked it. Won't boot past start screen. I've had it for months and can't even find the stock firmware..

Once you get root on this phone (using KingRoot) it is important to immediately download and install Super-Sume Pro from the play store, then you can get the damn KingRoot spyware off of the phone!

Me, too. If anyone downloaded and hung onto a copy of any of the ROMs listed in the linked thread (I'm really looking for the 5056O for myself, but hope to include all of the Alcatel ROMs in that shared space), please PM me for an upload link.
My 5056O is in soft brick, please it is necessary to get the factory rom to be able to fix it since I try to connect it by adb to install a backup that I have in my pc but it tells me that my computer is not authorized and I can not access the recovery. :crying:

Hello. Im using XDA first time and i dont know where i have to post it so someone can help me.
My problem starts with that, i own a smartphone called HTC Desire 300, last time i used it was like 5-6 months ago, then it all worked, display and stuff. Then i put that in box because i got another phone and now, today i took it out from there again and saw a weird thing, i have a grey circle around my display, i add a screenshot, and now if i put it on display aint working. Does someone know what can cause it? Do i have to buy new display ( last time it worked, 2 weeks before i ended relationship with that one 5-6months ago then i got a new touchscreen changed ". Does anyone know what is the problem?

I have been using Realme 1 (6GB , 128GB ROM) Black Diamond for past 15+ days.. Bought it on 1st Online sale at 1230 PM
I have no issues with the phone whatsoever, except for below
When I use the phone even for few minutes, I have to switch off WiFi , else its completely unbearable
I get headaches, there is a slight electrical shock sort of vibrations and also Eyes become sore.
I am not kidding, I have used Samsung phones , Huawei Honor phones and never had any issues.
I am forced to switch off WiFi , else phone is extremely difficult to use.
Pls advice any troubleshooting tips to find the issue.
Pls share the call center number for me to follow up. I searched on Google and didnt find the number
Do you guys face any issues pertaining to one mentioned above ?

I think it varies from user to user.I remember seeing a review on YouTube in which the reviewer said the same thing.i.e,he is feeling strain in his eyes...

I don't feel it. If you face a shock sensation then go ahead and return it at amazon or ask realme what to do.

It could be due to high SAR value: 1.4W/kg for head
Electromagnetic hypersensitivity.. ? Pls refer to better call saul

Yep it was the review of realme 1.
No as of now I don't feel anything and I am not getting any headaches...
HI @all
Updates: Did a few more experiments
1) disabled 2nd SIM and straight off the bat there was lot more radiation
Also
2) Did SIM swap at Vodafone for both the SIMs (i.e got new SIM with 4G enabled) and enabled both the SIM again
And now no more headaches/eyes strain/etc
All is well now.
We can close this thread.
Summary : Do a SIM swap if not already should you experience high Radiation.
My realme narzo 30a causing severe headaches as well what 2 do??

Nope, it is really weak vibration.
this was discussed here and every other forum for this device so hello it's 6 months later do your research 1st
Mine is ok I can here it buzzing on the desk or in my pocket, it's not like we need a blow your d#$k off setting. ??

I did it, maybe i didn't notice. Like i didn't noticed your previous reply about checking the device at the store. lol
