I recently got a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Global (MIDO) phone and today I noticed after taking a selfie that the image is mirrored.
I went into the camera app (stock) and tried to find a setting to disable mirrored images but have so far had no luck.
Does anyone know how can I make the front facing camera take normal pictures? As simple as MIUI might try to be, I cant believe
there might not be such an option.
It is black 3/32 version, everything 100% stock

I have bought my Mi 8 Lite a few days ago. The device is good but the camera quality is not so good. When I take a picture with the camera there is a lot of noise. I think that the camera has more potential, maybe there is some software problem?
Do you have the same problem?
The software version of my device is - android version 8.1.0 OPM1.171019.019, MIUI version - Global 10.2(10.2.2.0)

No, i do not get the same issues with my Mi 8 Lite, Noise only happens in Low-Light which is normal for a lot of cameras.
Camera is the best in that price range

In low light the camera isn't doing well and yes in that price range it's ok.
Hey guys,
Been following this community for a while and decided to move on from my Nexus 6p to the pocophone which I was eagerly excited for.
I immediately updated from miui 9 with Android 8 to miui 10 with Android 9 and noticed my camera autofocus is stuck on.
This happens inside the miui camera app and also gcam on multiple versions. If I manually click focus it stays untill the scene changes. Because of this, only half the photos appear sharp while others are blurry.
I found a video online showing similar behavior But I can't link it
Would this be a hardware fault? Any suggestions I should try?
I'm going to flash a custom rom once the 72hr wait period finishes and see if a different kernal fixes it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

i have the same problem i just now i figured when i hit my phone on the side with my palm it fixes itself.
i just ordered new camera module for like 10 bucks and will tell you if it works as it should once it comes and i replace it.
I'm using Mi 6 so far has been 2 years. It used to have this BUG. But I'm very happy because Xiaomi fixed this BUG when updating MIUI 10 :angel:.
Now, I just bought a new K20 pro. I was surprised when this BUG reappeared. I have tried flashing many roms like Global, EU, CN, PE, Havoc,... but it does not solve this BUG .
Please CONFIRM if you are also facing this issue.

What are your thoughts regarding the main rear camera on this phone? I assumed that it was worse than the camera on Mi 11 and Mi 10T Pro since the sensor is smaller in size and lacks OIS. However this youtuber claim that camera performance on 11i actually is better than on Mi 11. In the comparison below with Mi 11 Pro the difference was also smaller than I expected.
I have Mi 11i now. My first impression is that the camera is disappointing. Will probably send it back. Mi 10 and Mi 11 takes more detailed stills. But have to do some more testing.

Hi guys, regarding the main Mi11i 108MP camera, I'm curently strugling to find out a camera replacement, does anyone has an idea what model to use ? Any OEM reference ?
I have the Mi11i and the camera is great, what are u talking about? This is a budget phone, do u expect iphone 12 pro or S21+U quality?
The camera is better than these devices ive tested: S9+, OP7 Pro, A32 5G, OP 8T, OP Nord 2, Iphone 8, SE, X
Do you use the 108 mode and fiddle with settings? Or do u just use nomal mode and tap and take the photo? Thats not how u take a good photo, thats only for iphone (dumbed down os).
I find the camera fine as long as you do a little editing. Low light and night shots are a little iffy but you can still take great shots as long as you edit the photos. Photos in day light are fine. My old phone was an XS Max and the camera scores better than that in testing. Again edit the photos.
Pictures are almost the same as my mi 10. All ok.

I'm using mi 11i for 2 months and the camera quality is not good, autofocus is struggling in low light.
ofcourse it has no OIS so it ramps up ISO thus useless in low light
I have both Mi 11i och Xiaomi 11T in front of me. 11T takes much better low light shots compared to 11i despite having the same main camera sensor and Dimensity 1200 instead of SD888. Probably more optimized software on 11T.
Camera is good for me it takes good selfie and landscape shots. I was also thinking camera might be garbage and this phone can't be used for photography but I was wrong. It is not excellent nor garbage.
The Camera is good but the stock camera app is really bad, taking pictures with pro mode (manually) or with Gcam is astonishingly good.
but the main camera app over-sharpens and over processes the image resulting in noise.

Can you please tell which gcam are you using? I already tried many gcams but none of them worked .

About cameras, I'm disappointed by the 108 MP photos, as camera (digital) zoom is limited to x2, which is a shame in such a HiRes lens.
