UK Variant still has MST? - Samsung Galaxy S21 Questions

What other regions will have MST in their Galaxy S21? What other things could Samsung have removed?

As far as I am aware, MST functionality has been removed completely. No version of the device will have it.

I believe the Indian variant still has it, so I don't think it's completely removed.

[Q] Australia

Anyone know the spec for the AU galaxy s II?
E.g. exynos? or tegra? Nfc or no nfc?
Current ones are Optus branded apparently. Exynos with no NFC.
The current ones are the same as the European version, meaning they have the very same features as the UK version (Super Amoled Plus, Exynos, no NFC).
Apart from the Korean version no other regional version supports NFC right now (with the only exception being the Indian version which is due for release tomorrow).
If I was in Australia I'd probably go for the Indian version as it has the same specs as the European version (Super Amoled plus, Exynos) plus an NFC chip integrated.
Even if you don't need NFC at all, having NFC on board will certainly increase your resale value which is quite useful when you'll sell it on ebay in a couple of months because of the Galaxy S III's upcoming release
Anyone have info on the upcoming one by vodafone au?
I actually like to have nfc as well...

Sumsung Pay on Exynos variant?

Does anyone know if Samsung Pay can be made to work in the US on the International Exynos variant? I've been monitoring the other Galaxy threads and there;'s been some success, but haven't seen anything on the S9 yet.
There are all types of issues trying to get Samsung Pay working on an international Galaxy device.
I contacted Samsung Support last year or the year before and they stated that Samsung Pay could possibly work if the origin country of the device you are using supports Samsung Pay.
I couldn't get it to work properly back then and I switched phones before I could resolve the issue.
Not sure how it is now. If Samsung Pay is important to you, I'd recommend an unlocked US variant of the phone.

Note 9 to S9+???

I have a Note 9 from rent a center, in the US. However it's the n9600 Peru version. I can't do much with it because of that, like Samsung Pay and other features. I can't flash any firmware other than other n9600 firmware. However, they also have an S9+ it's the G965u model which seems to be a US unlocked version? Would I be better off with that? Especially where I'll be using TMobile?

Planning to buy an A10 - how do I know if my country's version is rootable/moddable?

Due to my current phone breaking down, I'm now searching for the cheapest phone available that is able to run a custom ROM, has a fingerprint scanner, and most importantly, is sold at a major store in my country (Costa Rica). The vast majority of phones I can find are either Huawei, which is notorious for being practically unhackable and therefore are a no-go, or Samsung, which is a 50/50 chance. From what I've gathered, the Samsung devices whose chipsets are compatible with modding (Exynos) are typically not available officially in Latin America (which usually carries the Snapdragon version instead) and so the Exynos versions must be imported from Europe, which might take months of shipping and end up overpriced. Despite of everything, however, after checking in several stores in my country, the Galaxy A10 seems to be the only phone I could find that lands in the sweetspot for capability and price - if only there was a way to mod it, that is. My question is, is it possible to know beforehand which models of the A10 are rootable and/or moddable in any way, and which ones are not? (Remember, my current phone is broken and so I must jot the compatible models down in order to compare before paying)
No 30-day money back guarantee? No CoD's? 1-800...
So basically not the us version a102u (the u is the start of the country code in the device f/w # ie.A102USQS5ATA7)
BUT I don't know if your internet shopping listing will provide you with that before purchasing. They may just say yes to get the sale. (Don't ask the barber if you need a haircut)
TLL
Get a unlocked LG k10 or Aristo series w/ the features

Mainland China Note 20 touchscreen not working; firmware update to HK/TW possible?

Hi everyone. I'm an American who lived in China for a long time, and bought a Samsung Note 20 5G (SM-G9810) a few months before I moved back to the US last year. Yesterday, the touchscreen stopped working, so I'm only able to use it via the stylus. I tried *#2663# to update the TSP FW, but the version as "NA" and won't update. I backed up everything to my PC and was going to try a factory reset.
The official Samsung store I bought it from in Shenzhen told me it had no restrictions on Google apps and would be 100% customizable, but that ended up not being the case; the search functions and everything else on it defaults to Baidu or other Chinese services, news updates are all from Xinhua in Chinese, extolling the unassailable greatness of Xi Jinping Thought, etc. I put all the Google apps on, but some of the integration is lacking and it has always had some annoying little hiccups, and some of the bloatware that it came with can't be removed.
I noticed the HK and Taiwan versions of the Note 20 5G are the same model code and also use the same chipset (9810 with Snapdragon, vs G981F/B/etc with Exynos for the rest of the world), and the updates for the 9810 are available for those three places. Am I correct in thinking that if I reset it with the HK or Taiwan firmware via Odin, then I shouldn't have to deal with Mainland bloatware and apps, since they don't have the same regional restrictions?
I'm thinking about buying an N9860, did you ever get this figured out?
