I'm using OnePlus 8.
I've just receive this watch GTR2e with Zepp and the only issue I've is the Whatsapp notification
I have multiple 2x, 3x, 4x the same notification. Grouped messages or 1 contact, I have the same messages on the watch
I've tried to use only Amazfit & notify, with some exclude filter making work great but the synchronisation and setting of the watch is not as good as Zepp and using twice application is not good
I've send some message to Zepp, but i think this is Whatsapp issue...
Because before GTR2e, I've used Bip Lite with mi fit + amazfit & notify and i've just set the notification on amazfit & notify => I have issue but i can't avoid it by setting some exlcude filter. Also having some synchronisation issue.
Do anybody have same issue as me and have a fit ?
Some friend got Samsung watch and samsung phone, and don't have issue
Before that, I was using Huawei Mate 10, i have this whatsapp issue, and was using Poco F1 also having this

Hello,
I have been using the BIP for about a week , everything is going pretty good but I think I have conflicts with Mi Fit app and Notify & Fitness.
When I receive an email , I get 1 message on the watch telling me that I have a new message to check my phone and another one giving me the sender and the tiltle of the mail.
How do you set the two apps to have only the message with the most info ?
I tried loads of things but it never works like I want to

you can't have both apps to show you notifications from the same app (for example messenger)
either check to have notifications from mi fit , either from notify
of course if you choose notify you will have more options
This is how I am set.
I gave permissions , etc...
I do get notifications now from notify & fitness but I don't get any text!
I did set N&F to show text ! OR is it a PRO only option ?
Did you sorted it out?
Yes , i had to desactivate everything on mifit and I went to notify & fitness pro.

Ok. With this config I had issues. I ended installing mifit but when I go fat from the phone, sometimes, i doesn't re connect... I have to reboot. Do you have the same ?

I'm quite new to the BIP and my focus in currently on the notification functionality. I have tools & amazfit running for handing notifications over to the BIP. However, I have observed some strange behaviour and need your assistance or at least info, whether you are experiencing the same:
1.) In some cases, whatsapp notifications are delivered multiple times to the BIP. This means, after notification A was delivered to the watch (and not read/deleted on the phone) and a second whatsapp message comes in, the watch does not get a notification on the new message content, but the one delivered before. It somehow seems that tools & amazfit does some wrong parsing of whatsapp notifications (when there are unread messages on the phone)
2.) The "Missed Notifications" feature doesnt work for me. Messages coming in during a connection-loss are not delivered to the watch after reconnect (checked this for text and whatsapp messages)
I did a fresh reinstall on mifit and tools&amazfit. All are exempted from battery saver. Did not solve above issues.
Phone OS is lineage 14.1 (7.1.2) / Samsung Galaxy St
BIP, Mifit and tools&amazfit are up-to-date.

I had the same problem with other apps, but not all (mainly Calendar)
This weekend i saw a new version with an extra option (per app setting) to not show double notifications.
And today i have had not one double notification, so that works.
Just open N&A app, click on the menu button (3 lines top left).
In the top, you will see something about a new update. Click on it to download and install.

I have the same issue, receiving multiple notifications of the same message. Ideas?
Not only GMail, I have the same problem with another email app called TypeApp. You can try Notify & Fitness, it supports notifications for Pace/Stratos, as it filters notifications maybe it can prevent double notifications for these apps.

Lovely new Amazfit GTR 42mm (International version) arrived from gearbest this week. I’m having serious issues getting it to simply receive notifications with the notification text (e.g first few lines of an sms / WhatsApp / email). Here’s what I’ve tried to resolve:
1) Phone has Amazfit app installed.
2) Bought “Tools & Amazfit” : doesn’t pair with GTR42 even with manual entry of Bluetooth address. Uninstalled.
3) Installed “Notify & Fitness for Amazfit”. Does pair with watch but not able to get it to show notifications with text. Uninstalled.
4) Installed “Tools & Mi Band”. Same issue as 3 above. Uninstalled.
With all above attempts, I’ve tried switching on notifications on both the 3rd party app and the Amazfit app, notifications on one app only...nothing seems to work. They are connecting but often the notification just says “message received, view on phone”.
Anyone else having same issues? Firmware on watch is: v0.0.9.26

I have managed to get SMS notifications to show text by only installing the Amazfit app (no 3rd party app installed), and restarting phone and watch, but I receive 2 notifications for the same SMS!...annoying. Tried turning on one or the other notification on/off toggles in the Amazfit app info section but that makes no difference.

I'm on the same 42mm international version. Same firmware version, and I'm not seeing that I'm afraid. Single notifications for most.
Same Amazfit app I presume. I connected it to the prev account I had for the BIP and all that came through fine.
Texts are fine, emails from gmail fine. I am getting two different notifications from outlook, but when I check on the phone for some reason there's two notification lines for each email on the phone so the watch is simply replicating that.
Same with me. I have GTR code name A1909 with firmware 0.0.9.26 (Only chinese UI, doesn't support UTF8 notifications).

Hmmm well at least I am not the only one! My GTR model is A1910, but firmware is the same as yours. I've just been living with it... I found that neither of the popular apps "Tools & Amazfit" or "Tools and MiBand" did anything to improve the notifications, in fact "Tools and Amazfit" doesn't even recognise the GTR, even if I manually enter the bluetooth MAC details. So both useless at the moment for me and a waste of £3 per app. Maybe they will update soon to speak with GTR properly.

Hi @nemov.. I'm on a Mate 10 pro. I also purchased the Tools and Amazfit app for my previous BIP that I had.
I notice that that app is only for use with the BIP, MiBand and Cor.. all of which use the Mi App rather than Amazfit App. When I re-installed that app it was then also asking me to re-install the Mi Band app as well, so I guess no support for the GTR in there just yet,
Hi. I have amazfit gtr 42 mm and whenever I received WhatsApp notification it shows the old one which I have not read instead of showing me the latest one. Its bit annoying.

This is an issue with Android.
The shows the same notifications as Android shows you. So when Android doesn't show the last notification then the GTR also won't show you the latest notification.
The app Notify and Fitnes for Amazfit has a fix for this. But for me that app gives a drain on my phone. I already contacted Amazfit if they can also fix this like in the N&F app, but they did not respond to that at all.
Since Android 7.0 there were a lot of changes in notification system and Huami never bothered to improve how Amazfit handles them. That's why AmazMod is needed for the real watches. BIP and alike as GTR/GTS are doomed since they are dumb watches, or you must rely on badly written apps like N&F...
