"The system has been destroyed" after flashing TWRP - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

Hey, I'm trying to test a few different custom ROMS, in one of them it said to flash the latest firmware, and so I did, I then unlocked the bootloader again and installed TWRP joyeuse version 3.41, which worked just fine for me before even on the latest firmware version.
So once I flash the TWRP I'm getting the "The system has been destroyed" screen. I can just reflash the official firmware, but I'm not sure which steps I should try differently....
I might try OraneFox, though I really love the original TWRP if that would be possible to use.
Thanks for the help

Updating Firmware is optional. Use can continue to use ROMs without updated firmware, and be careful don't flash curtana firmware on joyeuse or you can hard brick your phone.

problem with twrp and oos 3.x.x

hello,
my current situation: i am on oos 2.2.3, not rooted, twrp 3.0.1-0 running.
i want to install a 3.x.x oos, version, i wanted to install 3.1.2 first, cause oneplus site i can install that directly form 2.2.3 (no such info on 3.1.3 and 3.1.4)
when i try to install with twrp, it says "this package is for "Oneplus" devices, this is a "ONE"
i think i am using the wrong twrp version. tried to install the newest (3.0.3-0), but this one doenst work, can not boot into it.
please help
Best is to fastboot flash old OOS 2 recovery
Then, with it, flash the 2.2.3. Reboot. then Flash 3.1.4. with the recovery
First you need to flash official oxygen os recovery for android 5.1 lollipop https://s3.amazonaws.com/oxygenos.oneplus.net/OPX_recovery.img Now you will be able to boot the phone. Now download and copy oxygen os 3.1.4 to internal memory http://downloads.oneplus.net/devices/oneplus-x/ Reboot into recovery and flash the rom.
Aftrr successful flash of oos3 boot into fastboot and flash latest twrp from twrp website.. This time it should work.
thanks, it work with the costum recovery.
on 3.1.4 i installed a slightly older twrp form sparkfire (3.0.2 i think), rooting and installing xposed worked fine though.
is it important to have the latest twrp?
and another question. at some point in my hours long struggel with updating my opx i softbricked it. i guess my bootloader was locked and i tried to install another recovery. i expected it to be still unlocked from my first rooting months ago. when does the bootloader lock?

It is always recommended to use latest (bugs free)
You can use this one https://dl.twrp.me/onyx/twrp-3.0.3-0-onyx.img latest as of now. And no u didn't brick ur phone. U flashed a new twrp for old bootloader version. Thts y u got stuck with oneplus logo. Its all oneplus things. Its always preferred to use stock recovery for updating bootloader which is safe. Check your bootloader state by giving this cmds "fastboot oem device-info"

Le Max 2 update from 5.9.023S to 5.9.026S failed

Need your help.
My Le Max 2 is running 5.9.023S stock rom at the moment. Recovery has been changed back to Stock recovery (previously is TWRP).
The Rom update keep prompting for new Stable version 5.9.026S but when I follow OTA update it download, restart to Recovery try to update and Failed with Status "Failed to Update".
I even download the Rom file, change it to update.zip and do manual flash but still failed.
Can you guide on how to update this version?
Thanks a lot.
First flash TWRP back via Fastboot. You can flash the any stock official update 26S use TWRP just flash it normal as other custom rom. Note your current TWRP recovery will be replace by EUI stock recovery so you will have to flash TWRP again after installed 26S by Fastboot/other way.
I have a problem like that and i used TWRP (fastboot boot twrp.img) and flashed 23S again to restore some chinese apps that i removed earlier.
Then i updated without any problem to 26S.
The OTA update verifies the checksum of the modem, bootanimation, boot.img and so on. So, if you altered/replaced some of these, the updater script fails. Flashing the entire 23S from scratch obviously put all the correct files in the right place.
Where do you find the official 5.9.026S?
My phone is running on 5.9.023S and tells me its up to date.
Also on the Leeco homepage is the lastest 23S.........
I need some help also
My phone x829 arrived with 16s
I swapped some custom ROMs with twrp and at the end I finally installed the official 20s and I choosed to replace twrp with custom recovery
The problem is almost 2 months now and I don't have any message for ota update for 23 or 26s
What can I do?
Thanks in advance
16s is the last available rom for x829. To see updates coming, you must firstly flash a chinese rom
That's what I m saying
I have flashed and installed the 20s this is the Chinese rom,but since then I have no ota,2 months and no ota
You are right. I try to flash it back twice and now able to update to 26S. it works fine now. Thanks a lot.

ERROR 7 while updating lineage OS

I had downloaded latest version of lineage OS from official website and I tried to flash on my REDMI Note 3 Kenzo but I can't here is the screenshot attached of remark.
Pls help
I was just about to post about this. I have the same issue, a work around I found was described in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGVOR0kugZw
However, now that I have it installed, and try to OTA update, I get the same, I have to repeat the steps in the video every time I update, kinda frustrating and unnecessary imho. I had the latest MIUI updated and unlocked with the miui unlocker before the wiping and installing. All I have found its related to the bootloader not supporting android N.
Look at the error and you will see the issue.
Your firmware is too old.
Download one from Lineage thread and flash that before Lineage
update, I installed the firmware from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/firmware-hmnote3proglobal-t3574361
now update goes thru like its supposed to
every recovery i flash gives me ERROR 7 :/
i have a 'kate' and befor i used to flash roms without issue. kenzo roms and flash kate modem done.
but phone crashed some months ago so i changed but now i want it again. and now im back on did a edl flash miui beta unlocked bootloader flashed twrp (all the twrp possible btw i tried all i could find) they all dont want to flash a custom rom i tried 7 different ZIP of custom roms... i tried to flash 4 diffeeent versions of RR 5.7.4 and 1 RR 5.8.4 all give error 7. flash kate modem. still error, then flashed modem with emmc thing patched nope still wont flash any custom rom
does anybody know how to fix this
You have to erase dalvik cache and DATA it will bring you new setup but still your device would be updated....

Roms not booting up!

Hi! I have a weird issue. Any new roms like 7.1.2, 8.0etc are just not booting up in my redmi note 3. I always get stuck at the boot logo. The phone vibrates and hints as if it is going to boot up boot its not. The process continues and the phone doesn't boot up. It works all fine with the older roms. But with newer version the roms dont boot up. I tried several roms like Nitrogen,RR,Linege OS etc. But newer versions of both Nougat and Oreo roms don't boot up. I don't have any clue of what to do now. I have zcx twrp installed and have officially unlocked the bootloder. Please if anyone have any insight regarding the issue it will be helpful.
Thank You.
Check whether the bootloader is still unlocked by commands. Twrp in this case, is useless so flash MIUI official rom & again unlock officially.
Make sure you wipe everything in Twrp if the command says bootloader is unlocked.
Try flashing LazyFlasher after the ROM. Also, are you flashing the recommended firmwares before flashing the ROM?
Update modem (firmware). Either by: flashing latest MIUI Beta fastboot rom or from here

Do I need to flash stock firmware for S7 Edge SM-G935F first, or can I just flash TWRP?

Basically, I've searched for this question but no concrete answer to be found. I am following a rooting tutorial and it says to flash stock firmware through Odin and then flash TWRP.
I have found the stock firmware for my country (Android 8), but other cell carrier than mine, and the phone is currently running Android 9.
Can I just flash TWRP without flashing a stock firmware beforehand, or is it necessary to flash a stock firmware first, and if so, what about the different carrier and a previous Android version?

Before flashing TWRP, it is a good idea to flash the latest firmware to get the latest version of the modem, which will be useful for use with custom ROM.
Carefully read the TWRP flashing instructions so there are no surprises.
If you don't want to change the original firmware, then flash TWRP.
beware, latest firmware may bring new security updates such as vaultkeeper or RMM protection to your device.
you can flash different CSC with modded Odin (not recommended) but you can't downgrade bootloader.
use Samloader or Bifrost to download from official Samsung server for your region.
