Hi, Friends
I Have some questions i hope you help me . i saw Fyde os ( Chromium OS / Linux Kernel ) OS it can run android apps and games with Open GApss and a packages installed provided by them on its store ( IDK its name ) using ARC++ and on the Other side Chrome OS / Chromium OS can't even run the same Android apps and games
Is it just about open Gapps and they coded themselves a software made only this fork of chrome os run android apps and games.
IF i installed that packages/ software in Chrome/Chromium OS to make the same apps run as them and can we achieve that without using that packages that make this fork run android apps
***NOTE: This fork is China based os. i guess its bloated by malware/ tracking code and i guess that os is not open source so we can't determine if it good or its bloated ***
I Hope you help me
Thanks

Fyde was developed for students. I haven't noticed anything like malware or spying. For me it's the best Android PC OS.

What's the difference in Android OS development and Android App development? I want to learn the OS so I don't screw up either of my devices, again. Not so interested in developing apps, yet.
Not really sure what exactly you are asking. Android OS is linux based and I do believe most apps are Java based.
Good Day XDA!
I'm just asking a little help because i don't know where to start to.. I do have a project in school that will use ARM Board and Android OS. I have bought an ARM Board but I don't know where to start to in integrating..
1. The ARM board has already installed Android OS 2.2 but I want to install a higher version of OS. Can someone give me an advice or tutorials that can help me to upgrade or to build android for an ARM?
2. I've seen the article about building android from source but I don't know what's next after building the source from Linux OS and in building boot loaders and drivers.
3. What are the ways in making applications pre-installed aside from ADB? Is it possible to have a pre-installed app in a custom ROM?
That's all! Thank you!
Hey guys!! I'd like to know if there's a way to download the FULL android source code on MS Windows. I've done it in Linux, but I think it is not the full one, just android 4.4 (and still it is 20GB)...
There are some parts of older android version's tools which I'd like to download the source code. And, if possible, on MS Windows (if I have to do it on Linux it'll be fine, but I'd prefer to do it on Windows though...)
So, thank you very much in advance!!
Hi,
I was looking for some Android x86 OS to install on my laptop, so I came across Remix OS. I very much like it, after going through all of features. However, I found Phoenix OS too. I am just super confused now. Which OS should I install; what makes Remix OS better than Phoenix?
Thank you!
Anyone?
u can install them both, and ur problem solved
Thanks! This initiative is not going to resolve my curiosity.
What I mean is u can try install them both and see which one is most working for ur device or PC cause they have pros and cons between one and another
Remix OS and Phoenix OS are just two Android distributions - both based on Android x86. So in terms of hardware support, they might be similar. Phoenix OS seems more refined and ready for market, Remix OS is still just beta and has a lot of bugs. On the other hand Remix OS has a much bigger community, help pages, forums and users - with Phoenix OS you are on your own.
All that said, there is a third option. You could simply plug your Android tablet to a keyboard/mouse/screen and forget about all the Android x86 fever. Your hardware will be fully supported, have access to an official Google Android build with all the support included and in the long term there will be less hassle. And now with Android N on the way which supports Remix OS like windows, you will never notice any difference. I myself am going this route. I will wait for Android N tablets, buy a sufficiently performing one and plug it to some peripherals - instant Android desktop, fully supported by Google. No tricks, no hacks, no unsupported hardware.
Lol... You're having a bad dream...
You can also install a non windowed version of android x-86, after numerous attempts and a lot of failed boots I ended up using AndEx - Exton Android - http://andex.exton.net/?p=451
Does that mean you paid for it as it isnt free?
Can i run games on this OS like .exe files
No. Android Apps only.

Ok thanks mate?
Btw this is remix is not resurrection remix. And it hasn't been updated since months.
I am talking about Resurrection OS for PC
You're confusing two different Android OS's.
Remix OS (this forum) is a fork of the Android x86 Project designed to run on AMD and Intel x86 devices.
Resurrection Remix OS (completely different forum) is a ROM based on CyanogenMod and only runs on ARM devices.
Either way, it's still pretty much a no. Android is designed to only run .APK files. That being said, you can try using an emulator such as DOSBOX. But, there will be varying degrees of success.

No i know about both OS's , i was telling to that guy who was saying that Remix has not being updated see up
Ah. Well, he's right about one thing. Sadly, the current form of Remix OS has all but been abandoned. There hasn't been a single update since November and the devs have stated that they don't know when or even if they'll ever update this project.
